CHAPTER 32: CH 32: THE DEAL

[Respected Sir Cane,

I am Joseph from JosephOfficial. About our deal—where would you like to proceed with it and how long will it take? How many weapon copies should I bring for you to try and enhance?

As we talked about—if you can get me a +20 weapon of my choice, then I will fulfil a wish of yours as well.]

Cane looked at the mail with shining eyes. The unprofessional way the mail was written told him that Joseph was just as impatient as he had thought him to be.

That also meant that Cane could use Joseph and invite him as the first member of his guild.

’With the No#1 player in the server in my guild, others will soon follow. That would also be good protection since people will not mess with me.’

The modifier kill-on-sight was a problem. The more Cane read about it, the more he felt like he was in trouble.

Because of the modifier, he could not deposit money in the game’s bank, nor could he utilize a public facility. And any local police or other peace-keeping force would see him as an enemy.

The reason Lloyd had not attacked him was likely because of the quest restrictions. And he had also gotten lucky so far to not run into any peace-keeping parties.

"First, I need to get to level 50 and make a guild. Then, once I have the current No#1 player in my guild with a +20 weapon, I will be invincible."

Cane was about to put his phone down when he got another message from someone, and this time, it was a request to buy that +20 Holy Sword.

[Sender: Mohammad Razi

Hey, I would like to buy that holy sword. Will 100k do for it?]

This mail was simple as well, and Cane felt his eyes bulge out when he saw the price being quoted.

He knew that his sword would go for a lot of money, but he had not expected that it would go for this much.

It was not even an end-game weapon, so seeing someone forking out this much money made him feel envious.

"But can this person even pay that much...wait a minute...that name...isn’t it that one Arab streamer? That one who likes to blow up a lot of money?"

In his line of business, the more information one had, the better prepared they would be for any ups and downs.

Cane liked to keep in touch with the community and also keep an eye on what was happening. And that also meant he kept an eye on people who were suddenly on the rise and could become his competition.

Among their sphere, there were only a few names that everyone knew. And Mohammad Razi was one such person.

He was a prince of a famous and wealthy Arab family and owned a lot of oil and other lands. He was someone who was rolling in wealth, and 100k was likely pocket change to him.

But Cane was not going to make a deal for such a huge sum based on this mail alone. He wanted to make sure that the message was from the right person.

He checked the stream notification and saw that Mohammad Razi was online. So he decided to join that stream with his official name.

Cane lurked around for a while before he decided to send a message in chat.

[Cane: Hey, are you the one who sent the request to buy that +20 weapon? I am asking to confirm with you.]

The message quickly disappeared, and Cane was almost certain that the streamer had not seen his message. So he was about to send another one with money to highlight it this time.

But just before he pressed the ’send’ button, the other person spoke up.

"Huh? Cane-! That name sounds familiar-! Ah yes, now I remember. Are you asking about that offer to buy that Sword of Holy Light? Yes, that was from me. Why, does the offer not sound good? I can add 10k more to it if you like... just as long as you agree to sell it to me."

The man agreed to give out even more than he initially quoted, and Cane decided to take that offer.

He did not want to spend his time bargaining this offer when he could be out making more +20 weapons and leveling up.

Besides, 100k was a lot of money for someone like him.

[Cane: Alright, I will contact you through the official channels. We can meet in-game and do the exchange.]

Cane got off the chat and stream after that. Once he sent Razi his official link where they could chat, he went back to Joseph’s request.

He wanted to hit level 50 before he fulfilled Joseph’s request since that way he would instantly have him join his guild once the weapon enchantment was done.

And then, it was back to grinding for him. He was going to head to the next destination of the chain quest.

While all this was going on in the real world, something stirred in the depths of the online world.

A female opened her eyes and looked around. Her naked body shined as water fell on top of her and her hair glittered in the moonlight.

She stepped out of the water she had awakened into and light covered her form to make her clothes. She kept walking till she reached a village.

Before she could enter the village, someone spotted her and walked toward her.

"Who are you and what are you doing here? Hurry up and tell us or else—"

The female tilted her head as she tried to recall who she was and what she was doing here. But she could not recall a single thing except that she needed to ’go home.’

But where was her home? And who was she?

"I... don’t know who I am... or what I am doing here. Can’t you help me return home? I need to open the door..."

The female spoke, and the NPC looked worried before his uneasiness let off and he calmed down.

"Oh, I see. So you are a lost soul? Come with me. I will take you to our village."
