CHAPTER 65: CH 65: NEW GUILD IS...NOT FORMED?

"Are you sure you do not want more time to think about joining my guild?"

Cane asked and Joseph shrugged, not caring that Cane was asking him to join his guild.

"Yeah, it’s fine. It does not make much of a difference to me. I do not want to be bothered, but I am willing to put up with a guild if it means I keep getting such high-level equipment."

He emphasized on the ’high level’, making sure that Cane understood that he could be bought by giving him rare items.

Luckily for both him and Cane, it was easy for him to get these items for Joseph.

"Alright. Just give me a few minutes and I will create a guild for us."

Cane told him before he quickly applied to form a guild. He teleported to the place that registered the guilds before he walked in. The other players and the NPCs looked at him with a suspicious expression from the second he walked in.

They were likely reacting like this because he had the ’kill-on-sight’ motif on top of his head. So he had a lot of eyes on him as he walked over to the front desk and looked down at the receptionist.

"Can I...help you out?"

The NPC asked carefully, her eyes not moving away from Cane as she watched him enter and stop a little bit before her desk. She was maintaining the proper caution that was needed from her position.

"I am here to open a guild. Here are all my formalities."

He told the female and she looked at him with a suspicious look on her face and refused to take the paperwork.

Cane waited for her to do something but the NPC just looked at him before she decided to explain why she could not take the paperwork from him.

"I apologize, but at the current moment, YOU

cannot open a guild as the forming figure. You will have to get someone else to form a guild for you and nominate you as the leader."

The receptionist told Cane and he almost swore at that. He had a feeling that it was happening because of his kill-on-sight motif and if so, then there was nothing he could do about it.

’Should I have Ai make this account for me? She is currently out with Dani, but I am sure she will come back if I call for her...’

But that was the last resort Cane had. If nothing else worked, then he would have someone else make the guild under their own name.

However, that was not what he wanted. He wanted to form a guild under his own name. That way, he would have all the authority on what he wanted his guild to be.

’Tsk, is there truly nothing I can do about it? Maybe if I look around-’

Cane left the building while playing with his system. He had a feeling that he would be able to find something if he played around.

"Come on-! There is so much information here...some of it must be about what I need..."

Cane whispered as he searched around on the system. Due to the operator, he had a lot of material he could look through.

Finally, the system realized what he wanted and decided to give him what he needed as well.

[Do you wish to open a self-made guild? A new mission will be created...]

"A new...mission...will be...created...?"

Cane asked as he looked at the text in front of him. He had never seen this text before.

In fact, he had never heard of a mission being created like this either.

"Is the A.I. in this game this advanced to even start making missions? Are they not preset?"

This felt like a ground-breaking discovery. Or perhaps, it was only possible because of his operator role.

But whatever it was, Cane knew that it had provided him with an opportunity he could not afford to miss at any cost.

"Please create a mission for me to make my own guild."

Cane told the system and the screen spun in loading circles before it settled on the message.

[A new system mission has been created - proof of leadership.

Make 5 different races agree to be in your alliance and you will open the feature to form a guild. (humans non-including)

The mission felt...strange and the ⅖ likely meant that it was counting players and NPCs as well.

As far as Cane knew, the system was currently counting Ai and Heera in the list. So he just needed to get a few more people to be his friends and he would be able to operate a guild?

That was easier said than done. He was infamous in the server and most people did not want to associate with him.

But there was one who was not human and kept chasing him around. Canari Rubert was someone he could count on to find him, so if he got her to agree to be in a temporary alliance with him in exchange for a sparring or such, it would be the best outcome...

"Let’s not get ahead of myself here. Canari hates my guts. She would rather kill me than have anything to do with me."

Cane reminded himself before he shook his head and decided to find someone else to fulfill this condition. It would be better for himself and the sanity of everyone involved with him.

However, just because Cane decided something did not mean that everyone else would agree with him.

Canari had plans of her own and those involved finding Cane first.

"What did my brother say? If you want to find someone’s weakness, then you need to first get close to him. I want to know what made Cane and...the people around him so strong. And to do that, I need to get closer to him first."

To achieve her goal, Canari was willing to do anything, even pretend to be close to the people she was not close to.
