A Cultivator in the World Dominated By Awakeners
Chapter 114 114: The Price
Oliver stayed in the backyard of his house, smoking and drinking coffee, waiting for information from his master.
He wasn't just doing that, though. In fact, he had started to write out the entire contents of the Orde of Life.
Without the ability to send information directly like Evylin, he could only copy the scriptures the orthodox way.
In the afternoon, he finally received another phone call from his master.
"Master..." He spoke first, a little nervous, imagining what was being offered to him.
He would ask his master to negotiate again if it wasn't satisfying enough.
But he felt that Evylin knew what was truly good for him.
"They're offering you something that will help your cultivation soar to the peak of the Earth Master Realm. It will also enhance your understanding of your techniques. What do you think?" Evylin's voice echoed, making Oliver's eyes widen.
From the First Stage of the Earth Master Realm to its peak was a long journey.
Oliver might have the Path of Alchemy, so he could create things that boost his cultivation from stage to stage, but it still wasn't easy because he had to find the ingredients. Because of how difficult it was to find ingredients, he was now only focused on gathering ingredients for the Spiritual Blood Potion.
Now he was only missing the blood of a bird-type Monster Level 35.
There was even a chance he would fail to make it with the ingredients he had prepared, so he would have to find new ones.
From the first stage to the peak of the Earth Master Realm, he had originally planned to cultivate normally while looking for opportunities.
Now, that opportunity had appeared, even better than he had expected.
"They won't give anything more than this," Evylin added. "If you refuse, they will start using harsh methods. They're offering this because they value your talent and hope you achieve greater feats in the future."
"Master, that's enough, when can I get it?" Oliver replied.
"Just wait," Evylin answered.
"By the way, send the copy to me. Don't send it via the internet, but on paper."
"Okay, okay, I'll go to your house..."
Oliver stood up and left quickly, riding his motorcycle to his master's house.
When he arrived there, he saw that Lisa, who had been with him on the Mountain of Life, was waiting for him in front of the gate.
He nodded to her, giving her a more polite greeting than usual.
Oliver couldn't help but feel satisfied.
This was the feeling of being extraordinary.
He didn't wait for Lisa to enter Evylin's house because he had come there several times before.
Evylin was waiting for him in the living room, only wearing a tank top and long jeans, smoking as usual.
"Master..." Oliver greeted her with a smile and Evylin gave him a look from top to bottom.
Looking at it, Oliver's respect for Evylin didn't seem like the respect of a disciple for a master.
Other people would usually greet her with a serious expression, but he smiled like that.
But fortunately, Evylin remained calm.
"Give me the copy," she said.
Although he smiled at her, Oliver didn't hesitate to fulfill her request, handing her the paper containing the complete Orde of Life directly.
Upon taking it, Evylin read it first.
"I'll give this to Lisa, you don't mind, do you?" she said.
Buzz!
Suddenly, the paper caught fire, turning to ash in an instant.
"No problem, Lisa has helped me, she has a great service to my success," Oliver replied.
If he hadn't eaten the Heaven's Life Fruit, Oliver didn't know if he would have succeeded because, in his opinion, he was enlightened after releasing full power in an instant, not only from his spiritual energy, but also from his energy reserves.
If he had only released his spiritual energy and then repeatedly released his energy reserves, he could not be sure he would have gained such enlightenment.
It was possible that the enlightenment he got was still not enough to pass the test.
"I will make the transaction now," Evylin said before standing up.
However, instead of going somewhere, she actually summoned her portal, entering the Chaotic World.
It seemed her location and the Eastern King's were quite close.
"Do you want something to drink?" Lisa, who had just arrived, asked Oliver.
"Sure, cold juice..." Oliver replied.
Lisa nodded before stepping into the kitchen.
Oliver's eyes watched her curiously, wondering if she would get angry too if he teased her.
Of course, this was just curiosity, not that he was ambitious to get his master's personal maid.
Making cold juice didn't take long for Lisa.
She came back with a tray on which there was a cup of juice.
Lisa placed the cup in front of Oliver.
"How about you keep me company?" Oliver said.
His words were somewhat confusing and suspicious for Lisa.
"I'm not going anywhere," she replied.
"I mean..." Oliver patted the sofa next to where he was sitting.
Lisa was certainly stunned to hear that, knowing what he wanted.
She didn't expect him to be so direct, not starting in a subtle way.
She had already guessed that Oliver was also a player, although not as bad as Xiao Yun.
But the thing she least expected was that he would actually do this to her.
In fact, she was quite aware that she wasn't that pretty.
Her appeal was because she was talented in cultivation, had strength, plus had a background, even if she was just a maid.
"Oliver, I'm not a woman who likes to mess around and I'd rather maintain my dignity than be humiliated," Lisa said in response, not showing anger but giving him a warning.
After that, she immediately walked away to the mansion's yard.
Oliver smiled wryly at her response, chuckling softly.
Of course, he didn't believe he couldn't get the woman if he was more aggressive.
"Mm..."
He suddenly saw someone coming in a black BMW sedan.
And it turned out that the person who got out was his acquaintance, Edward.
He approached Lisa, showing her an invitation.
After that, Lisa invited him in.
Edward was quite surprised when he saw Oliver inside the mansion.
"Oliver, what a coincidence, I thought who this guy was in my cousin's house," he said with a chuckle.
"I sometimes do come to receive guidance from my master," Oliver replied.
"Have you started distributing the invitations?" he asked.
"That's right, this is your invitation for my birthday." He took out another invitation that was small but looked luxurious, light blue in color.
"Don't forget to come," he added while handing the invitation to him.
Oliver received it, looking at the simple words.
19th Birthday, Edward Rothschild, June 13th, 7 PM until finished, Armageddon Hotel, Manchester City.
The invitation looked more like a card, but what was more interesting, it had gold and silver lines, looking very real.
"Are these lines really gold and silver?" Oliver asked.
"Of course, they're real, there are 3 grams of gold and 3 grams of silver. If we're distributing invitations, we have to be extravagant or others will think we don't have money anymore," Edward replied with a chuckle.
Oliver was speechless to hear that.
"How's Lestari?" he asked, quite interested in the development of their relationship.
"She will come." Edward smiled.
"Are you going to confess your love at your birthday party? What if she refuses?"
"No way she'll refuse." Edward shook his head. "Almost every day we text each other. I've even started calling her 'dear' and she keeps responding. Without a doubt, her heart is only for me."
"It seems you are indeed her type," Oliver said.
"It's harder to find women who don't like me than those who do. Except for that crazy witch, Rebecca, I think any woman will accept me if I approach them seriously."
"By the way, where did Evylin go? The maid told me to wait, is she still long?" Edward looked around in confusion.
"She went to the Chaotic World, it shouldn't be too long, just taking care of something," Oliver replied.
"Ohhh..." Edward looked curious but he didn't ask further.
He asked for a cigarette from Oliver and started smoking too.
Not long after, Evylin finally appeared again.
She looked at Edward first and Edward immediately stood up.
"Cousin, I'm here to deliver my birthday invitation," Edward said in a friendly tone, handing the invitation to Evylin.
The latter naturally accepted it, observing the invitation.
"Alright, I'll come," Evylin said with a nod.
"Hahaha, I knew you would come..." Edward looked happy because Evylin promised to come.
"Alright, cousin, I'll go now, I still need to deliver invitations to other places," he said.
He immediately left after that.
Evylin didn't pay attention to him anymore. She looked at Oliver before handing him a Storage Ring.
"Take a look first," she said.
Oliver immediately picked up the Storage Ring, peered into it and found one grape-like object, small, yet bright gold in color, emitting a dazzling light.
