A Cultivator in the World Dominated By Awakeners
Chapter 115 115: Peak
"That's the Jewel of Heaven's Grapes, one of the best treasures that can instantly improve your understanding of scriptures and techniques, and will even replenish the spiritual energy you need. At a minimum, you will reach the Peak of the Earth Master Realm and could do even better," Evylin said.
"Even for me, if I were to use it, my understanding would still only improve by one or two percent. In other words, I'm willing to fight a life-and-death battle to get it," she added, giving Oliver a sharp look.
Her gaze was a bit intimidating, but Oliver knew she was only speaking hypothetically, not planning to do anything to him.
If she truly wanted it, she wouldn't even have given him the jewel in the first place.
"Master, can I use it now?" Oliver asked.
"Yes, do it in my cultivation room. If you keep that jewel on you, many more Cultivators will hunt you down," Evylin replied.
Oliver nodded, heading to the basement below.
Evylin didn't follow him.
Perhaps she didn't feel the need to watch him cultivate.
In a short time, Oliver arrived at the basement and sat down in the center.
"So this needs to be swallowed," he said.
Even though it was a jewel, he knew his body could now digest it.
He didn't hesitate, tossing it into his mouth.
"Mm..." Immediately, his eyes widened and he stopped blinking.
His body froze.
His consciousness seemed to move to another, dark place, where he forgot everything and began to understand scriptures and techniques before he even tried them.
All he felt was new understanding of them appearing at lightning speed.
Even when he consumed the Earth Path Potion, he didn't gain understanding this quickly.
But in this state, he couldn't see the data from his Observation Ring and it was difficult for him to guess how far he had progressed.
Fortunately, over time, he started to feel his body getting stronger than before.
Minute after minute passed, his perception of his body became clearer, and finally, he regained his vision as his eyes blinked spontaneously.
The greater a treasure, the simpler the progress.
Oliver didn't care about anything else, quickly checking his stats.
(Cultivation: Third Stage of the Earth Master Realm!)
(Spiritual Energy: 100,000/100,000!)
He first looked at his current cultivation, which had even accumulated 100,000 Spiritual Energy—the amount basically needed to advance to the Sky Master Realm.
The mere existence of his spiritual energy was enough to make him stronger in terms of normal energy compared to other Cultivators at the same stage.
Only those who reached that point could be considered to be at the peak. Their only deficiency was in their understanding, which was not enough to advance further.
Oliver's eyes then looked downward.
(Body: Void Body!)
(Will: Earth Master | 233/10,000 Will Energy!)
(Physical Weight: 18,322 KG!)
(Innate Scripture of Void Body:
* Black Hole (20%) +7
(Scripture:
* Ordo of Life (20%) +7
(Innate Technique of Void Body:
* Void Domain (6.40%) +2
* Void Particle Control (23.70%) +10
* Void Step (21.80%) +8
* Void Body Transformation (24.40%) +8
* Void Sense (30%) +10
(Innate Technique of Orde of Life)
* Sea of Life (20%) +7
"So this is the result, but my Will hasn't increased."
Oliver furrowed his brows, realizing that the Jewel of Heaven's Grapes didn't improve his Will at all.
Of course, this was a problem because if he wanted to use the Spiritual Blood Potion, he had to fill his Will first, even if he didn't have to advance to the Sky Master Realm, as the Spiritual Blood Potion would help his Will advance after that.
"This is also satisfying..." Oliver wasn't in the mood to complain or, more accurately, he couldn't because he was in a great mood.
Just by sensing his body now, he realized how powerful he was.
He could now consider himself a disaster in his own right.
What about those at Evylin's level?
They were more than just a disaster.
"Ohh..." Oliver felt his body was a bit stiff as he stood up.
He hadn't fully adapted to the immense power in his body.
Of course, this was just a matter of getting used to it.
He checked the clock and found that only 30 minutes had passed, which was faster than he expected.
Back in the living room, Evylin was still sitting on the sofa, giving him a look.
"Master..."
Oliver greeted her.
"Sit," Evylin asked him to sit in front of her.
Oliver of course sat down, wondering what she was going to say, as she didn't look like she was going to congratulate him.
"Do you know, I want to rule this country, to become the queen who controls everything," she said.
Oliver unconsciously nodded, not expecting her to talk about this.
He had only heard about it from Edward, but of course, he knew it was true because Evylin was ambitious and dominant.
"I took you on as my disciple and helped you grow because I want you to help me achieve my dream," she continued.
"Whatever you ask of me, I will definitely do it, even if I have to cross a sea of fire," Oliver replied with an excited tone.
"Of course, you must," Evylin said, which made Oliver smile wryly.
"In this country, there are basically three ambitious parties. Of course, the first party is the current government, which consists of politicians led by the prime minister, supported by businessmen. They like the country to remain as it is. Although most of them are ordinary people, a great number of Awakeners support them.
"But this party is not very united. After all, it is filled with many people who each want power.
"Then there's me, one of the candidates who wants to be the heir. The other princes and princesses naturally want it too, but they are too afraid of me.
"However, there is one prince with the same ambition as me. He wants to be king and gain authority over the government. He is also a talented Cultivator, but his strength is still lower than mine. He has just entered the Sky Master Realm and is not that strong. The problem is, he's the type who will do anything to win, including recruiting foreign powers and selling out the country. You could say he's a thorn in my side. I even want to kill him myself, but the party protecting him is apparently quite capable."
Evylin told Oliver everything.
"So we have two enemies," Oliver said.
"Yes, but our focus will be on that prince first. When I act, his protectors will act, and because of that, I need the help of others. You are the one I can rely on the most. Of course, there's no need to rush. I will still wait for you to advance to the Sky Master Realm so that the chances of success are higher."
"I will definitely try my best to advance as soon as possible," Oliver replied.
"You can go now..." Evylin nodded.
"Then I'll be on my way," Oliver said before standing up.
His master had only told him her plan; she hadn't asked him to act yet because his strength was indeed still lacking.
Oliver met Lisa again in the mansion's yard, but the woman seemed not to want to see him, pretending as if she didn't notice his presence, busy sweeping up dry leaves.
Seeing her like that, he somehow felt she was embarrassed, not angry.
Oliver didn't plan to bother her, getting on his motorcycle and speeding off.
For the rest of the day, he had no plans. Although he needed to gather Will Energy, he wasn't in a hurry, wanting to rest first and get used to his new strength.
He went home and chose to sleep first, not just his body but also his manifestations.
Although he slept from noon, he woke up in the morning, having slept for more than 12 hours.
Only after that did he feel truly comfortable.
He just stretched while sitting, and his bones creaked loudly, making him feel very light.
Quickly, he went into the bathroom and took a warm shower.
Edward's birthday party was only going to be held later that night. He still had a full afternoon to relax.
He just put on casual clothes and left his room before going down to the first floor, where he found Emma watching TV while drinking warm milk.
She looked so focused that she didn't notice his arrival.
Suddenly, Oliver sat down next to her and pinched her cheek, which startled her and then made her face turn red.
"What are you doing?" she said angrily.
"Come on, since when did my beloved little sister become so angry?" Oliver said.
He could see her anger wasn't just because he had pinched her cheek.
It seemed she still had a complaint against him.
"Who are you calling angry? I'm not angry," the girl replied in an annoyed tone.
"But you are angry," Oliver said.
"Can't I be angry if I'm not an angry person?" she replied with a cynical tone.
Unfortunately, in Oliver's eyes, she only looked sweeter. He couldn't help but pinch her cheek again.
"What the heck are you doing? Don't treat me like a little girl..." The girl slapped Oliver's hand because she was too angry.
"You're still ten years old, of course, you're a little girl," Oliver replied, making her cheeks turn even redder.
