A Cutie Spoiled by Her Seven Uncles
Chapter 175: Ji Youzhi’s Question
CHAPTER 175: CHAPTER 175: JI YOUZHI’S QUESTION
The Girl knew nothing, clutching Xiaobai and examining it up and down, puzzled as to why it bore no wounds, yet its claws were stained with a fair amount of blood.
"Little darling, it’s getting late. We should go back."
The mere thought of how terrifying his niece’s words could be made Ji Youzhi’s heart pound. No wonder his mother had wanted to keep the Girl secluded; she was afraid her words would bring disaster.
Ji Youzhi, carrying the Girl, strode quickly towards Mingyuan Mansion.
The young Emperor, also in high spirits, returned to his temporary quarters in the Courtyard and issued an order to depart for the capital the next day.
Ji Youzhi returned to the Courtyard with Xiaosuisui, his face incredibly grim. When he saw Ji Youyuan, his expression was simply indescribable.
"Seventh Brother, why do I detect such resentment in your eyes?"
Resentment?
Ji Youzhi felt like drawing his sword. He gritted his teeth, and only after confirming no one else was around did he ask, "Are you all hiding something from me?"
Ji Youyuan looked at him, puzzled.
"What could we possibly hide from you? You’re the Lord God Hunter; is there anything you can’t discern?"
"Stop pretending, I know everything." Ji Youzhi was so upset he scratched his head.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s all nonsense," Ji Youyuan replied.
Ji Youzhi pushed his wheelchair straight into the room, closed the door, and created an air of mystery.
"What are you up to?" Ji Youyuan asked.
"Up to? Big Brother, what in the world is going on with Xiaosuisui’s... mouth? You know about it, don’t you?"
Ji Youyuan was rather surprised by what Ji Youzhi said.
"You’ve finally realized it. Let me tell you, Seventh Brother, so far, the only ones in our family who don’t know are you and Old Sixth. But this isn’t a good thing, you absolutely mustn’t spread it around, understand?"
"Spread it around?" Ji Youzhi was so agitated he directly used Ji Youyuan’s name. "Ji Youyuan, don’t tell me this is merely a matter of spreading it around or not! Do you realize that the Girl’s casual remarks could actually cost someone their life?"
"Seventh Brother!" Ji Youyuan exclaimed. His head throbbed. He rubbed his temples and said in a low voice, "You can’t just ignore what I’m saying and jump to conclusions based on your own assumptions."
"Ignore what you’re saying? From where I stand, it looks like you never intended for me to know from the very beginning, did you? Do you have any idea how much trouble Xiaosuisui’s words caused today?"
Hearing this, Ji Youyuan’s heart skipped a beat. "Was it that girl who argued with Suisui at the Restaurant?"
Ji Youzhi’s face stiffened. "You... how did you know that?"
Ji Youyuan pointed to the chair opposite him. "First, sit down and listen to me."
"Fine! I’d like to see what kind of explanation you can offer today. Let me tell you, if you don’t give me a clear account of what’s going on with Little Darling’s... mouth, this isn’t over between us!"
Ji Youzhi glared at Ji Youyuan, huffing and puffing.
"The matter concerning the Girl can only be left to run its course," Ji Youyuan said. "None of us have the ability to intervene."
"Who are you trying to fool? Why can’t we intervene? Can’t we just tell her the truth and advise her to be careful with her words from now on? Why do you all know her situation but keep her in the dark, instead of teaching her not to say whatever she pleases?"
"You’re asking me this? Then let me ask you. Now that you’ve figured all this out tonight, why don’t you tell her yourself? Tell her not to speak anymore, or not to retort when people insult her?"
