CHAPTER 243: CHAPTER 240: MR. JING INSTALLED A TRACKER ON YOUR PHONE AND SENT ME...

She suddenly changed her previously expressionless demeanor, putting on an inscrutable smile as she stood up and moved to the middle between Shi Lingkang and Mr. Luo, to pour wine for Mr. Luo.

"My dad didn’t tell me who we were meeting today, I’ve been in a daze until just now." She said sweetly, "Now I’m finally coming to my senses, you won’t blame me for being unprepared, will you?"

When Shi Su smiled, her eyes exuded a sweetness and gentleness irresistible to men, especially with her complexion a bit wan and pale today, making her look pitifully fragile. This well-behaved look instantly charmed Mr. Luo.

"Of course not, Miss Shi is still young after all, being too composed would seem deliberate, this is quite good." Mr. Luo said as he laughed, raising his hand to touch the back of her hand as she poured wine for him.

Shi Lingkang hadn’t realized the purpose of Shi Su’s sudden change when she deliberately let the full glass of wine spill all over him. Shi Lingkang immediately stood up as the wine coursed down his suit jacket.

He glared at Shi Su with an unpleasant expression: "How could you...?"

"Oh, Miss Shi just made a clumsy slip, Mr. Shi. The weather’s so cold, and if the wine seeps into your clothes, you might catch a chill. Go and take care of it quickly, please." Mr. Luo obviously intended to use Shi Lingkang’s absence from the private room to have a "further conversation" with Shi Su.

That blatantly perverted look clearly showed his indecent intentions.

What kind of pervert was Shi Lingkang trying to sell her to?

"It’s fine, I’ll handle it later." Shi Lingkang feared Shi Su might do something and didn’t want to leave.

"Go on, hurry up." Mr. Luo persistently gestured with his eyes, urging him to leave.

After going back and forth, Shi Lingkang had no choice but to leave. Before he exited the private room, he secretly warned Shi Su with a look not to speak recklessly.

Shi Su merely smiled indifferently, looking perfectly obedient, yet her eyes were cold.

The door of the private room opened and then closed. As it opened, Shi Su saw the two bodyguards who had gone out earlier standing outside like door gods, not moving an inch.

Just as the door closed, Mr. Luo directly grabbed her hand and was about to speak when Shi Su suddenly withdrew her smile, pulled back her hand, shifted aside to keep a distance, and made no effort to conceal her disgust: "Mr. Luo, there’s a tens of billions hole in Shi Hong Group’s finances. I advise you not to walk obediently into the trap he’s set with this marriage because he sold his daughter to you. Be careful or you might lose both wife and soldiers, jeopardizing your wisdom and perhaps your entire fortune and life."

Mr. Luo’s eyes paused, shock visible as he stared at this seemingly weak and simple young woman. Though initially his gaze remained greedy on her, the implications of Shi Su’s words were so stark that aside from his indecent intentions, his business sense couldn’t ignore it. He thoughtfully asked, "How can you prove the truth of what you’re saying?"

"Without proof, how dare I stand up?" Shi Su calmly gazed at the potbellied bald old man, "Why would he not want to leave, why insist on staying here and watching me?"

If Shi Lingkang knew she held many cards against the Shi Family, he wouldn’t have left, even with his clothes drenched.

But the issue stemmed from the mutual private interests between Xv Yaru and Shi Lingkang after years of marriage. Xv Yaru hadn’t communicated with him regarding her matters, leaving Shi Lingkang ignorant and unsuspecting of Shi Su.

At this point, Mr. Luo wore a shrewd expression, smiled, sipped the wine she had poured, then put it down and said, "No rush, come over, let’s sit down and talk slowly."

The look in his eyes was clearly an invitation for her to sit closer.

"Mr. Luo, I suggest you first weigh the seriousness and urgency of the situation..."

Shi Su hadn’t finished speaking when a commotion suddenly erupted outside the door.

Before they could discern the nature of the strange disturbance, as if someone was cursing, there was an abrupt loud bang on the private room door.

Shi Su turned her eyes just in time to see the private room door being kicked open, and then saw Wen Ke, dressed in casual clothes, standing outside. As he retracted his foot, he kicked a bodyguard who was struggling to get up at the doorway back to the floor.

"Who are you?" Mr. Luo was startled and hurriedly stood up.

Shi Su, however, was staring at Wen Ke, quite surprised.

How did she know she was here?

Wen Ke walked in expressionlessly, not even sparing Mr. Luo a glance. His eyes just scanned Shi Su, noting her disheveled and haggard appearance, yet seeing no apparent harm, he spoke as if no one else existed: "If you can still suffer losses in front of the Shi Family, let’s just end our friendship. I can’t afford to lose face like this."

Shi Su: "..."

Is this the attitude of someone coming to the rescue?

She glanced at the door outside. There were no other people in sight, only hotel staff hesitantly approaching after seeing Wen Ke’s identification, unsure whether to intervene. The two bodyguards lay on the ground outside, clutching their stomachs in pain.

"I didn’t suffer much, just a bit hungry." Shi Su subtly glanced at the food and drinks on the table.

It was tacitly understood that the Shi Family’s people were too dirty; she had to constantly guard against eating anything unclean.

Only then did Wen Ke come over, ignoring the fuming Mr. Luo standing by, wanting to call for help, as he walked to Shi Su’s side and whispered in a voice only she could hear: "How did you end up suddenly taken back to the Shi Family? If it wasn’t for Mr. Jing installing a tracker on your phone after that near-miss in Z City, and noticing something suspicious from your movements, sending me to trace your phone’s GPS, no one would have guessed you were taken by the Shi Family."

Tracker?

Because of last time’s near-incident in Z City, Jing Jihan had actually installed a tracker on her phone?

Shi Su suddenly turned her eyes toward the bodyguards lying on the floor by the door.

She quickly walked over and crouched down, rummaging through the bodyguard’s pocket to find her phone. While the bodyguard attempted to resist, injured as he was, she stepped on his arm and quickly took her phone, turning it on without hesitation.

Shi Lingkang had heard the noise and came out of the restroom a short distance away. Seeing the scene, he hurried over, but upon seeing the bodyguards on the ground and Shi Su standing safe and sound with Wen Ke at her side, his expression changed dramatically.
