CHAPTER 59: CHAPTER 59: NOT GOING TO INVITE ME IN?

Shi Su finished filming early today and went home a little after 2 PM.

Jun called, asking if she had any thoughts about buying a trending search to clarify those recent online rumors.

Shi Su didn’t think there was any need to clarify at the moment. Hardly anyone was paying attention, and unless she becomes famous in the future, people might dig up these rumors and use them against her. But even if she wants to clarify now, it wouldn’t change anything.

Many things aren’t just black or white, and just because you hold the truth and innocence doesn’t mean justice will clear your name.

Especially in a place like the entertainment industry, the more you explain, the worse it gets. People will only believe what they want to believe and don’t care about the truth behind it.

After hanging up the phone and walking into the community, Shi Su didn’t pay much attention to the people and cars around. Suddenly, she heard a car horn behind her. She initially didn’t pay much attention, but after a few more honks, she felt like the car was following her. She thought it might be an urgent matter for a car entering the community and she’s in the way, so she instinctively stepped aside and glanced back.

It turned out it was her car.

A white Audi stopped when she looked back, and the window rolled down slowly, revealing a face she wasn’t entirely familiar with but remembered.

It’s the guy who drove a Ferrari like a race car on the highway that day!

"Hello!" Jing Luozhou rested one hand on the steering wheel, looked at her in the car, raised his handsome brows, and smiled showing his white teeth: "We meet again!"

Seeing him, Shi Su instinctively wanted to roll her eyes. But seeing as her car was already repaired, she didn’t bother: "Didn’t you say someone else would drive the car back for me? Why did you bring it yourself?"

"Ah, my driver had an emergency and took a leave. I had nothing to do, so I brought it back for you." Jing Luozhou said, gesturing with his eyes for her to get in the car.

Shi Su acted as if she didn’t see him, turned and pointed with her chin to the few parking spaces inside the community: "Park over there."

After saying that, she walked in that direction, with no intention of getting in the car even though it was hers.

Jing Luozhou didn’t insist either, cooperatively driving the car over. Unlike the other communities with strict access controls, this old community was more convenient, with parking spaces inside.

After parking, Jing Luozhou got out and tossed the keys to her.

Shi Su raised her hand and caught them deftly, nodding politely at him: "Thanks."

Jing Luozhou leaned leisurely against her car door, arms crossed, smiling at her: "You’re welcome. Want to check the car? I had them use the best paint to repaint the whole car so the damage at the back wouldn’t affect the body color, and I also took care of both the interior and exterior parts..."

"No need. I can see that it’s indeed quite new." Shi Su replied indifferently, then added politely but distantly: "If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going. You should leave too."

As Shi Su turned to leave, Jing Luozhou raised an eyebrow: "Miss Shi, I personally brought your car back and had your Audi, which looked like a second-hand car, fixed so well. Aren’t you going to invite me up for a visit?"

Shi Su’s steps paused, she turned to look at him sharply, naturally not showing him a good face: "The accident was entirely your fault. I haven’t even asked you for compensation for emotional distress and wasted time, and you just repaired the car. Do you really think you deserve an invitation to my place?"
