CHAPTER 100: CHAPTER 100: BLOOD RELATIONS
Mu Yan immediately made a phone call to the hospital ward.
Soon, someone picked up on the other side.
"Sis, are you okay?" Mu Chen’s anxious voice came through.
Mu Yan heard his voice, breathed a sigh of relief, and smiled, "What could possibly happen to me."
"I saw the videos online, scared me to death. And you weren’t answering my calls just now, I..." Mu Chen choked up.
Mu Yan quickly said, "I’m fine, don’t worry. I was just on the plane, my phone was off. I’ll come to the hospital to see you in a bit."
"Okay, sis, I’ll wait for you." He sniffled.
"Alright." Mu Yan hung up the phone, her heart full of worry.
She feared that Mu Chen couldn’t control his emotions, affecting his condition.
Beside her, Song Cheng’an asked, "You have a good relationship with your brother?"
"Yes."
"But as far as I know, you two aren’t related by blood," Song Cheng’an said.
Mu Yan looked at him, furrowing her brows, "Is blood relation really that important?"
Song Cheng’an paused, he just mentioned it offhandedly.
At the hospital, Song Cheng’an dropped Mu Yan off, giving her a hat and a mask.
"Put them on, you’re somewhat of a public figure now."
Mu Yan obediently put on the hat and mask, thanked him, and dragged her suitcase towards the hospital.
Song Cheng’an watched her enter through the hospital gates and made a phone call to report the situation.
"I dropped your wife off at the hospital."
"What’s wrong with her? Which hospital?" the voice on the other end was clearly anxious.
Song Cheng’an quickly explained, "Mu Yan’s fine, she’s visiting your brother-in-law at the hospital."
The person on the other end was silent for a moment and warned, "Express yourself clearly next time."
Song Cheng’an chuckled, "How was I supposed to know you’d misunderstand? Where are you? Why don’t we gather Ning Xiao’er and the others for a night out?"
"I’m busy."
Song Cheng’an laughed, "Your wife’s not home, what could you possibly be busy with? Besides, if you don’t come, don’t say I didn’t teach you."
The person on the other end was silent for a while and then said, "You arrange it."
The call ended, Song Cheng’an dialed again, calling for friends.
At the hospital, ward 309, Mu Yan pushed the door open and saw Mu Chen lying on the bed with an IV drip.
Her face changed dramatically, she hurried forward and asked, "What’s going on?"
"Sis, you’re back!" Mu Chen, the moment he saw her, tried to sit up but was stopped by Mu Yan.
"Stay lying down, don’t move, be careful of the needle slipping out."
Mu Chen obediently lay back down, his eyes fixed on Mu Yan, "Sis, are you really okay?"
"What could possibly be wrong with me, aren’t I perfectly fine?" Mu Yan replied a bit annoyed, "It’s you we should talk about, what happened here?"
"You have no idea how scared I was when I saw that video," Mu Chen said weakly. He had gotten too emotional at the time, which made him fall ill.
Mu Yan knew her brother was concerned for her, so she couldn’t bring herself to scold him.
"You should know what kind of person your sister is, stop scaring yourself."
She asked again, "Without a phone, how did you learn about my situation?"
Mu Chen didn’t dare to hide, "Uncle and Second Uncle came to the hospital to see me today."
"Why would they suddenly be so kind to visit you?" Mu Yan was deeply suspicious.
No one knew better than her what kind of people those two families were.
Mu Chen replied, "They probably saw the news about you online, so they wanted to get close, but after seeing me fall ill, they left."
She said in a serious tone, "I will inform the hospital not to let them disturb you again."
"Does that mean I’ll never know that you took someone’s place for my sake? And now you’re suffering insults from others online?"
