Xiao Nan left after sending Mu Yan upstairs.

Mu Yan saw him out.

At the elevator, Xiao Nan suddenly said, "I saw those online attacks on you. The entertainment industry is really too complicated."

Mu Yan looked at him with confusion, not understanding what he meant.

Xiao Nan hesitated for a moment and said, "I think you should find another job."

Mu Yan smiled; it wasn’t the first time he’d mentioned this.

But her mindset was no longer the same as before.

"Thank you for your concern, but I really enjoy being an actress. Those negative rumors aren’t true, so I have nothing to fear."

Seeing her composed demeanor, Xiao Nan hesitated again and ultimately said nothing more.

The elevator arrived, and they waved goodbye.

When Mu Yan returned to the hospital room, she saw Mu Chen looking at her with a teasing expression.

She was a bit speechless, "Let’s eat."

"Oh." Mu Chen got off the bed and sat on the sofa.

As he watched Mu Yan take out the food, he asked, "Sis, are you really not considering Brother Xiao Nan?"

Mu Yan glared at him, "Why are you bringing up this topic again?"

His gaze fell on the food boxes Mu Yan brought out, nearly filling up the coffee table.

He frowned and said, "Sis, why did you buy so much? Can we even finish it?"

Mu Yan expected to be scolded by this little housekeeper. The fact is, she didn’t buy this, nor did she expect there to be so much.

She bravely explained, "It’s just that the filming was so tough, so when it wrapped up, I wanted to treat myself. I ended up ordering too much by accident."

Hearing this, Mu Chen felt only sympathy, with no intention to blame.

"It’s okay, Sis, you eat more and nourish yourself well. I see you’ve lost weight."

Mu Yan knew she had dodged the issue, feeling relieved.

"Alright, you eat more too."

In the end, more than half of the food was left uneaten. Mu Yan felt it was a waste, so she packed some of it that could be eaten the next day to take back home.

Around nine o’clock, Mu Yan went downstairs, only to remember Lian Jun was still waiting for her downstairs.

She got into the car and apologized immediately, "Sorry for coming down late."

"It’s not a big deal, Young Madam," Lian Jun laughed, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll start the car."

"Okay."

Probably too tired, she fell asleep in the car.

When Lian Jun woke her up, the car had already arrived at Jinxiu Court.

She thanked Lian Jun, got out of the car, and went inside the house.

Yu Ma was on vacation, and Jiang Jingheng seemed not to have returned. The villa was pitch black, like a gloomy castle, eerily quiet.

Mu Yan entered, turned on the lights, and dragged the suitcase upstairs.

After showering and drying her hair, she lay on the bed with a facial mask, unknowingly falling asleep.

Half asleep, she heard her phone ringing.

She opened her eyes and picked up the phone, it was a call from Song Cheng’an.

She sat up and answered, "Hello, Brother Song, what’s up?"

"Jing Heng is drunk."

Upon hearing Jiang Jingheng was drunk, Mu Yan’s first reaction was, "What can I do?"

The person on the other end of the line paused and said, "The car is about to arrive downstairs at your place, come down to fetch him."

"It’s almost downstairs? Oh, okay!" Mu Yan hung up the phone, got out of bed, and went to the door.

Just as she stepped out, she realized she was in her pajamas and went back to change clothes.

Once she’s ready and heads downstairs, the car had just pulled up at the door.

She walked out to see Song Cheng’an getting out from the driver’s seat, opening the rear door, and helping Jiang Jingheng out.
