Chapter 17: Lesson!
CHAPTER 17: CHAPTER 17: LESSON!
The private room was filled with people seated on the leather sofa, each dressed impeccably, indicating their notable status.
Jiang Jingheng leaned back on the sofa, swirling a glass of red wine in his hand, his eyes slightly drooping with a rather nonchalant demeanor.
His features were exquisite and handsome, his presence noble and distinguished, making him the focus of attention no matter where he was.
Zhou Lifen approached nervously, holding a wine glass.
She stood in front of him, raising her glass, "Young Master Jiang, I toast to you to apologize for the unpleasant incident earlier."
"Brother Jiang, the film queen is toasting you," said a young man next to him, smiling.
Jiang Jingheng raised his eyes slightly, his voice cold, "Since when did offending me require just a glass of wine to resolve?"
The atmosphere around them stiffened slightly, and no one dared to interject.
Zhou Lifen’s face froze. What did he mean by that?
Could it be that he wanted to trouble her, a woman?
Impossible, men are most easily moved to pity by beautiful women.
She smiled and said, "Young Master Jiang, if you’re not happy, I’ll drink until you’re satisfied. This is the first glass."
With that, she tipped back her head and finished the wine in her glass.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Jingheng didn’t even lift his eyelids.
Mr. He, seeing this, got up and refilled Zhou Lifen’s glass, giving her a look, "Toast Young Master Jiang again."
Zhou Lifen complied and toasted again.
Yet Jiang Jingheng still said nothing, and the atmosphere in the private room gradually grew tense.
Zhou Lifen felt uneasy; she vaguely sensed that today would not end well.
This Young Master Jiang didn’t seem easy to deal with.
She somewhat regretted having just covered for Mu Yan.
"Young Master Jiang, what will it take to appease you?" Mr. He bent down, trying to placate him.
Jiang Jingheng lowered his gaze, sipping the red wine.
His actions were elegant, full of noble air, but neither Mr. He nor Zhou Lifen had the leisure to appreciate it.
He glanced at Mr. He, "Didn’t you say she’d drink until I was satisfied?"
Mr. He was momentarily stunned, then asked, "I wonder how much would satisfy you?"
"I know this one," the young man beside him laughed.
Mr. He looked at him and asked, "Please enlighten us, Young Master Ning."
The young man sitting next to Jiang Jingheng looked about twenty-three or twenty-four, with a delicate appearance, his every gesture exuding the nonchalance of a scion of a noble family.
Ning Ze’s lips curled, "You’ll know once the waiter comes in."
"Alright!" Mr. He promptly agreed, and asked someone to call the waiter.
Zhou Lifen detected danger in Ning Ze’s words, attempting to stir Jiang Jingheng’s soft heart.
"Young Master Jiang, as long as you’re happy, I’ll drink as much as you like."
It wasn’t until she saw the waiter bring in six boxes of spirits that she realized she’d underestimated the situation.
"Young Master Jiang..."
Jiang Jingheng’s eyes turned cold as he looked at Mr. He, "Finish them all, and today’s incident will be wiped clean, otherwise..."
His words trailed off, but Mr. He understood his meaning.
The task was daunting, but it had to be completed.
"Young Master Jiang, rest assured, I’ll watch over her and ensure she finishes," Mr. He assured, almost pounding his chest in commitment.
Jiang Jingheng set down his wine glass and rose to leave the room.
Ning Ze glanced at Zhou Lifen before leaving, his smile meaningful, wondering what this old woman did to offend Brother Jiang.
This way, even if she didn’t perish, she’d learn a lesson.
"Young Master Jiang, take care!" Everyone stood up to see him off.
"Young Master Jiang, this... you can’t..." Zhou Lifen tried to plead, but she was blocked by others before she could approach.
Mr. He handed a bottle to Zhou Lifen, "Lifei, you heard Young Master Jiang, it’s tough on you."
"I won’t drink!" Zhou Lifen gritted her teeth and said.
There was no way she could finish so much alcohol.
"I’m afraid you have no choice," Mr. He’s face turned cold, and he directly ordered those around to force the drink down.
"Mmm, mmm..." Zhou Lifen whimpered, filled with regret but also hatred for Mu Yan.
She was suffering for that little bitch, but eventually, she’d make her pay.
