CHAPTER 30: CHAPTER 30 SHE IS MY WIFE

In the office, a handsome man around thirty sat opposite Jiang Jingheng.

He leaned against the back of the chair, crossing his legs with a nonchalant air.

"I say, Young Master Jiang, who ticked you off this morning? You look so stern, it’s frightening."

Jiang Jingheng didn’t respond, handing him the documents by his side.

Song Cheng’an glanced at him, "What’s this?"

He sat up straight, took the documents, and began to look through them.

After a quick glance, he asked, "Why are you giving me a girl’s resume? What, you planning to set me up with her?"

"I don’t think you’re qualified for that," Jiang Jingheng said bluntly.

Song Cheng’an, "..."

He held back; this guy’s sharp tongue wasn’t news to him.

He looked at the girl in the photo and said, "This girl looks quite pretty and young. You’re showing her profile to me; could it be you want her to debut?"

"Yes."

Song Cheng’an put the documents on the table, laughing, "You know I’ve quit the entertainment industry and don’t manage artists anymore."

"Then get back in, name your price." Jiang Jingheng’s expression was calm.

Song Cheng’an scrutinized him for a while and asked, "What’s your relationship with this girl?"

"She’s my wife."

Song Cheng’an suddenly laughed, pointing at Jiang Jingheng, wanting to speak but ended up laughing too hard to catch his breath.

Jiang Jingheng’s gaze was slightly dangerous, "What are you laughing at?"

"Cough, cough!" Song Cheng’an lightly coughed, laughing, "I say, Young Master Jiang, since when did you start joking around?"

"Do I look like I’m joking?" Jiang Jingheng glanced at him.

Song Cheng’an nodded, "Very much so."

Jiang Jingheng sneered, "Should I take out the marriage certificate for you to verify?"

Upon hearing this, Song Cheng’an’s smile faded, and he looked at him incredulously, "Are you serious?"

"Do I look like someone who fakes emotions?" Jiang Jingheng gave him a sideways glance.

Song Cheng’an, "..."

No, you’re not faking it; you’re just downright emotionless.

He curiously asked, "When did you get married? Such a big event and there’s not a bit of news?"

"Not long ago." Jiang Jingheng took a blank check from his jacket pocket and handed it over.

Song Cheng’an accepted the check, dusted it off with his hand, and raised his brows, "Let me remind you first, becoming famous depends on talent, and you’ll have to let me meet the person first."

"At the Jinxiu Court villa, go there this afternoon."

Upon hearing the address, Song Cheng’an hesitated and asked, "This girl looks unfamiliar, not like the kind of noble lady your parents would fancy. You didn’t secretly get married without telling them, did you?"

"What does it have to do with you?" Jiang Jingheng cast a sidelong glance at him.

Song Cheng’an raised his brows, "I’m just worried that once the news of your secret marriage gets out, there’ll be a storm."

"So, keep your mouth shut," Jiang Jingheng looked up, a warning in his eyes.

Song Cheng’an frowned slightly, feeling as if he’d fallen into a trap.

He suddenly laughed, "I’m quite curious what kind of woman could be your secret wife, Third Young Master Jiang."

"Look carefully at the notes at the back of the profile," Jiang Jingheng suddenly said.

"What notes?" Song Cheng’an was puzzled and flipped to the back.

After finishing reading, he nearly exploded.

"This is not allowed, that’s not allowed. Are you planning for me to make a fairy famous?"

"Didn’t expect you to lose your nerve sometimes."

Song Cheng’an chuckled softly, confidence radiating from his handsome face, "You don’t need to provoke me. There’s nothing I can’t make famous if I want to."

He waved the check in his hand, "I’ll live up to the fee you’ve given, Young Master Jiang."

"You better."
