A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire
Chapter 52: Cheap Xi Xi
CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 52: CHEAP XI XI
Upper City, on a weekend night, the entire city was filled with a Paper Drunk atmosphere.
The door to the private room was pushed open, and the conversation inside came to an abrupt halt.
A figure stepped in quickly, apologizing verbally, "Sorry, I’m late."
"Brother Song, what have you been up to these days? I couldn’t reach you." Ning Ze stood up and asked.
Song Cheng’an walked around the round table, found an empty seat, and replied, "I’ve been quite busy these days."
Apart from Ning Ze and Dong Le, there were two other men and a woman in the private room.
He looked at one of them and said, "Zhuang Yi, long time no see."
"Yes, it’s been a while." Zhuang Yi smiled faintly and stood up to give him a hug.
He looked to be about twenty-six or twenty-seven, with a strong and rather handsome appearance.
Ning Ze continued, "Brother Zhuang rarely comes around, yet you arrived late today. You definitely have to drink tonight to make up for it."
Song Cheng’an was about to speak when the door was pushed open, and Jiang Jingheng walked in.
"Brother Jiang!" Ning Ze and the others immediately stood up and called out.
"Old Jiang arrived." Zhuang Yi walked over, ready to give him a hug, but Jiang Jingheng dodged it.
Looking at Jiang Jingheng’s calm features, Zhuang Yi understood his habits and didn’t mind.
His hand rested on Jiang Jingheng’s shoulder, leading him inside, "It’s been a long time since us brothers met, I really missed you."
"Wow, Brother Zhuang, when did you become so cheesy?" Ning Ze said with some disdain.
"Ning Xiao’er, shut up!" Zhuang Yi turned his head to glare at Ning Ze, "Are you blaming your brother for not taking good care of you?"
Ning Ze immediately replied, "No, no, you should take care of Brother Jiang, he needs it."
"Your Brother Jiang doesn’t need taking care of." Song Cheng’an suddenly interjected.
Zhuang Yi and the others heard this and looked at Song Cheng’an, "What’s that supposed to mean?"
"It means his care is covered." Song Cheng’an explained.
"Brother Song, you’re kidding, right? My Brother Jiang has been single forever." The only girl among them said. She looked about twenty-two or twenty-three, vibrant and dressed in a short skirt.
"Lan Xi, would your Brother Jiang tell you if he was single?" Song Cheng’an remarked with implied meaning.
Lan Xi heard this and looked over at Jiang Jingheng, asking, "Brother Jiang, do you have a girlfriend?"
Jiang Jingheng sat down by the sofa, noticing everyone staring at him.
He looked indifferent, "No."
The crowd had a knowing look, as if they expected this. If Jiang had a girlfriend, their kids could run errands by now.
"Brother Song, you’re lying." Lan Xi represented everyone in condemning Song Cheng’an.
She looked at the person sitting next to her, playfully said, "Brother Lu, Brother Song bullied me."
Lu Hao looked at Song Cheng’an disapprovingly, "Yeah, Old Song, even deceiving Lan Xi, you’re too much."
He handed him a glass of wine, "Come on, drink this to apologize to Lan Xi."
Song Cheng’an looked at the wine Lu Hao handed over, feeling speechless; they’d use any lousy excuse just to make him drink.
Of course, the most shameless was Jiang. He might not have a girlfriend, but would he dare to claim he doesn’t have a wife?
Yet it was these pig teammates with limited IQ who never even thought about it.
He was sure that once these people found out the truth later, their expressions would be of sheer surprise.
Thinking of the dumbfounded looks they’d have, this drink seemed worth it.
"Brother Song, why are you smiling like that? You look so shady." Ning Ze whispered from the side.
"When is he not shady?" Zhuang Yi chimed in.
Song Cheng’an, "..."
What did he do wrong to be besieged by them?
He looked at certain someone sitting calmly and minding his own business, really damn sinister.
He took the wine glass and drank it all in one go.
