    The token Xiao Cui had given David earlier was still in his arms. The Information Tower, which corresponded to that token, was one of the few intelligence bases in the Sixth Heaven that dared to dabble in the secrets of various factions. For a price, there was virtually no information they couldn’t uncover.

    The twonded at the eastern alleyway of Qingfeng Town. Hidden deep within the alley was a modest wooden house. A subtle pattern of gears was engraved on the door lintel, marking the Information Tower.

    Hu Mazi was about to push the door open when David stopped him with his hand. A wisp of spiritual energy gathered at his fingertips, and he pressed the same pattern on the doorknob as on Xiao Cui’s token.

    With a creak, the wooden door swung open automatically. The room was filled with the faint scent of ink. A woman in a cyan dress and a light veil sat at a desk, sorting through files.

    She nced at the two of them, then paused on the token in David’s hand. She spoke tly, “The Information Office only recognizes tokens, not people. What are you investigating? Let me be clear: if it involves secrets of the Divine Kingdom or core ns of the Temple, you’ll need to pay a premium of high-grade immortal stones, and thepleteness of the information isn’t guaranteed.”

    “We’re investigating the theft of the Leiyin Bell from Leiyin Mountain three days ago.”

    David ced the token on the desk. “We’re investigating any signs of forces near Leiyin Mountain that night, any abnormal spiritual energy fluctuations, and any recent transactions rted to the ‘Demon Soul’ and ‘Seal’.”

    The woman rubbed the token for a moment, then pulled a crystal ball from a drawer and ced the token on its surface.

    The crystal ball instantly lit up with a blue light, reflecting a line of small characters: “A token personally granted by the owner of the Fifth Heaven Information Tower, with ss A authority, allowing ess to intelligence from the eastern part of the Sixth Heaven within three months.”

    She put away the crystal ball, turned around, pulled out three yellowed volumes from the bookshelf, and ced them in front of the two men: “On the night the Leiyin Bell was stolen, the Information Tower’s spies on the outskirts of Leiyin Mountain recorded three unusual auras.

    The first was the ‘bone-eroding ck air’ from the Sixth Hall of the Divine Pce. The spies discovered traces of ck-robed men on the northern slope of the mountain.

    They seemed to be restraining the patrolling disciples of the Leiyin Temple. The second was the ‘holy pattern divine power’ of the Kingdom of God, which was present in the stream on the south side of the mountain. Remnants of silver divine patterns have been detected, matching the patterns on the Divine Guards’ armor. The third type…”

    The woman paused, her tone growing more serious. “It’s the ‘Corrupted Heart Evil Qi’ of the Evil Dao Hall. In the bushes near the bell pavilion, we found half a talisman with a skull pattern. The talisman is made of the same material as the one used by the Fifth Heaven Evil Dao Hall branch.” Hu Mazi mmed the table, shocking the file holders.

    “Damn it! Haven’t these three bas***s always been at odds? The Divine Kingdom despises the sorcery of the Sixth Hall, and the Divine Temple resents the Dao Hall for stealing their alchemy resources.

    How could they team up to steal the bell?” David didn’t rush to speak, but instead picked up the half-talisman and examined it carefully. A faint trace of evil energy still lingered around the edge of the talisman, identical to the aura he had encountered in the Fifth Heaven Evil Dao Hall branch.

    But even more bizarrely, a faint divine pattern was engraved on the back of the talisman. The pattern was seven-tenths simr to the golden pattern he had seen on the skirt of the Divine Kingdom princess.
