A random pokemon journey
The gap
"So you didn't even think them worth dealing with." Rui said with a slightly bitter expression. "No need to look like that. While it's true I thought little of the group if you two hadn't stepped forward I would have taken an afternoon or two to bury them beneath the sands so really they would have been dealt with either way. Speaking of that group I can't help but notice the distinct lack of shadow corruption on your aura Wes. I take it you've succeeded in purifying all those pokemon then?" I stated more than asked.-
"I did yes. You were actually the reason for this in truth as I was sought out by the Professor Crane, Orre's new professor. He had taken it upon himself to research the shadowfication that was stubbornly clinging to the pokemon even though I had opened the door to their hearts almost entirely. Thanks to what you told us about the nature of shadowfication his research quickly bore fruit and he was able to create a machine that purified the last bit of the shadowfication from all those pokemon as well as myself." he explained and I had to admit I was actually impressed.-
The process by which purification and shadowfication were done was almost entirely aura based so while Cypher recreating one of these aspects with technology was incredible so too was creating the other. "A well earned professor title it seems, that is no base feat." I said with honest praise. "Other than that I can't say I've had too interesting a journey so far, unlike yourself. Met a couple of legendries but never really interacted with them and the few criminals I've come across still quake in terror at the merest mention of your name." he said with a helpless shrug.-
"Boring is good, means the leagues been good about not letting my work go to waste. My journeys been eventful since we last spoke though. Took down another criminal organization, admittedly the most dangerous one to boot as well. Unlike all the others that just make others lives hard Galactic wanted to see the whole world unmade. I don't mean metaphorically either but quite literally. That was the second biggest thing with the first of course being my impending ascension to godhood. Though admittedly there is more to it than that but as I've said before in Orre some knowledge is better left where it lies." I said with a shrug.-
"Is it strange that I am not all that surprised by the fact you are becoming a god?" Wes asked and I shook my head. "Not really. Most of the hype it's been getting and uproar around it is that it defies what so many believe to be a law of reality, gods aren't made but born. You grew up in Orre and left to experience the world in it's true state so you know that there are always higher places."-
"In Orre the mere idea of an elite tier trainer was considered the pinnacle one from there could achieve and yet here you are so very close to champion tier. Don't bother acting surprised that I know. Your bonds with your main party of pokemon gave you away the moment you entered my aura's range." I said with a smile. "And yet you don't seem impressed." Rui said with a bit of frustration. "Quite the contrary, I couldn't be more impressed. I just have trouble feeling anything strongly is all. Besides it doesn't come as much of a surprise as I've long since known about your talent."-
"So long as you don't stay satisfied with just champion tier strength I'd say you have a decent shot at the realm that lies beyond that where my pokemon sit." I said encouragingly. "What's the gap between champion tier and whatever you are at anyways?" Rui asked curiously. "Well if you ignore the trainer entirely and look at only the pokemon themselves champion tier pokemon are the height of what talent alone can achieve. To go further you need either very unique opportunities or an extreme amount of intense training."-
"My pokemon took the former path in addition to their own training. Unfortunately that particular opportunity is closed off to you but there are others you may be able to find with luck and perseverance. In terms of power though the difference is night and day due to a certain thing that happens when a pokemon reaches beyond champion tier." I said seriously. Taking a moment to let that sink in they remained silent in thought. "So much like the difference between you and everyone else then?" Rui eventually asked for clarification. I shook my head and called Tank over as he was the most normal of all my currently over champion tier pokemon.-
"Use your aura to sense Tank here carefully, like I taught you previously. Compare what you find with Doduo here. Then sense me and you'll understand the gap between me and everyone else is a lot bigger than you think." I said while letting my tightly controlled energy flow freely. Rui's face paled by several magnitudes at just this alone as she couldn't tear her eyes away from me, or rather my energy that flowed through me. I brought it back under control and both she and Wes took breaths that they hadn't even realized they hadn't done.-
"I-I don't understand, how? I've seen the aura of even legendries but nothing comes close to yours. It was like standing in the eye of a storm. Even your pokemon that burns like a brilliant fire is dwarfed by your mere presence." Rui said in shock. "That's the gap between me and everyone else on the planet. Once I become a god only the others will be comparable." I said frankly. "Rocket never had a chance did they?" she asked and I nodded. "The moment I decided they were going to perish their fate was sealed." I said before pausing as I finally realized what the final piece of the puzzle to my divinity conversion was.
