A second chance with my billionaire husband
Chapter 37 - 034 Breeding Evil
CHAPTER 37: 034 BREEDING EVIL
The next morning, Yun Shen stood neatly dressed in the living room and said to Uncle Feng, who was standing by, "Send someone upstairs to call her down."
Just as Uncle Feng was about to go, a scream came from Aunt Yun upstairs, startling clear in the quiet villa early in the morning.
"Young Master, Young Master, it’s not good, the madam has fainted."
Yun Shen’s brow furrowed, and the next moment he took long strides towards the stairs.
While walking, he ordered, "Go and get Dr. Lin here quickly."
In the bedroom, Yun Shu lay on the bed with a pale face, appearing very weak.
Yun Shen stood in front of the bed with his lips pressed tightly together.
Aunt Yun wiped away tears and said, "The madam was fine earlier, she even got up in the middle of the night, but this morning when she got up, her complexion wasn’t right. Who knew she would suddenly faint? My poor madam, you must not have anything happen to you..."
Yun Shen, irritated by what he heard, spoke coldly, "Mom won’t have anything happen to her. Let’s wait for the doctor to come."
Aunt Yun’s eyes flickered, and she looked down without speaking.
Just then, Kang Jinse rushed into the room, crying as she fell beside the bed, "Aunt Yun, what’s wrong with you? How could you faint all of a sudden? It’s all my fault, I shouldn’t have come back at this time, causing you and your son to be angry with each other. It’s all my fault, I will leave now..."
She stood to leave, but someone grasped her wrist.
Yun Shu opened her eyes, and despite her pale complexion, her tone was undeniable, "You are carrying the Yun Family’s precious grandchild in your womb. No matter who leaves, you cannot."
Kang Jinse cried, "Aunt Yun, I know you mean well, but I really don’t want you and Brother Shen to fall out because of me. This child, we cannot keep."
Yun Shen’s gaze fell on Kang Jinse, cold and piercing.
Kang Jinse suddenly shivered but didn’t have the courage to look at him.
She knew this was a risky move that could lead to Yun Shen’s complete disdain, but without taking this risk, she would have no chance at all. She had to try, no matter what.
Yun Shu coughed, holding Kang Jinse’s hand and turning to look at Yun Shen, "Shenshen, at your age, it’s time to have a child. Otherwise, who will inherit such a big family business? Yun Miao? That child is a blot on your life, I will never allow him to be your heir."
Yun Shen looked deeply at his mother, "Mom, I know what to do, but please stop interfering in my matters, can you?"
Yun Shu’s face stiffened, "Shenshen, Mom has never asked you for anything. This time, just listen to Mom. Keep this child; after all, he is your own flesh and blood." She finished with a violent cough, as if coughing out her lungs, a terrifying sound, the face before them pale as a ghost.
"Shenshen, just listen to Mom once. If you don’t like this child, then Mom will raise him. When you have a woman you like in the future, Mom will send him away, never to appear before you again."
Kang Jinse turned pale, bit her lip, and bowed her head in silence.
Yun Shen sighed helplessly, "Mom, what’s the point of this?"
"Just tell Mom, do you really want to keep this child or not. If you don’t agree to keep him, then fine, Mom will pack up and go back to her hometown right now. You’ve grown up and don’t listen to Mom anymore, so what’s the point of staying here?"
A glaring threat.
Yun Shen’s eyes fell on Kang Jinse, the profound darkness in them causing her to subconsciously tense up, her head hanging low, not daring to look directly.
"I promise you, I’ll keep this child."
Yun Shu’s eyes brightened with joy, knowing her Shenshen was the most filial.
——
"Tch, that wretched woman, she still managed to stay, and even got pregnant. If Miss knew, how sad would she be?" Ji Die complained bitterly early in the morning.
Yun Ya gave a light laugh, it was as expected.
Yun Shen really was a dutiful son, a slight threat from Yun Shu and he agreed, no matter how firm he had been before.
But the real drama was yet to come.
Ji Lanyi, oh Ji Lanyi, no matter how proud you were for a lifetime, in the end, what was your fate? Yun Ya thought sarcastically, everything was retribution.
She hated Ji Lanyi, wished she would die outside, hated the entire Yun Family, wished none of them would have a good end. Since her rebirth, she had managed to suppress her emotions very well, but that hatred would still sometimes surge out, affecting her mood.
She did not want to frighten Miaomiao and thus turned and ran into the bathroom.
A faint noise came from the bathroom windowsill. Yun Ya walked over and saw an injured sparrow lying there. Its leg was wounded, bleeding profusely—likely the work of some naughty child with a slingshot. There it lay, a small, frail bundle, crying weakly, oh how pitiful.
Yun Ya walked over and picked it up. The little sparrow stared at her with its round, black eyes, in which Yun Ya saw a glimmer of pleading and dependence. It nuzzled its small head against the warmth of Yun Ya’s palm, very docile.
"Are you hurt? Shall I bandage you up, alright?" Yun Ya teased, stroking the little sparrow’s head and walked outside holding it.
Just then, the sparrow suddenly cried out several times. Yun Ya lowered her eyes to see it suddenly pecking at the palm of her hand. Yun Ya winced in pain and inadvertently loosened her grip, causing the sparrow to fall to the ground.
Yun Ya’s palm turned red; she frowned at the struggling sparrow on the ground. The fall had aggravated its injuries; it could no longer stand up.
"Why? Why did you bite me when I was going to save you?" Yun Ya felt a sense of betrayal mixed with anger. She had intended to be kind and help it, but it had bitten her in return, which was an unpleasant feeling.
The little sparrow lay on the ground, a tender pile of utter misery.
This scene reminded Yun Ya of her past life when that woman deceived everyone with such a soft, pitiable facade. So, she was abandoned without a second thought. No, from the moment she was born, was she not fated to be abandoned?
The world is so cold and dark. Why should she save anything at all? Let it sink in darkness and pain. Is that not much better?
Yun Ya crouched down, picked up the sparrow, its watery black eyes looking up at Yun Ya, so pitifully.
Yun Ya smiled gently, raised her hand, and softly stroked its feathers. The little sparrow seemed to be calmed by her kindness and gradually settled down.
Suddenly, Yun Ya reached out and squeezed its neck. The sparrow cried out in pain, its voice hoarse and desperate, its legs flailing about.
Yun Ya’s gaze grew deeper as she watched the fear in its eyes. She curved her lips slightly.
Fear breeds sin.
Human nature is such that it’s either your death or my survival.
Watching the tiny creature slowly close its eyes under her grasp, as its legs stopped struggling, an unexpected thrill arose in her. It seemed that tormenting another’s life gave her an unprecedented excitement.
With a release of her hand, the sparrow fell into the toilet and was flushed away with the water. She watched quietly, then suddenly ran to the sink, turned on the faucet, and began to scrub her fingers fiercely, as if she wanted to scrub the skin until it bled, peeling off a layer.
So dirty, so disgusting.
She began to vomit, until her stomach was empty. She lay on the ground, crying and laughing.
She had finally become the type of person she despised the most, yet she felt no urge to change.
Looking at the person in the mirror, as pale as paper but possessing the most beautiful face in the world, she brushed her white, delicate skin finger by finger, gently caressing it. The black eyes gradually turned into a whirlpool, seemingly deep enough to suck in one’s soul, bringing about a fantastically exquisite illusion.
She lightly lifted the corners of her mouth, and the person in the mirror did the same.
That smile, gentle yet cruel.
Outside the door, Ji Die grew worried when Yun Ya had been inside for so long and knocked on the door, "Miss, what’s wrong?"
Not long after, the door opened from the inside.
Yun Ya stood in the shadows, and for a moment, the somber aura around her startled Ji Die. Ji Die, calming her racing heart, looked at Yun Ya with uncertainty.
Yun Ya walked out with a sweet and graceful smile.
"Aunt Die, I’ve simply been in the restroom a little longer than usual. Can we not make such a fuss every time?"
It must have been an illusion, Ji Die reassured herself internally.
