CHAPTER 491: THE NEW SEED SUPPLIER

The God of Farming seems to be keen on her idea. Not only does it helps out on his ultimate goal, it also helps out to slowly get the people used to his new seeds and with Elaina being the one who will decide whether the crop is a failure or not, can keep track on which seeds would be good to be spread out to the public.

Thanks to this idea, the God Of Farming feel generous and handed Elaina a small machine that will aid Elaina on this new venture.

"What is this?" Elaina frowned looking at the newly delivered machine that she got. She placed it next to the Catalogue Book. Its a peculiar machine that she has no idea what the main usage is.

"[That is the Seed Maker. It is a specific tool that I use for creating seeds in quick batches without wasting my power. You can say that this machine can create a bag of seeds using one single produce.]"

"What? It can produce seeds?"

"[Indeed. However, just to be sure, any seeds that comes out from this seed maker is an inferior version of what is being sold in the Catalogue Book. It lacks the same growth and produce rate that those seeds purchased on the book and follows the regular growth rate and produce rate of the regular plants. If you are not sure about the new ones, I already put an update on the Almanac for you to have a reference once you start selling the seeds."

"So compared to the ones in the Catalogue, these ones will be regular seeds. And they will have no accelerated growth like the seeds I plant. Good to know. I don’t want the other farmers to think I added some sort of sorcery to the seeds for it to be so quick to be harvested compared to the seeds they usually plant. But let me clarify, you meant every single crop that can be converted to seeds? Does that includes fruits, flowers and more?" Elaina asked for clarification.

"[Correct. But you can only place one crop one at a time and you needed to wait for a few moments to receive the seeds. Once done, the produce you put will be converted to seeds and disappear forever.]"

"Pretty straightforward. I think I can start right away."

"[Good luck Elaina. If you succeed in this venture, I will be giving you another reward or perhaps a shortcut process in unlocking your locked almanac pages. Your choice.]"

Hearing this, Elaina felt more motivated to begin with the new venture of business. Of course, before she can begin, she needed to ask for the Market president for permission to take over the selling rights of seeds s they hold the rights on doing so. She can’t just open up shop and let the market’s seeds rot after opening her own business.

Elaina grab one eggplant from the fridge that she was saving to cook but it is an exception this time. Dropping the eggplant to the machine, the machine began to chug out some mechanical noises before it spits out a packet containing the Eggplant seeds. The eggplant itself is gone without leaving any traces like juices or peeling on the machine. It was strikingly clean.

"If someone other than me saw me use this, they will surely blame me for doing some unquestionable activities. But now that this is fully tested, its time to start the next steps."

And so, that day after work, Elaina went to create variety of seeds to be sold for cheap later. She basically have no capital on this and would earn more money just by selling it to the farmers. Not only is it cheap for the farmers struggling to buy regular price seeds, but they will have variety of seeds to choose from with all cheap prices, their wallets won’t become a barren wasteland after buying lots and they can begin once more. Since winter is about to start soon, Elaina made sure to have the winter crop seeds in full stock while the other seasonal seeds for those who have greenhouses are also available as well.

With that secured, Elaina went to her business. Like usual, the work is pretty much regular for them and although it wasn’t much work, unlike the time when her parents died and it was run by incompetent people, their enthusiasm is much better nowadays.

Rakkunzansa is the first to see Elaina as he was currently reviewing the papers of the recent orders processed.

"Boss, you decided to visit. As you can see, the workplace remains great and although we only have a small workforce, the work is efficient and the deliveries are being delivered in advanced or in time. Customer satisfaction has been rising steadily as well," Rakkunzansa quickly summarized.

"That’s good to know and it is fortunate that the everyone is not having any bad troubles nowadays," Elaina nodded.

"There are some minor troubles here and there but they are easily resolved and some are just not that much of a problem to begin with. So far, nothing serious, though after the recent plague that attacked the farmers, the supplies being delivered is much smaller or lacking. We can still comply and get the orders fully done, but we fear that the orders will soon quickly run out of supply with how some orders nowadays seems to be in bulk. The orders from that certain prince via his secretary is one of those types."

"We can’t help with that considering the problem, it was not on our control. However, I do have something to discuss some things to you, Randolph and Mei. Once they are no longer busy, gather in my office."

...

...

...

A few minutes after Elaina order Rakkunzansa to gather with the other two employees that she trusted the most to run the business, the three arrived, nervous on what Elaina is going to discuss. They pray Elaina will not fire them for the current problems though Elaina’s agenda is farthee from what they are imagining.

"Good to know that you lot are gathered here. I have to announce that we will need to expand the crew soon. You guys have done a good job but we will needed further need of efficient workers. The reason I called you here is to find people that you guys can vouch to be trustworthy people and let them work here. And if you have a friend, relative or anyone who knows how to do basic agriculture but also have basic knowledge in running stores, I want to hire them to also work here. Having those two traits check but if unlucky, I only needed the one who has the first trait."

"Basic agriculture? But why? Our main business is delivery, buying and selling products to other kingdoms and traders. We barely needed basic agriculture in this business at the moment?" Mei tilted her head.

"Good question, Mei. The answer to that is because I plan to open an extra store that is going to sell seeds for various plants. Crops, fruit trees, flowers and other stuff related to greenery. It doesn’t matter if they don’t have no basic knowledge in business management, we can just teach them. The knowledge of basic agriculture is necessary though so I hope you three can hire someone."

"Does it matter what race they are?" Rakkunzansa asked.

"No. I accept any race to work here as long as they are competent. Both Mei and Randolph has no problem on this."

Hearing this, Rakkunzansa nodded. "Looks like I have found the person you are looking for."
