A Single Mother's Farm of the Gods
Chapter 493: Harvest Time in the Dungeon
CHAPTER 493: HARVEST TIME IN THE DUNGEON
Since the explanation was easy to understand, the other two seem to have understood what Elaina wanted to happen, or so Elaina currently thinks. As for Mei, she fully agrees on this tactic and thinks that it is a good way to salvage the low supply situation and fully reach the red.
After their discussion, Elaina allowed the three to go home early since fewer orders were coming in after the problems that came with the plague. However, the three declined and wanted to continue working normally despite the small orders this time around. They would rather have their work done as soon as possible instead of shelving it for another day. Elaina decided that if they wanted to work even after letting them go home, she would put it as part of their overtime, and they would be paid extra, which made the three happier. Elaina has no qualms about doing this, as the three are doing marvelous work.
Elaina went home that day to continue working on getting the seed bundles ready. It is necessary to have lots of seeds in case they immediately run out of them, and she can’t afford to run out of them as soon as possible. And to do that, she needed to harvest crops in the dungeon.
Grabbing her tools and her dimensional backpack with her, she headed to the dungeon and visited her farmland, which she barely visited these past few months due to how busy she is on her main farm.

Arriving at the entrance of the Labyrinth inside the dungeon, the guards nodded at Elaina and allowed her entry. Adventurers keep walking back and forth nowadays, and that is due to how far the adventurers have been paving their way deeper into the labyrinth. Elaina even wonders what happened to those adventurers who asked to buy her medicinal herbs. It’s been a while since the last time she heard of them.
Despite her questions, Elaina decided to just head over to the farmland and tend over on her plants.
Thanks to the eternal season of each plot of land, the crops growing there remain fresh and alive without any signs of wilting after a season change. What’s more intriguing is that even though Elaina has not taken care of the dungeon farm for quite some time, the crops that she has not harvested for quite some time did not turn overripe and rot in the process. Each and every one of them remained fresh and ready to harvest, and even Elaina was surprised by this. She even thought that there would be a few crops that would have died long ago, or she would see various rotten crops that would have ended up becoming fertilizer to the soil, but it did not happen.
"Looks like this farmland is more than what I thought it would be, God of Farming. This isn’t just a plot of land that has its own season; it also has the ability to keep the crops growing in it fresh for harvest without even rotting like normal because it wasn’t harvested on time."
"[And you wouldn’t discover this if you continue to take care of this place. But I can’t blame you since the main farm is already quite hard to maintain, as it is big and you planted a lot. Even with helpers, you lot take almost the entire day just to finish everything. And thanks to this discovery, I think I have gotten a new idea on a crop that specifically grows in places like this, or in normal farmers, a greenhouse. Seeing how the crops continue to produce fruit while retaining the old ones still hanging on their stems and leaves, my creativity is tingling. Alright, off to do another set of work.]"
Elaina can only shake in disbelief as the God of Farming ditches the observation of the dungeon farm’s new function. With him going to work, Elaina doubts the guy would be back anytime soon, so she decided to get to work before time goes on. Unlike in the mines, time moves normally in the entrance of the Labyrinth. Time does not slow or stop.
The first crops that Elaina harvested were the crops growing in the winter plot of land.
She has planted lots of turnips and beets over there with some kale, cabbage, and even carrots. These crops are the most common seeds that farmers would likely buy, as Elaina noticed during winter that these crops are the most common in the market. Not only are they cheap, but they are also quite easy and fast to grow.
Then there are the peas. The peas normally have a regular amount of fruits underneath one plant, but since the peas are planted on the dungeon farm and are one of the vegetables that Elaina left behind to grow naturally, they ended up growing more than the regular amount. The peas hanging on one plant was so much that Elaina was shocked before composing herself to ensure the others won’t notice her reaction and think she is weird.
"Wow, just looking at these amount of peas, if they saw it themselves, they might think that this one is a hybrid of some sort."
The peas hanging on the plant itself is quite a lot to the point that each fruit of the peas are right next to each other, cramped ans seems to be stuck with one another. She even counted around a dozen peas hanging in one single branch.
As a result the harvest process was so bountiful. Like a loot after one dives through a dungeon and claim every treasure and drops one can pick up there, Elaina brought a lot of the harvests from the Winter Plot of land.
"If it took me this long just to finish the harvest process, looks like I gave to dedicate a bit more time to harvest everything else."
Elaina cracks her knuckles and smiled before approaching the crops thst are ready for harvest.

"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. My boss needed someone who knows a lot of knowledge and capability in agriculture," Rakkunzansa nodded.
"Are you even so sure she will accept me as employee? Have you even told her about my species? I might have wasted energy instead if I do this and end up veing rejected."
Rakkunzansa shook his head and stopped her from doing something.
"Don’t worry, the boss is someone who accepts anyone. And she does not care about it. As long as you can do your work, then it doesn’t matter and you will remain working in the end like a regular human or presence. You will be in for a surprise tomorrow."
