Chapter 46: Spanking The Baron

The rest of the day went by in peace. James and Sera had already found a new place to settle and were busy shifting their wooden boxes, while Leo and Lily went shopping — buying new clothes and getting their tools and armour repaired and polished.

"Sustaining a girl is real trouble..." Leo muttered, staring at his now lighter coin pouch.

"Hm? Did you say something?" Lily turned, blinking at him.

"N-no, not at all."

She smiled brightly and continued walking ahead, clearly treating the whole outing like a date.

While eating lunch at a tavern, Lily suddenly asked,

"Leo, did you sell all the Treants?"

Leo looked up. "No. I can’t reveal that I can store things inside my spiritual space — not until this Baron’s disappearance is resolved. They haven’t even announced he’s gone missing yet. Since no one’s come knocking at the restaurant, Zerek must’ve gone there without telling anyone. If I show I can make things disappear, I’ll become the prime suspect — especially now that I’m a Knight Commander."

Lily’s smile widened. "Then give me the Treant cores."

"You’re going to form a contract with them? That’s perfect! I totally forgot you could use them. Just a moment."

She should really have a beast with healing abilities, with that i can relax when she is not near me.

Leo sent a mental command to Niri and Shyra to extract all the Treant cores and bring them together. It was done quickly — though, as expected, the two couldn’t resist snacking on one of the High 2-Star cores. Not that it mattered much.

Now Leo had:

9 Mid 1-Star Cores

7 High 1-Star Cores

6 Peak 1-Star Cores

14 Low 2-Star Cores

5 High 2-Star Cores

Most of these were killed by the Mistprowler Tiger single-handedly.

Heh, poor bastard.

He noticed that most bloodlines were ordinary or mortal, but two of the cores shone with Super Bloodline.

He handed one to Lily. "Here. Use you Talent"

They moved into a narrow alley where no one would notice them. Lily followed his instructions. As before, the beast core dissolved into glittering motes — but this time, the light was a vivid green. Slowly, the energy gathered and shaped into a translucent form — a Cedar Treant, standing nearly three meters tall.

Its bark-like hide gleamed like ironwood streaked with red sap. Wide branch-arms radiated power, and scattered leaves crowned its rugged form. Its "face" was marked by two marble-like red dots, connected by glowing veins that pulsed with life.

Lily formed a contract, and mana surged through her body.Leo activated [Beastiary of Souls], fusing all High and Low 2-Star cores, then the Peak and Mid 1-Stars — leaving the High 1-Stars aside for now.

Even though Lily knew about his ability, she still looked amazed as her strength rose every passing second.

The Treant trembled as power flooded through it:

Its translucent body took a shade of white--which shone brightly, illuminating the surroundings. Its body started growing in size, from the frame itself, one could see that its arm girth was expanding, height reaching nearly 6 meters, and its presence was becoming suffocating.

Soon, the string of notifications started to flash in front of Leo’s eyes.

Damn... I’ll never get used to how fast she powers up. Wait—doesn’t this mean she’s basically Baron rank now with theTreant?

"Lily," Leo said seriously, "don’t reveal this Treant yet. Keep it as your secret weapon."

Lily nodded, then asked with a curious tilt,

"But how will I know my rank now?... I feel much powerful than before." She cutely flexed her biceps and then mischievously looked at Leo.

"Hm? What’s with that look? Just so you know, your strength now equals a Baron’s."

But Lily wasn’t listening anymore. Mischief sparkled in her eyes as she lunged forward.

"Now you’re not going anywhere!" she laughed, reaching to grab him.

Pa!

"Kyaa—!" she yelped.

Leo had caught her by the waist like a kitten and landed a firm spank on her butt with his other hand.

Her face turned crimson as she wriggled in his hold.

"You think you can subdue me?" Leo smirked, eyes gleaming.

Pa! Pa! Pa!

"You can’t — not even in bed! Hahaha!"

"W-wait! I’m sorry! Let me gooo!" she squealed, her voice muffled between pain and embarrassment.

Leo didn’t stop there. Still holding her by the waist, he kept walking toward the main road, delivering another playful pa! along the way. But they were strong enough to make tears form in the corner of her eyes.

"Stop! People will see!" Lily yelped, her face turning as red as her hair.

"That’s what makes it fun!" Leo laughed, completely unbothered, his grin stretching ear to ear. Each time she struggled, she earned another sharp pat that made her flail even more.

She tried to resist, but could only catch his thighs, and even that didn’t faze him.

He slapped once more, making her fleshy ass wiggle. Before it could be still, he slapped again.

He clearly enjoyed listening her frightened yelp.
