Abyss Dominator System
Chapter 465 - 456: Virus Outbreaks Everywhere!
CHAPTER 465: CHAPTER 456: VIRUS OUTBREAKS EVERYWHERE!
"Roar~!"
A zombie dog rapidly pounced from the doorway, its flesh already shed, exposing the blood-red forelimbs and sharp claws, viciously grabbing at a white-clothed warrior standing close by, knocking him to the ground and starting to gnaw at him voraciously.
"Ssshhh~!"
The sound of flesh being torn apart rang out as the zombie dog voraciously devoured its tasty meal.
"Roar~!"
"Roar~!"
One after another, monsters leaped out of the metal gates, pouring out like a tidal wave, throwing themselves at the Umbrella Company research personnel.
"Oh God! What on earth did we do?"
Everyone cried out in despair, their hands trembling as they held guns, voices filled with terror.
"Ratatat~!"
Gunfire erupted.
However, these creatures infected by the T-virus have become powerful enough to be unaffected by firearms. Just a few researchers from the Umbrella Company couldn’t possibly stop their spread and surge.
They have released a massive number of infected beings!
A horde of zombie creatures rushed up through the channels, swarming over the villa and then onto the streets of Raccoon City.
The fresh scent of living humans stimulated them, making each monster even more excited and fierce, voraciously devouring any living creature they could!
"Ahhh~!"
Harsh screams exploded in the early morning of Raccoon City, with the Hive as the center, the infected beings spreading in madness.
Meanwhile, at the entrance to the underground Hive.
A row of figures appeared out of thin air from the atmosphere.
It was Zhang Kailei and dozens of Demon Warriors who had arrived by cloaking themselves.
"Help me~!!"
The white-clothed warriors, pinned to the ground by zombie dogs and zombies, shouted loudly upon seeing Zhang Kailei and the others appear. Many had their throats bitten through and couldn’t cry out for help, only able to emit "gurgling" noises as their mouths oozed with fresh blood and clots.
But their eyes still held a strong desire to survive.
"Find the Red Queen’s mainboard and controller, send a few people in to clear the threats within the Hive’s channels..."
Zhang Kailei did not avert his gaze; his boots stepped over pools of blood, and he stooped to search for what he needed around the bodies of the white-clothed warriors.
"Logically, they should have carried the Red Queen’s mainboard and controller..."
Zhang Kailei muttered to himself, finding a USB thumb drive beside a white-clothed warrior, opening his laptop, connecting it, and checking the data.
According to the original plot, these people should have come to restart the Red Queen, so they must have brought the mainboard!
Because the Hive’s Red Queen’s first mainboard was taken away by a member of the S.T.A.R.S. (Raccoon City Special Tactics And Rescue Service) several months ago, the Red Queen inside the Hive underground structure was currently in a shutdown state.
"Roar~!"
A zombie dog growled, its maw dripping with pus and blood as it lunged at Zhang Kailei.
"Ratatat~!"
A Demon Warrior raised his hand, a burst of bullets precisely hitting the zombie dog’s head, causing it to fall to the ground with a thud.
"Hmm..."
Zhang Kailei frowned, glanced back at the zombie dog that had fallen behind him, and murmured softly, "The virus infection time was too short, both speed and strength are too weak... Far from the combat targets required by the master."
The Demon Warriors looked impassive, standing still. With a few bursts of fire, they eliminated the remaining zombies lying in front of the metal gate, gnawing on human flesh.
"Someone come to the Hive!"
Zhang Kailei stood up since he had found the Red Queen’s mainboard, a metallic-lustered cuboid etched with the Umbrella Company’s logo.
"Yes, Captain!"
The Demon Warriors saluted and lowered their night-vision goggles, each entering the Hive at a brisk pace.
There were still quite a few zombie creatures left in the Hive, but in front of these Demon Warriors, they posed no threat at all.
It could be said that even the lowest-level Demon Warrior had the strength of Alice, the female protagonist from Resident Evil 2, so these zombie creatures were simply no match.
"Ratatat~!"
Gunfire sounded, growing distant, as the Demon Warriors cleared them out swiftly.
"Asian... please, save me!"
Zhang Kailei was about to step into the Hive when a White-clothed Warrior with a breath of life left in him grabbed his trouser leg. His breathing was very faint, his chest had a large hole torn open, his intestines were pulled out, and blood was spilled all around.
It was clear that even if he didn’t die, he couldn’t escape being infected.
"What is your identity?"
Zhang Kailei squatted down and asked softly.
"I am... a senior employee of Umbrella Company, a researcher in the technology department..."
This White-clothed Warrior said with difficulty.
"Technology talent?"
Zhang Kailei raised his eyebrows, somewhat surprised, this was what he learned from Bai Yan.
The resources needed by the master also included high-end technology talent.
"You are quite lucky."
Zhang Kailei smiled, took out a vial of Life Juice from his pocket, inserted it into the White-clothed Warrior’s neck, and injected it.
"I was just planning to do some experiments, and whether Life Juice can treat the T-virus is also within the scope of my experiment. If you are lucky and survive, you can sign our contract, and become my experimental assistant."
Zhang Kailei spoke indifferently, using brain waves he ordered several Demon Warriors to come out from the metal gate to rescue and take care of these White-clothed Warriors.
If all goes well, these are all high-tech talents from Umbrella Company, a scarce resource on Demon Island.
These individuals are indispensable for future scientific research and for assimilating the technological achievements of the Biochemical Plane.
Zhang Kailei strode into the darkness of the metal gate; he was now heading to the Red Queen’s mainframe location in the Hive.
...
Meanwhile, on the streets of Raccoon City above ground, chaos had already taken hold.
Panic was beginning to spread throughout the city. Monsters biting people were running wild in the city. People inside the coffee shop where Bai Yan was situated received the news; some were curious and went to the scene to look, while others hurried home in haste.
Only Bai Yan continued to taste his coffee calmly.
"Ding, ding, ding, ding~!"
The piercing siren sounded, traffic at the intersection of the streets began to congest, many police cars from Raccoon City appeared, trying hard to maintain order, shouting loudly and guiding the public in an orderly fashion towards the direction out of the city.
On the other side, high walls had been erected, and numerous Umbrella soldiers appeared, orderly protecting the evacuation of city officials, wealthy people, and high-tech talents within the high walls.
"Master, we have located the car accident scene, and the target has been controlled by us."
Bai Yan received a signal from a Demon Warrior in his mind.
"Retreat immediately, we’re leaving Raccoon City."
Bai Yan issued an order, then walked out smilingly.
Different from the panicked crowd, Bai Yan’s steps were very relaxed, carrying a light and cheerful air.
"Hey! Asian, run faster! It’s an emergency now, hurry out of the city!"
A black police officer yelled at Bai Yan. Without waiting for Bai Yan to respond, he turned his head and continued scolding the civilians around him.
There were too many people; many’s first reaction was to go home to find their families.
The police forces were limited and simply overwhelmed.
Helicopters flew over the sky; they were the armed forces of Umbrella Company, patrolling Raccoon City.
Bai Yan squinted his eyes and looked up at the tall city wall that appeared on the horizon.
"Master."
Several Demon Warriors disguised as civilians quickly came out from the crowd and approached Bai Yan.
One of the warriors was holding a delicate and cute little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes in his arms.
"Where are you taking me?"
The little girl looked fearfully and confusedly at these people; they were all foreigners and strangers to her.
Bai Yan took the little girl from the arms of the Demon Warrior, set her on the ground, and held her hand with a smile, "Would you like me to take you to find your daddy? Can you tell me your name?"
"My name is Angela, Angela Ashford."
The little girl looked at Bai Yan’s gentle smile and relaxed a bit, "Can you really take me to find my daddy?"
"Yes, we absolutely can!"
Bai Yan’s smile became even gentler, beaming with happiness.
