Chapter 339 - 99: Devour
CHAPTER 339: CHAPTER 99: DEVOUR
The Four-winged Peng Bird was both startled and furious, its tentacles flailing wildly, trying to pull out the axe blade embedded in its body, but the closest tentacle to the location had already been torn off by Yan Luo, and had not grown back yet.
The axe blade was lodged in the chest of the Four-winged Peng Bird, unable to be removed.
In a fit of rage, the Four-winged Peng Bird looked at Yan Luo, only to see him install a new axe blade onto his weapon.
With a roar, the Four-winged Peng Bird spread its wings, skimming the ground as it flew toward Yan Luo.
Yan Luo adjusted the filters on his goggles, drew a tactical tool from the exoskeleton pocket, and threw it.
The flashbang set to explode immediately emitted a strong light, piercing into the eyes of the Four-winged Peng Bird.
Though it was only a moment, the Four-winged Peng Bird was suddenly blind.
Its vision plunged into darkness, causing a sudden panic within the Four-winged Peng Bird.
What’s happening? Why can’t I see anything?
Panic and fear surged into its heart.
Intelligent beings often think more than beasts, and creatures like the Four-winged Peng Bird, which possess intelligence but aren’t particularly bright, can frighten themselves with a moment of blindness.
In the darkness, the Four-winged Peng Bird heard the explosion sound of Yan Luo leaping from the ground, knowing the sound came from the front.
But because it was blind, it couldn’t quickly think of a good way to face Yan Luo’s next attack.
In just a few seconds, the Four-winged Peng Bird regained its sight, momentarily stunned.
All in all, these three seconds were enough for Yan Luo to leap from the ground, then swing the molten axe, chopping towards the Four-winged Peng Bird’s head!
"Slash!!"
The roar descended from above, and the Four-winged Peng Bird didn’t have time to dodge.
The molten axe instantly split the head and skull of the Four-winged Peng Bird, the overwhelming force of Yan Luo pressing the skimming Four-winged Peng Bird’s head to the ground, causing it to plow a deep furrow with its head on the surface!
This heavy blow caused the Four-winged Peng Bird to suffer a concussion, but fortunately, it was a City-breaking Level Demon, with formidable recovery capabilities.
In only two seconds, the Four-winged Peng Bird recovered, furiously raising its head, and its tentacles whipped out to strike Yan Luo off its head.
The tentacles struck Yan Luo, actually knocking him away!
Fortunately, before being knocked away, Yan Luo slapped the axe’s backside with his palm, detaching the newly installed blade.
The scorching axe blade remained in the Four-winged Peng Bird’s head, continuously burning its brain.
The pain drove the Four-winged Peng Bird mad, as it roared, growing several tentacles from its forehead, which ignored the high temperature and inserted into its own head, pulling out the axe blade.
Not only from the head, more and more tentacles grew from the Four-winged Peng Bird’s body, transforming this Master of the Abyss into a tentacle monster.
Observing this scene, Yan Luo found it somewhat familiar.
A moment later, he recalled — wasn’t this the ’Evil God’ he had seen in that memory?
Though it only looked a little like it now, who could say if this Master of the Abyss might really transform into an Evil God next?
Yan Luo knew that if this Master of the Abyss could become an Evil God, then he wouldn’t stand a chance at all.
Therefore—
Yan Luo quietly installed a new axe blade onto the molten axe, glaring furiously, and released all six Strong Magnetic Flying Boards from his back.
[Thief... die!]
As the Four-winged Peng Bird’s spirit descended into chaos, Yan Luo drove the magnetic field forces and Strong Magnetic Flying Boards, stepping forward with a thunderous advance.
"Hah—!"
The molten axe struck heavily onto the Four-winged Peng Bird, tentacles entwining from all directions, Yan Luo with a grim expression let the Strong Magnetic Flying Boards propel his body, swiftly ascending.
Yan Luo flew past the surface of the Four-winged Peng Bird with the molten axe, dodging the tentacles spreading over, leaving one deep, long wound that was almost dividing its upper body in half.
But after the body underwent a transformation, the Four-winged Peng Bird’s recovery ability suddenly enhanced, the wound visibly sprouting tissue buds, attempting to heal.
Yet how could Yan Luo allow it to fulfill its wish?
Ascending into the sky, Yan Luo once again descended, the geostatic force attracting his body, the thrust from the Strong Magnetic Flying Boards combining at this moment, unleashing a supreme power.
The molten axe sliced into the Four-winged Peng Bird’s body along the wound, all six powerful magnetic fields added onto Yan Luo, the six Strong Magnetic Flying Boards overclocking concurrently, granting Yan Luo additional force.
Then, like a hot knife through butter, the molten axe fully split the Four-winged Peng Bird’s body from head to tail in half!
Even so, the Four-winged Peng Bird still did not die.
After its body underwent transformation, its life force became increasingly terrifying. Even when its body was split in two, the Four-winged Peng Bird did not die and was even full of vitality.
You could see new flesh squirming and quivering at the severed ends, as if each half were trying to regrow the other half of its body!
Yan Luo threw all the tactical gear he had on him: flash bombs, shock bombs, and even high-explosive bombs and white phosphorus bombs, all thrown onto the two halves of the Four-winged Peng Bird’s body.
Once these bombs detonated, flesh and blood flew everywhere, blasting the two halves of the Four-winged Peng Bird into a pulp.
The blood that splattered out wriggled its way back towards the main body, which also grew additional tentacles, severing the parts tainted with white phosphorus.
Still not dead!?
Yan Luo’s eyes widened.
Do we really need a nuclear bomb to completely kill this monster?
Holding the thermal ax, Yan Luo looked up at the sky and noticed that several Hunters’ silhouettes had disappeared.
As long as the Master of the Abyss isn’t dead, the demons it gathered won’t disperse.
With this thought in mind, Yan Luo put away the thermal ax, took out some magic amplification gem powder, and poured a gram’s worth directly into his mouth.
Then, he resolutely stepped towards the Master of the Abyss.
At that moment, the Master of the Abyss seemed to still sense Yan Luo’s position and immediately shot out two tentacles to attack him.
With an expressionless face, Yan Luo grabbed the tentacles, mustering strength in his arms to tear them off from the Master of the Abyss’s remaining body.
"Let’s see whose digestive system is stronger, mine or your life force!"
With that said, Yan Luo stuffed the pitch-black tentacles into his mouth.
He wolfed down the flesh like a ravenous Taotie, devouring it with an insatiable appetite, struggling to find words to aptly describe his current state.
Yan Luo continued to eat the body of the Master of the Abyss, bite after bite, gradually devouring it whole.
His stomach seemed like a bottomless pit, incapable of being filled no matter how much flesh he consumed.
The Hunters battling flying demons in the sky suddenly felt much lighter and realized that the demons were beginning to disperse.
Seeing this, the previously exhausted Hunters suddenly felt reinvigorated.
Did Yan Luo kill the Master of the Abyss?
Turning to look, they were shocked to see Yan Luo standing beside a mass of indistinguishable flesh and blood, ravenously devouring it.
Seeing the meat mountain, the Hunters felt a sense of disorientation, but they paid no heed, assuming that it was due to battle fatigue.
While Yan Luo devoured, the Master of the Abyss continued to grow. To counteract his devouring, it was forced to abandon extra organs, transforming into nothing but a pile of flesh.
Unfortunately, the more it abandoned, the worse the situation grew.
Abandoning organs, limbs, instincts, and even all wisdom, it became a mass that only knew how to grow, unable to do anything else.
To the Abyss, the Master of the Abyss was already dead.
No matter how strong its life signs were, as long as there was enough magic power, the body could keep growing.
However, the Abyss had no use for a Master of the Abyss less than a mere echinoderm.
Thus, the Master of the Abyss was dead.
Yan Luo was mindlessly devouring the meat pile. As he continued, he noticed the meat mountain gradually shriveling, rapidly dying.
In every sense, the Forbidden Demon Abyss’s Master of the Abyss had met its end.
Wiping his mouth, Yan Luo felt mixed emotions.
Both a sense of loss and relief.
The death of the Master of the Abyss meant the collapse of the Forbidden Demon Abyss, which was joyous, but also made Yan Luo feel a bit of regret.
Through continuous devouring and digestion of the Master of the Abyss’s flesh, coupled with the amplification of gem powder, Yan Luo finally completed his transformation, with his magnetic field power greatly enhanced.
From his perception of his own powers, Yan Luo believed he had reached—
Ten thousand horsepower!
