Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion
Chapter 279 - 278: First clash
Turrrrrr turrrr turrr
Bleeep bleeep belllp
The base was in chaos as General Varkas' eyes widened.
"This strength… even after everything, the durability…" Varkas was going crazy as thoughts flooded his mind.
He was the only one not fazed by the fact that Rose was free. He was obsessed with her capabilities that were beyond the normal human. Worse, he was thinking if they could duplicate her power in their soldiers.
"With that… the world is ours to take," General Varkas' eyes widened as he spoke, a smile tugging at his lips as he looked at Rose like a treasure.
In the room where Rose was being kept, although she and the scientists were separated by thick bulletproof glass, the scientists felt as if they were in the same room with her.
Their hearts pounded heavily as they felt fear like never before.
Just when they thought it was all over for them—
Boom…
Rose collapsed on the ground. Her chest moved up and down as she breathed, her body in deep sleep.
"Report… re… port. She lost consciousness. According to the statistics, she had undergone an earlier attack and with our experiment… her body needs to heal, so she… fainted," a young scientist reported from the side as he struggled with his glasses.
Everyone heaved a sigh of relief, but it was short-lived as an almost excited male voice exploded beside them.
"Perfect, perfect! I want you to lock her in. This time around you have her stats and know what she's capable of. She mustn't escape her restraints again. Next, we will try to recover her blood," General Varkas commanded excitedly as the scientists gulped.
Still recovering from the trauma of death and now this… but strangely the scientists were not angry or sad, but had smiles on their faces.
Who wouldn't love discovering new things, especially a human-shaped being with human organs and body structure but able to produce five, even ten times the capability of a normal human?
No scientist is normal.
They thrive on experiments, and this was a huge pie—they would swallow all of it, even its crumbs.

At the Federation…
"Jake, Jake."
"Are you okay?" Dared called out. At his side was Jake, his eyes closed.
Jake's eyes opened wide as he glanced at Dared.
"…Yeah, I'm fine," Jake said after a short pause.
His eyes returned to the platform.
Was that a vision or an illusion? Jake thought.
"Let the battle begin," General Deezan said, his voice booming around as everyone gulped.
The eldest prince against the crown prince.
The first prince vs. the second.
Two close brothers who could lay down their lives for each other, but now they faced each other in combat… to the death.
With Deezan's words, Theron moved immediately.
Crack…
The ground beneath sank a few inches as Theron moved.
Caius' eyebrow raised as he saw a vision of a terrifying giant creature with huge wings.
It was charging straight at him, but just then, while Caius was dazed to the outside world…
His eyes glowed red as he snapped out of it, but Theron was already a few inches from him.
"Hit…" Theron's voice traveled to Caius as his eyes widened and pain shot up from his abdomen.
Bluhhh!
Immediately Caius blurted out blood, his mouth full of it.
"What?"
"Did anyone see what happened?"
"He… vomited blood?!"
The crowd was dazed. Frankly, they didn't understand.
Theron attacked, but Caius didn't move until Theron was only a few inches from him.
Was he trying to test Theron's power? Or was it something deeper?
"What was that?" Caius shook his head as he looked at Theron—only to find he was gone.
"Shit…"
Luckily, Caius was fast enough to roll to the left, barely dodging the attack.
Paaaaa—crack.
The ground not only sank but a few small pieces broke.
The crowd gulped in shock, but it wasn't over.
Theron's attack continued, faster and stronger this time. But what puzzled everyone was the fact that Caius didn't defend—only dodged.
"What's going on?"
Someone muttered, asking the question everyone wanted answered.
But it wasn't the same for the powerhouses.
Every time Theron moved, a terrifying bloodline pressure was released, and everyone felt the vague projection of a terrifying beast with wings at his back.
This was pressing down on Caius.
He wasn't just physically fighting Theron but mentally too.
Finally, a punch to the face—
Doom…
Caius' face snapped to the left as silence encompassed the Federation.
Pat. Pat. Pat.
Drops of blood landed on the ground.
Finally, Caius' head turned for the crowd to see him.
His jaw had been broken, his teeth incomplete.
Lydia hurriedly closed her mouth in fear.
"Caius…" she muttered, and the rest weren't any better.
"What's… that?" someone pointed to the platform as everyone looked.
The blood slowly disappeared, revealing an almost harmless face.
"He can regenerate that quickly?" one of the powerhouses said in shock.
At least at the Galaxy Realm, it was unheard of to regenerate that quickly from an attack by an opponent of similar rank.
"Done?" Caius' face turned cold as a smile escaped Theron's lips.
Bam…
Caius flew to the side, groaning as he landed.
"I am far from being done," Theron said calmly as he pursued Caius.
Boom. Boom…
Caius always reacted slow. Theron would be only a few inches from him before he reacted.
Bam…
Caius fell to the ground, struggling to stand. His ribs were broken, his eyes lost.
"I finally figured it out…" Caius said, standing up, as if he weren't the one hurt.
With deep breaths, Caius regenerated his eyes and body from injury as he looked at Theron.
"Come again…" This time Caius took a fighting posture as Theron attacked.
Bam…
A hit—but…
Everyone held their breath.
Had he finally figured it out???
This was the question on everyone's mind.
Soon, they saw it. Caius' head was to the side, and where Theron had hit was his shoulder.
Crack…
Caius stepped back as a bone-breaking sound echoed.
His right arm dangled as everyone gasped.
Broken.
"Hmm…" Caius said, looking at his shoulder. With a slight movement, the arm healed immediately. Caius laughed as he looked at Theron.
"Wanna try again?" Caius asked, clearly more confident.
"That was luck," Theron said, equally confident.
Boom…
Theron moved, but immediately Caius moved to attack him. Theron was stunned.
"How come?" Theron thought, shocked as he clashed with Caius.
Boom…
Both of them collided, blood dropping to the ground. But this time, Caius was unhurt—Theron wasn't.
His entire left arm was gone.
Caius' eyes blazed red, fangs protruding from his mouth as a bloodthirsty aura briefly escaped him.
"How… is this possible?" Theron struggled to speak, his expression full of shock.
