And just as Osvaldo had said, by evening, both him and Penny moved out of the penthouse over to the mansion which was once occupied by the Peterson’s.

It used to be his father’s mansion growing up. Maybe until he turned mad.

Moving through the lounge right now, the memories of that night flashed through his eyes. He had asked the Adkins lawyers to redecorate the entire place like it used to be too.

"It’s... Different..." Penny whispered with a smile. It looked ancient, like the houses you’d find in the 80s. She had no idea why Osvaldo wanted a place like this. They could have stayed in the penthouse which looked beautiful and modern.

"You don’t like it?" he asked softly, a trace of nostalgia in his voice. "It belonged to my father. I made sure it looked exactly the same as it did when I was a child."

"All of these..."

"Yes, they are the same decorative items as used 30 years ago. It’s surprising Timothy had kept them well." Osvaldo said with a smile, two hands in his pocket.

"Wow." Was all Penny said. Hughes and Barnaby who had stepped in with them went ahead to place Penny’s clothes in the masters bedroom as well as Osvaldo’s.

She tried going ving Penny a little signal but her Miss Penny looked too far gone. It was so glaring she was in love with their master and has turned a blind eye to the truth.

Osvaldo didn’t love her as much as she did. He was a monster. Monsters never loved. Their biggest mistake was having thinking he could love.

At this rate, if Penny cannot change his mind, then nothing else could. Their master is as good as dead.

"Tell me what you think Penguin." Osvaldo pulled her from the waist closer to himself.

"I... It’s beautiful..." Penny stuttered. She hated the whole old fashioned idea, but the mansion was still so beautiful. It looked nothing like what the Peterson’s once lived in.

"... we’re done master." Hughes announced standing next to Barnaby.

"You can live. And don’t bother coming back without my permission." Osvaldo said gently without looking their way and Hughes just bowed before walking away.

She’s never been more furious. She hated herself for not being able to save Penny and the new Adkins heir. This is all that have kept them going for long.

Osvaldo’s seed.

If the father was messed up, the seed couldn’t be. That would be the next successor and that monster was destroying it.

"Are you alright?" Barnaby asked his partner who rolled her eyes.

"What do you think? I’m perfectly fine Barnaby, mind your own business." Hughes rolled her eyes.

"Yup, you’re not fine. What’s the matter?"

"You’re the last person I should be speaking to. It’s not like you can do anything about it."

"Try me." Barnaby said as they approached the penthouse again.

"I already did before and nothing happened. You and I know miss Penny would be... Changed by the time she realizes herself. We cannot let master hurt the child." Hughes said in a hushed tone.

"That is not up to us. Master would do whatever he wants and you know it. Why not try talking to miss Penny yourself." Barnaby said. He had been against it before, but Hughes was right. Penny needed to know about the truth.

They couldn’t let their master destroy the next Adkins heir because of his obsession with being alone.

"I wish I hadn’t. But she’s so in love they she wouldn’t listen Barnaby. The more she stays locked there with him, the more danger she would be putting that child."

"On miss Penny can save herself and her child from master. If she doesn’t want to, then there’s nothing we can do." Barnaby said.

"You have experienced a near death experience with master before, this time he might not spare you." Barnaby warned.

The last person he wanted dead was Hughes. Her death would mess with him so much.

"My life is worth nothing compared to that child Barnaby. And since when did you care so much?" Hughes stared at him.

"You should drop the act, Barnaby. I know you hate me. If there’s anyone who wants me gone, it’s you," Hughes said with a laugh, trying to sound playful.

"You might have been annoying when we first met," Barnaby began, a small smile tugging at his lips.

Her laughter faded a little.

He recalled the days. The first time he met Hughes was when he had actually fallen in love. But she hated him back then and liked someone else.

Barnaby frowned at the memory.

"Maybe I hated you back then," he continued softly, "but you’ve become my favorite person over the years. I want to see you grow old... to see your beauty fade slowly till the end of time."

"W... what kind of nonsense are you spouting now Barnaby?" Hughes frowned, crossing her arms quickly. "You must be sick if you think I’d want to see you while I’m old."

Her cheeks, however, betrayed her. A soft pink crept across them, giving her away completely.

Barnaby chuckled under his breath. This woman, so quick to match everyone else, yet so quick to deny love when it came to her, looked almost adorable in her panic.

Even though she huffed and turned away, her ears were red.

For the first time, he’d made her blush. That was an achievement.

He had only realized now that live was too short not to tell her he had a crush on her from the beginning. That day his master had almost killed her, has been an eye opener for him and everyone.

Barnaby couldn’t help smiling as he watched her walk off in a fluster, pretending not to care.

She was impossible... but she was his favorite kind of impossible.

"Oh! Oh! Oh! The pain is too much. I can’t take it anymore." Abby cried out. Her legs had started again since she’s missed her treatment for weeks now.

She had been too focused on finding out about the man that has threatened to kill her Chris that she didn’t realized when she used up all of the money left for them.

She tried reaching out to May, but the Willard’s were in deep financial shit to attend to external needs.

Unfortunately, Maybelline and David Willard were still farting at the moment. No doctor has been able to discover the cause of their bloating. They had gotten even fatter, farting as they walked.

All of the maids of the Willard mansion had all resigned because they couldn’t live with the the excess farting and offensive odour.

"There’s nothing else we can do to help mother. A card of your drug is 26000. We’ve only managed to raise 4000 and that’s from father’s labor from r the month. There’s nothing else we can do." Christian said to his mother.

He used crossed one finger on his nostrils, trying not to breathe the offensive smell coming from Abby’s feet. Just like the doctor has told her, is she had cut off her legs when asked, she would never be going through this.

Right now, her leg was alreadynrottening from the inside. They’ve tried to find solutions and just like before there was none because her case was rare.

"We could have raised the money if you let Chris work like other young men." Gregory complained.

They had been too used to using Osvaldo’s money that it was so hard for him to work now. He only earned little in his work because he couldn’t lift as much weight as the young men there.

"That would be over my dead body Greg. We already talked about it. We can work for our son. I cannot risk Chris life because of money." Abby hissed.

The itching and pain was unbearable for her, but she was willing to endure for her son.

Maybe Greg was right before. Maybe she should have agreed to amputate the leg when she had the chance to. Maybe she wouldn’t be facing this pain now.

"Ahhhh." Abby cried out when the pain got unbearable and after the long pain came the unbearable itching. She slapped and scratched and her dead skin fell off.

"Tell the doctor I’m ready for him now. He can cut off this damned legs for all I care. I cannot bare the pain anymore." Abby said.

"Are you sure?" Greg asked. Chris could easily just join him at the site and they’d be able to produce more income before the month is over.

"I’m so sure." Abby cried out.

"Cut off the leg Greg. Do it now if you have to, but cut it off." She would rather lose a leg than lose her only son.

"I’ll get in touch with the doctor, hopefully, things go as planned." Chris said calmly and stepped out of the room.
