Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World
Chapter 261: Confession?
CHAPTER 261: CONFESSION?
The next morning, the trio gathered at the foot of the Chaos Heaven Peak.
Ming Tianmei was the first to speak.
"I’ll be going now," she said.
"Wait," Yu Xuan asked, tilting his head, "aren’t you using the teleportation hub?"
Lingluo nodded beside him, equally puzzled.
Ming Tianmei smiled faintly.
"No, I have to make a rendezvous elsewhere first, to complete a part of my master’s work. I’ll take my own route."
Before either sibling could ask more, her figure blurred into streaks of pale light, gone without a trace.
Yu Xuan exhaled softly, his eyes following her, even though she vanished.
"She’s always like that. Comes and goes like a ghost."
"More like acting mysterious," Lingluo muttered.
"Appears when she wants, vanishes when she wants."
Lingluo sighed.
Yu Xuan chuckled.
"That’s... accurate."
Together, the two descended the mountain path toward the teleportation hub.
The air was fresh and cool, maybe even slightly chaotic.
Halfway down, a familiar short figure joined them.
"Yo," the shorty greeted casually.
"Heading out already?"
"Yeah," Yu Xuan said, smiling.
"Thanks again for handling the transfer request."
"No need to thank me." The shorty smirked.
Yu Xuan pretended to hear that.
Earlier that morning, both he and Ming Tianmei had already informed the Chaos Heaven Peak Master of their departures.
And yesterday, Yu Xuan had reached out to the shorty through spirit sense, asking her to help with the formalities.
After the Martial Ancestor’s trial, something in him had changed.
He’d always treated cultivation as routine, something natural but not his main focus.
Main focus was self distraction, maybe?
But after witnessing the sheer scale of that battle, the divine techniques, the raw willpower of those disciples... something inside him had ignited.
He wanted to grow stronger.
Not just to survive, but to reach that level where he could wield power freely, like Old Yu.
"Motivation hits late, huh?" the shorty teased, noticing his expression.
Yu Xuan smiled faintly.
"Maybe. But better late than never."
Lingluo yawned beside them.
"Can we get this over with? I want to nap."
Yu Xuan ruffled her hair playfully.
"Still the same lazy person."
"I’m not lazy. I’m efficiently conserving energy," she replied.
Their laughter carried through the mountain path as they reached the teleportation hub in the town.
The place was bustling.
Cultivators in different peaks came and went, runes pulsing as teleportation formations flared to life.
Yu Xuan scanned the crowd — then blinked.
At the main control platform stood a familiar face: the same man who had handled his first arrival at Chaos Heaven Peak.
Only this time, the man’s expression was... not friendly.
In fact, the moment their eyes met, the man’s gaze sharpened.
Yu Xuan blinked again, puzzled.
’Did I offend this guy?’ he thought
The man crossed his arms, staring at him with slight anger.
Lingluo noticed his change in expression.
"What’s wrong?"
"Uh... I think the teleportation guy hates me," Yu Xuan whispered.
Lingluo raised a brow.
"What did you do?"
"...Nothing serious. Probably."
The shorty glanced at him suspiciously.
"Define ’probably.’"
Yu Xuan sighed deeply as the man waved them over, his scowl promising a very uncomfortable conversation.
But to his surprise, the man didn’t yell, complain, or even glare for long. Instead, he just gave curt instructions.
"Stand there," the man said flatly, gesturing to the glowing array.
"And don’t move until I say so."
He then instructed a few commands to the nearby disciples maintaining the teleportation hub.
Yu Xuan blinked in confusion.
"...That’s it?"
Apparently, the man had decided not to cause any trouble.
’ I feel like he’s still plotting revenge.’ Yu Xuan thought.
And he wasn’t entirely wrong.
The teleportation manager still remembered the day Yu Xuan had first arrived — when the entire teleportation array had blown up spectacularly, forcing emergency repairs that took three full days and burned through several thousand spirit stones and sect points.
Ever since then, the man had quietly vowed that if this brat ever showed up again, he’d "accidentally" redirect him to a nice scenic location... say, the middle of a wild beast nest.
But unfortunately, this time, the senior sister from the Main Peak had personally requested the transfer on Yu Xuan’s behalf.
The man gritted his teeth, restraining himself.
He couldn’t mess with this one.
At least, not today.
"Lucky brat," he muttered under his breath.
Meanwhile, Yu Xuan stepped calmly onto the teleportation formation, turning toward the shorty.
"Thanks again for the help," he said sincerely.
The shorty waved a hand dismissively, signaling ’Shu shu’.
Then, just before the formation activated, he turned toward Lingluo.
His expression softened, and through spirit sense, he sent a message.
’Bye, big sister. Love you.’
The words struck like a surprise lightning bolt.
Lingluo froze completely, her eyes widening as her face turned crimson.
A wave of bloodline pressure erupted from her before she even realized it, shaking the air. And the poor disciples who focused on bloodline cultivation, present there, had their faces in shocked and fear.
Because the moment Lingluo’s aura flared, those all felt a terrifying pressure on themselves, even when their cultivation was above Lingluo’s, there were no exceptions.
The shorty blinked, taking a cautious step back.
"Uh... what just happened?"
Before anyone could react further, the teleportation array flared to life, around Yu Xuan as his figure blurred into motes of radiance.
And in a flash, he was gone.
Left behind was one flustered big sister glowing red enough to ignite the mountain, and one extremely confused shorty staring at her with a raised brow.
"...Did he just confess or something?" the shorty muttered under her breath.
Lingluo, still frozen, stammered, "N-no! Of course not! He’s just— he’s just my brother!"
"Sure," the shorty said believing it.
If anyone else had Lingluo’s face, that would’ve seen a terrifying sight, Chaos Heaven Peak’s proud youngest disciple, face crimson, aura flaring like a storm, muttering furiously under her breath while a shorty consoled her, likely believing she will miss her brother.
