"It’s your first time having dinner alone with Matthew Morgan today. Can you at least tidy yourself up a bit?"

Jodie Cooper felt like she wasn’t back in the country for vacation this time, but to play housekeeper.

Chloe Grant was a real handful for her.

"He’s seen me at my ugliest, why bother..."

Chloe Grant didn’t care a bit and lay back down to sleep.

Jodie Cooper kicked her in anger, "If you sleep any longer, I’ll splash water on you!"

As soon as the warning left her mouth, Chloe Grant sprang up from the bed, "Please, don’t!"

"Go wash up, then try on this outfit." Jodie Cooper commanded.

Chloe Grant showed a miserable expression but obediently went to wash up.

Jodie Cooper picked out a pink business suit for Chloe Grant, with a white lace collar on the inside top.

The pink color and slightly mature style suited her very well, a girl in between a young lady and a grown woman.

What comforted Jodie Cooper was that Chloe Grant was indeed a girl who loved beauty. Once she tidied up, she looked lovely, and she didn’t dawdle.

Jodie Cooper really feared her tardiness.

"You slowpoke, let’s go!"

When the two went downstairs, Benjamin Grant had already ordered breakfast and was eating.

As Chloe Grant came down, he glanced at her casually before lowering his head to continue eating. But... less than two seconds later, he lifted his head sharply, his gaze on Chloe Grant revealing surprise.

Jodie Cooper laughed, placing her hand on Chloe Grant’s shoulder, "How about it, pretty, right?"

Though Chloe Grant’s features weren’t stunning, they weren’t bad either. She’s the type that looks quite charming with a bit of grooming.

Usually, she looked a bit immature.

"Pretty? More like a ghost." Benjamin Grant muttered, then quickly stuffed his bun into his mouth.

Jodie Cooper frowned, "What a lack of taste."

By this time, Benjamin Grant had already wiped his hands with a napkin, looking at Chloe Grant with an indifferent face, "And you, a little intern wearing designer clothes, aren’t you afraid people will say you have connections?"

As he spoke, he stood up, sweeping his gaze over Chloe Grant again, "With Lily Grant’s personality, stepping out in that outfit guarantees you’ll be in the gossip columns soon."

"Can’t you ever say something nice?" Jodie Cooper was displeased with Benjamin Grant’s words.

Chloe Grant was quite surprised...

Why does he, an outsider, know so much about her affairs?

"I’m just speaking the truth." Benjamin Grant coldly tossed out the words and walked out.

"Brat!" Jodie Cooper cursed.

Turning around, "Don’t mind what he says, what’s most important now is to make sure today’s date goes well. Don’t let it be as awkward as yesterday!"

Jodie Cooper adjusted Chloe Grant’s collar as she reminded her.

"Is he... close to you? Or does he have something to do with me?" Chloe Grant questioned suspiciously.

Jodie Cooper’s actions suddenly paused, "Why are you asking about him so much? He’s just like that, a brat with no filter."

"No. I mean, why does he know so much about my affairs? Especially that last sentence..."

When it came to Lily Grant, he seemed to know even more about what kind of person Lily Grant is than she did.

Facing Chloe Grant’s question, Jodie Cooper hesitated, her eyes darting around before she replied, "Oh... I told him."

"Hmm?" Chloe Grant was still skeptical.

In her impression, Jodie Cooper wasn’t a gossip.

She rarely talked about people around her.
