Chapter 450: Chloe’s Awkward Chat with Uncle Morgan 10
CHAPTER 450: CHAPTER 450: CHLOE’S AWKWARD CHAT WITH UNCLE MORGAN 10
Chloe Grant’s temperament is such that when Matthew Morgan gives an order, she naturally backs down.
Matthew Morgan got out of the car, walked around, opened the door for her, "Get out."
Chloe Grant sluggishly got out of the car.
Matthew Morgan closed the car door and looked at her seemingly a bit dazed look, then slowly said, "When sitting in the passenger seat next to a man, you don’t need to get out by yourself."
As he spoke, he was already walking forward.
Matthew Morgan had long legs and took big strides.
Chloe Grant wore high heels to match her outfit, which were a few centimeters higher than she could usually handle, so she walked slower than usual.
However, because of Matthew Morgan’s insistence on her running for many years, her calves were very strong, making her walk steadily in high heels.
By the time Matthew Morgan reached the entrance, the waiter had already opened the restaurant door for him and bowed respectfully, "Welcome."
The restaurant wasn’t very big, with a Japanese ambiance and somewhat retro decor.
In such a prime location, this kind of storefront didn’t count as high-end.
For someone like Matthew Morgan, he wouldn’t normally step into such a place.
It didn’t have much class.
He didn’t go in immediately but waited a bit until Chloe Grant caught up before extending his hand to grab Chloe Grant’s wrist.
His movement was sudden, which startled Chloe Grant and she looked up at him, "Uncle... Morgan?"
"Steps," Matthew Morgan glanced and replied simply.
Chloe Grant sluggishly realized, then chuckled, "Oh yeah, it’s hard to walk in high heels."
She laughed innocently and climbed the steps with Matthew Morgan’s support.
The restaurant was dimly lit, and Chloe Grant could see, but with some difficulty.
"Two of you?" the waiter asked.
All the while, the waiter kept sneaking glances at Matthew Morgan.
A lot of good-looking professionals had visited the restaurant, but never someone with such an extraordinary presence and exquisite features.
The kind of stunning beauty that felt like a flower blossoming in the heart, subtle and lingering.
"Yes," Matthew Morgan replied coldly.
With one glance, he took in the whole small place.
In the end, Matthew Morgan chose a seat more inside, just under the light.
Normal people’s eyes might feel uncomfortable, but for Chloe Grant, it was just right.
The two sat down, and Chloe Grant immediately noticed that the things on the table were a bit messy, so when Matthew Morgan frowned, Chloe Grant hurriedly reached out to tidy them up.
Once everything was neatly arranged, she breathed a sigh of relief.
The waiter brought the menu, and Matthew Morgan let Chloe Grant order.
Chloe Grant didn’t hold back.
She didn’t know about this place before, and at the time, it was just an excuse Jodie Cooper used to ask Matthew Morgan out.
Chloe Grant never expected there to actually be such a restaurant, and Jodie Cooper had also recommended some signature dishes.
Chloe Grant skimmed through the menu a few times, then ordered the dishes.
When the food arrived, Matthew Morgan took a perfunctory bite and immediately understood why this place could thrive in such a location.
"Uncle Morgan, it’s delicious!"
Whenever Chloe Grant encountered good food, her foodie nature was instantly revealed.
Even the nervousness she usually had around Matthew Morgan disappeared completely—she was thoroughly enjoying the meal.
Matthew Morgan glanced at her, slightly lifted the corners of his mouth, and placed the char siu pork from his bowl into Chloe Grant’s bowl.
"This is really good!"
Chloe Grant praised continuously and, without noticing Matthew Morgan’s gesture, ate all the meat he gave her.
If Jodie Cooper knew she arranged this solo date, which ended up with someone just eating joyfully, she’d probably be spitting blood!
