"Chloe, are you listening to me?"

"Chloe?"

Isabella Gray’s voice jolted Chloe Grant back to her senses, "I am... what I mean is, I really can’t be sure about that. You’d have to ask Uncle Morgan if he likes it."

"If you ask him, he’ll definitely say it’s not suitable."

Isabella Gray seemed to know exactly how Matthew Morgan would react.

She sighed helplessly, a little annoyed, "He’s one thing, but Lucas is the same way.

Ever since he broke up with Lily Grant, I haven’t seen any women around him, good or bad. Sure, it’s not good to jump into another relationship right after a breakup, but it’s been two years; he should have moved on by now."

As Isabella talked about Lucas Morgan, she suddenly paused and leaned closer to Chloe Grant, "Do you think maybe Lucas still can’t forget Lily Grant?"

"Um... that shouldn’t be the case, right?" Chloe Grant really didn’t know how to answer.

"Apparently, he’s still paying Lily alimony. Even when she interned at your station, it was him who helped her get in. Do you think he still has feelings for her? I don’t even mind if he still cares, but why act like without Lily, there’s no one else for him?"

Isabella Gray was now really worn out worrying about the Morgan brothers’ love lives.

"Grandma, maybe he has his own reasons, don’t worry too much about it," Chloe Grant comforted her.

Just as Isabella was about to speak, Mrs. Taylor and Michael Taylor returned.

Isabella Gray put away her worried expression and greeted them with a smile.

Then Isabella Gray and Mrs. Taylor resumed their cheerful chat. As they talked, they suggested going down to the hot springs for a soak.

Afterward, they could have dinner together.

Since Chloe Grant was there with Isabella, she naturally didn’t have any objections.

What surprised Chloe Grant was when Michael, who hadn’t spoken much, finally spoke up, "I’m sorry, but I’m not feeling well these days."

She lowered her head, her face already blushing, shyly.

Everyone there was a woman, so they naturally understood.

Isabella Gray laughed, "Well then, Chloe, why don’t you stay and keep Michael company?"

"Sure thing." Chloe Grant was genuinely glad.

After all, she couldn’t join in much of the conversation with the two elders.

Whenever there was a gap, Isabella would constantly ask her things like "Does your uncle suit you?" and Chloe couldn’t really answer.

Staying with Michael felt much better to Chloe Grant.

After Isabella Gray and Mrs. Taylor left, Chloe Grant and Michael didn’t have much to talk about either.

When their eyes met, there was some awkward laughter before they both looked down and got lost in their own thoughts.

Chloe Grant’s phone started buzzing.

It had buzzed several times earlier, but since Isabella and Mrs. Taylor were deep in conversation, it seemed impolite to check it, so she hadn’t.

Most of the messages were from Ralph Koch.

"Where are you?"

"Why aren’t you with Matthew?"

"Are you cheating on him?"

"By the way, last night you guys... ahem..."

Chloe Grant didn’t bother reading the rest and just rolled her eyes, responded with an eye-rolling emoji, and closed Ralph’s chat window.

Next came a message from Matthew Morgan.

Just one line: Are you coming home for dinner tonight?

Though it was just one line, just a simple question, Chloe Grant felt a sweet happiness deep inside.
