Lily Grant couldn’t help but think of Ralph Koch when she saw Gale Koch’s demeanor towards her a moment ago.

There seemed to be a resemblance, somehow.

Both of them had the surname "Koch," probably from the same ancestors.

"Why are you always so nosy?"

Lucas Morgan had already walked over, and with a swipe of his hand, he knocked on Chloe Grant’s head, "How long have you been spying?"

"Lucas Morgan! You let people flirt with you, and you dare to be rough with me! Watch out, or I’ll tell Uncle Morgan!" Chloe Grant complained, holding her head.

Lucas didn’t care; he knocked on her head a few more times, "With your level of intelligence, the more I knock, the more Uncle Morgan will thank me."

"Get lost!"

Chloe was furious.

Michael Taylor, who was watching their interaction, couldn’t help but lower his head and cover his mouth, laughing, "You two really get along well."

Chloe was about to retort when Lucas suddenly reached out, grabbing Chloe’s shoulder and pulling her over to his side.

Chloe struggled!

There was a low hedge between Lucas and her, and now half of her body was bent over it, with branches poking painfully into her waist and underarm.

Lucas didn’t care and only hugged tighter, "This girl has had a crush on me for ten years, but I didn’t reciprocate. So, how do you think our relationship is?"

"Lucas Morgan!"

Chloe went nuts and pushed him away hard, "You jerk!"

"Do you even know the proper way to address my grandpa?" Lucas countered, "Mom’s here now. If she hears you, you’re toast!"

Isabella Gray was extremely traditional, insisting all younger generations respect their elders, or else they’d face consequences.

"I don’t want to deal with you."

Chloe rolled her eyes, grabbed Michael, and walked off. Halfway, she turned back, "I recorded everything earlier with you and Gale. Rest assured, when I’m upset, I’ll show Grandma to cheer us both up!"

"Hey, what did you say?"

Lucas widened his eyes.

By then, Chloe had already left with Michael, and though Lucas wanted to follow, he couldn’t get past the hedge.

By the time he made his way around, Chloe was gone.

Chloe Grant knew when Gale Koch came, Isabella Gray and Cloudy were there too.

She had just walked with Michael Taylor to the garden when she saw Isabella Gray holding Cloudy, seated by the hedges, chatting happily with Michael’s mother.

"Grandpa Morgan’s child is truly adorable," Michael couldn’t help but say.

Chloe was surprised, "You knew that’s Uncle Morgan’s child?"

Michael nodded, "I’ve known. Ever since Auntie Gray mentioned it, it’s been clear Grandpa Morgan has a child. But my mother said it’s fine; the child’s mother won’t appear."

"Is that so..."

Chloe found it surprising.

She thought Isabella Gray would keep the child’s matter a secret, but she was candid about it instead.

And she didn’t expect the Taylor family to agree.

"My mother said, even if Grandpa Morgan has a child, he’s still a rare fine son-in-law. No one can match his status or wealth within the capital. She said marrying into the Morgan family would be a privilege for generations and an honor for the Taylor family. Michael paused midway, realizing something, then continued, "That’s how it is.
