Addicted After Marriage: Marrying My Abstinent Boss
Chapter 134: She’s Better at Everything
CHAPTER 134: CHAPTER 134: SHE’S BETTER AT EVERYTHING
Sophia Lowell didn’t drink much. Many people toasted to her, but she just took small sips—actually she didn’t drink at all.
Not far away, Annie watched Sophia Lowell seriously eating dessert and gave her a thumbs up.
Sophia Lowell smiled, it seemed this woman was going to hit her target tonight.
Just then, she received a call from Hugh Irving.
She picked up the phone, walked out of the venue, leaned against a pillar in the corridor, and glanced around before answering.
"Sister, did you sleep with a man?" Hugh Irving asked excitedly.
"Did I drink too much? How dare you say that?" Sophia Lowell frowned.
"The work number suddenly got so many new contacts, all notes saying they are Annie’s besties! Some have already started booking! We’re going to get rich!"
Sophia Lowell could hear Hugh Irving screaming hysterically on the other end, and she smiled softly.
Doesn’t her friend know her own capabilities? Does she have to sleep with a man to get these orders?
"Make sure to note everything properly, don’t get carried away. The more people there are, the more cautious we need to be. These people are high-profile contacts we can’t offend. Provide good after-sales service, they’ll be our support from now on."
Hugh Irving blew kisses endlessly from the other end, "Love you to bits, why didn’t I listen to you and come back to work solo earlier!"
Sophia Lowell chuckled and hung up the phone.
Looking up, she saw the silhouette of a man in the dim light beside the West wing.
The man leaned against the door frame, watching Sophia Lowell intently as if examining a fragile object.
Sophia Lowell’s brief smile slowly faded away and was replaced by tension.
Why was she nervous seeing her own husband, feeling guilty like a thief caught red-handed?
"Did you drink too much?" Sophia Lowell lifted her long legs and walked towards him.
Zane Sterling stood straight, his broad back moving away from the door frame to welcome the woman’s arrival.
His gaze landed on the waist of the woman, which nearly killed her last night.
Every step she took revealed a tempting curve, the slit at her side appearing and disappearing with her motions, her perfect hips and slender waist outlined beautifully by the cheongsam.
These hips were the best from behind...
That, he knew.
He slightly curved his lips into a smile, thinking he must have saved the galaxy in his past life to deserve such a wonderful woman in this one.
"Didn’t drink much," he said.
Sophia Lowell stood before him, looking up at his expression, seeing no signs of drunkenness. Plus, today was all about the red wine, no other strong liquor, so he was probably not drunk.
Zane Sterling reached out his long arms and gently scooped her into his embrace.
Sophia Lowell felt his tenderness, his scorching arms wrapped around her waist.
"Why didn’t you come looking for me when you arrived?" he asked.
"You were too busy, and I had things to do today as well. I thought I’d come find you once I was done," Sophia Lowell said, holding him tight.
"Are you done now?"
He nuzzled against her neck, his hot breath lingering by her ear.
"I’m done..." she replied softly, her grip on the man’s hand slowly tightening.
"There’s another event tomorrow," he asked carefully, "Can you accompany me?"
Sophia Lowell gave a slight pause, and without thinking, said, "Okay."
She hadn’t attended such a formal event with him before.
The man slowly released his hold from her waist, looking down at her, seemingly hearing a faint chuckle from him.
"You look so beautiful today—" he gently pinched the soft flesh on her waist.
Sophia Lowell bit her lip lightly, gripping onto his suit jacket.
Zane Sterling tugged at his lips, reached out to grab her hand, and pulled her into the private room.
"... Zane Sterling!" Sophia Lowell startled, looking around; thankfully, there was no one around.
The room door was closed and locked.
The lights weren’t switched on inside; it was pitch black, nothing was visible.
Only the sound of restless breathing was heard.
The man’s face in front enlarged gradually, his heavy hot breath pouring from top to bottom.
The rich scent of wine blended with the faint sandalwood fragrance on the man overwhelmed her.
The moist, soft tongue gently invaded.
Zane Sterling wrapped his arms around her waist, the two of them closely bonded together airtight.
In the hollow room, different breaths echoed.
Outside was a world of bright lights and wine, a world bustling with people, a world of money and fame.
And beyond this window, it was a romantic exclusive place.
A large hand moved up from the slit of the cheongsam.
"..." The woman couldn’t help but let out a soft moan.
That large hand only had to move a bit further, and the forbidden territory would be occupied.
That was his intention.
"Back home..." Sophia Lowell patted the man nuzzled against her neck.
He didn’t say a word; he continued.
The outside noise grew louder, conversation voices escalated.
Inside, it was the same.
Beau Morgan couldn’t find the figure of Zane Sterling in the crowd; she went to the restroom, hoping to get closer tonight, but she couldn’t find him anywhere in the entire venue.
Earlier, she saw Sophia Lowell on the other side of the venue, surrounded respectfully by a crowd of women.
Today, Sophia seemed to be the protagonist.
She even specifically had someone remind Annie, but received nothing but disdain from her.
In such a high-end venue with such a serious conference, attended by prominent figures, was the reporter blind not to see the situation inside?
Beau Morgan left the venue in anger, wondering if Zane Sterling was drunk somewhere, thinking this might be a good opportunity.
Unexpectedly, she hadn’t yet reached the private room area when she heard strange sounds.
The man kissed her, the noise outside drowning out his muffled groans.
Quite a distance from the private room, nothing about the events here could be heard.
But Beau Morgan, standing not far away, heard it all clearly. She seethed with anger and shame, her cheeks blushing red.
Sophia Lowell was pressed against the door, kissed into a daze, in dependency and affection.
Zane Sterling held her tightly.
This was the first time he wanted to bully her in such a place.
Sophia Lowell flushed red, her nerves tingling with excitement.
After a long while, Zane Sterling helped her straighten her clothes, draped his suit jacket over her shoulders, and then took her hand and walked out.
Beau Morgan, hiding nearby, watched their linked fingers, wishing she could march forward with a knife and cut them apart!
Clearly, she wasn’t any worse than her, yet didn’t possess anything better!
"Did you drive here?" Zane Sterling squeezed her hand.
"No, Annie’s driver brought me," Sophia Lowell replied.
As soon as she finished speaking, she saw two portly middle-aged men approaching.
"Oh wow! Mr. Sterling! This year’s charm is blooming splendidly! One departed just now, and here comes another, this is..."
"My wife," he replied with a faint smile.
Sophia Lowell pursed her lips and nodded towards them both, "Mr. Hale, President King, pleased to meet you!"
"Amazing, she even knows us! Extraordinary, haha!"
Zane Sterling looked at Sophia Lowell with interest; she even knew these prominent figures?
"When did Mr. Sterling get married? How come there wasn’t any sign or hint?" Mr. Hale scrutinized the woman in front.
In their circle, they hadn’t seen the likes of Sophia Lowell before. To marry someone as unattainable as Zane Sterling, she must have quite some capabilities!
Zane Sterling chuckled, "She was very hard to get. I barely managed to catch her. If you all knew, I’d be under a lot of pressure."
Sophia Lowell burst into a giggle.
The two directors laughed heartily as well.
"Mrs. Sterling, truly stunning, must be well hidden, haha..."
