CHAPTER 17: CHAPTER 17: NATALIE VAUGHN TAKES DOWN FIVE MEN BARE-HANDED

The bar was filled with a mix of conversation and music, not exactly quiet, yet the sound of a breaking bottle was still easily distinguishable.

This kind of place always had friction; everyone was already used to it.

The men in the private room paused their conversation for a moment but didn’t think much of it. Only Zane Thorne suddenly turned his head to glance at the door.

Quentin Donovan followed his gaze and casually remarked.

"Why is Nina taking so long to come back from the restroom?"

After speaking, he paused for a moment and met Zane’s gaze. Felix Langdon, sitting by the window, looked down. Just one glance, and he couldn’t take his eyes away.

Felix raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

Wasn’t the person causing the friction Natalie Vaughn?

Theodore Langdon followed with a look and immediately recognized Natalie Vaughn.

"Isn’t that the sister-in-law?"

Upon hearing this, Quentin Donovan immediately moved to the window.

Natalie Vaughn hadn’t had a fight in a long time. For the past few days, she hadn’t even had time to go to the gym because of the matchmaking.

This man was practically looking for trouble.

She was dressed comfortably today. Natalie stretched her body and, facing four or five men without a hint of fear, felt quite cheerful and was naturally in the mood for a violent game.

Natalie clenched her fists, stepped aside with her right leg, then moved forward, raising her arm to use a classic forward elbow strike to knock the bottle out of the man’s hand.

Crash, the bottle hit the ground and shattered to pieces.

The man obviously hadn’t expected Natalie to defend and then counterattack. Before he could react, Natalie delivered a front kick to his abdomen.

With a swish, Natalie turned her head, taking advantage of the momentum to deliver a foot knife kick, hitting the skinny guy attacking from the right and sending him flying about a meter away.

Such moves left everyone on the first floor stunned, and even the bar’s DJ changed the music style. Upstairs, Theodore Langdon was so amazed he couldn’t help but whistle.

"Damn, is the sister-in-law that amazing?"

Hearing this, Zane Thorne shook some ash from his cigarette and finally stood up and headed over.

There were still three men left. Natalie leisurely pulled out a hair tie from her pocket, quickly tied up a high ponytail, tilted her head, and smiled at them.

"Why don’t you all come at once?"

Coming one by one, like saving the grandfather in a pumpkin house, how boring is that?

Being provoked by such a young girl, no man could bear it. One casually picked up the bottle from the table and swung it at Natalie.

Natalie’s eyes instantly turned sharp, quickly analyzing the situation. She stepped back with her right leg, first using an upper block to deflect the bottle attack from the person in front, then executed a back kick, knocking the person to the ground. She stooped to dodge another attack, her toes scraped against the floor, jumped, and delivered a beautiful spinning kick.

The moves were clean, crisp, and quite handsome.

Finished, Natalie stood still, clenched her fists outward, and exhaled a long breath.

These men, though having the bodies of men, were weak inside, not even enough for her to stretch her muscles.

Natalie squatted in front of the man who tried to flirt with her, picked up a broken piece of the bottle, and pressed the broken edge against his chin, forcing him to look up.

Seeing him shivering with fear, Natalie snorted coldly.

"Do you still want to drink with me?"

"No... no more."

At this moment, looking so cowardly, he didn’t know where the courage to provoke came from in the first place.

Natalie found it uninteresting, throwing the bottle aside to the ground.

"Remember to pay for it."

After saying this, she got up, ready to leave.

The place was littered with broken bottles, and the strong smell of alcohol made Natalie furrow her brow.

Upstairs, Theodore Langdon couldn’t help but whistle again, leaning on the windowsill.

"Sister-in-law’s a bad-ass...."

The word "ass" hadn’t even come out when the man who had been lying on the ground suddenly picked up a bottle and swung it towards the back of Natalie’s head.

Quentin Donovan felt his heart jump.

"Nina, watch out!"

Zane Thorne’s expression suddenly turned cold, his eyes narrowed, a sharp glint passing through them.

Upon hearing the sound, Natalie quickly reacted, turning and kicking the bottle away.

Seeing this scene, the people upstairs breathed a sigh of relief. Theodore Langdon raised his arm.

"Sister-in-law, well done!"

Zane Thorne’s fingers twitched at his side, then he turned and left the private room.

Downstairs, Natalie coldly walked back to the man, stepped on his hand that had held the bottle, and even ground it a few times.

The man’s cries echoed through the bar.

Natalie crouched down, picked up a shard of glass, and pressed it against the man’s throat.

Word for word.

"Why don’t you ever learn?"

The bar manager rushed over, seeing that Natalie had no intention of letting up her foot and hand, fearing it might cause a death, he quickly spoke.

"Miss, please calm down."

Natalie ignored him. She wasn’t the type to start trouble, nor was she the type to fear it. Clearly, the man’s repeated provocations had drained her patience.

The manager wanted to step forward to persuade again when a low voice came.

"Let her handle it."

The manager turned around and saw it wasn’t anyone but the boss. Sensibly, he stepped back to the side. With the boss here, this wasn’t a big deal.

Upon hearing Zane Thorne’s voice, Natalie closed her eyes for a moment, suppressing the anger in her eyes, rotated the glass shard in her hand, and stabbed it hard into the man’s right hand.

She wasn’t afraid of causing a bigger scene, but this was Zane Thorne’s territory, and she couldn’t give him such a troublesome gift on their first official meeting.

Watching Natalie’s swift and precise actions, Zane Thorne didn’t even blink, only frowning when his eyes fell on her hands.

Quentin Donovan, Felix Langdon, and Theodore Langdon all came downstairs as well.

Unlike Natalie, Quentin Donovan didn’t care if it would cause trouble for Zane Thorne, directly kicking the man clutching his arm.

"What kind of bastard dares touch Nina."

Theodore Langdon also wanted to join in but was stopped by Felix Langdon.

"Do you want to be on trending searches?"

Upon hearing this, Theodore Langdon retracted his foot but still held back his anger.

It was Natalie who sensed that if the situation escalated, it could affect Theodore, so she stopped Quentin Donovan. She threw away the glass in her hand and reached out to pull Quentin Donovan’s hand.

Quentin Donovan didn’t want to stop just like that. His silvery hair, like its owner’s fury, raged as he pushed Natalie aside to continue, only to hear her cry out in pain.

He paused, turning to look at Natalie.

Her hand was full of blood.

Zane Thorne, standing by, saw that Natalie had vented enough and finally stepped forward, silently pulling her to leave.

Quentin Donovan, not at ease, wanted to follow, but Felix Langdon stopped him.

"You help handle things here."

Quentin Donovan frowned, his entire body ablaze with anger.

"You can’t handle it alone?"

Felix Langdon still refused to let go.

"They’re building a relationship, why go play third wheel?"

Quentin Donovan: ...

Build a relationship at the hospital?

He’s the third wheel?
