CHAPTER 21: CHAPTER 21: WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO LECTURE ME?

"It hurts... let go of me..."

Lillian Everett was in tears and snot from the pain, looking utterly miserable.

"If it happens again, your hand will be permanently crippled."

Serena Everett withdrew her hand with disdain, taking out a handkerchief to wipe her hands carefully, as if she had touched something filthy.

"You..."

Seeing Serena’s actions, Lillian felt humiliated, her anger intensifying to the point where she almost fainted from breathlessness.

"Lillian, what happened? Why did you scream like that?"

Amy Miller rushed over upon hearing the commotion, and Lillian immediately started crying and complaining.

"Mom, that jinx Serena Everett twisted my arm... You have to give her a good lesson for me!"

"Serena, do you want to die? How dare you break my daughter’s arm?!" Amy Miller immediately assumed her countrywoman’s stance, pointing at Serena’s nose and yelling angrily, "You ungrateful brat, we raised you, and not only do you not repay us, but you also repay kindness with revenge. You are destined to face divine retribution!"

"It was Grandma who raised me; you have never provided for me." Serena’s beautiful, sly eyes flashed with a cold glint. "I don’t know if I’ll suffer any retribution, but you are sure to meet with disaster."

"You’re cursing us?!" Amy’s eyes turned vicious as she raised her hand to slap Serena in the face, "Today, I’ll discipline you on behalf of your dead grandmother!"

Hearing her mention her grandma, a fierce expression quickly surfaced on Serena’s delicate, porcelain-white face, making her look chilling.

"Who do you think you are, to teach me on Grandma’s behalf?"

As Amy Miller rushed over with a ferocious expression, Serena kicked her directly on the knee.

"Ah..."

Amy felt intense pain in her knee, unable to stand, and with a "thud," her legs uncontrollably knelt on the ground.

The heavy kneeling caused cracking sounds to emanate from her knees, evidently a bone fracture.

"Mom, are you okay..."

Lillian was startled, trying her best to endure the pain in her left hand as she struggled to help Amy up.

"Slow down, slow down... it hurts so much..."

Amy, kneeling on the ground, couldn’t move; it took a lot of effort to get her up, but her legs were still in immense pain, intensifying her resentment towards Serena.

"You heartless jinx, you dare to lay hands on me now? Today, I must give you a thorough lesson, you damn jinx..."

Amy’s harsh words were interrupted by a stern voice.

"Do not cause trouble in The Apothecary Hall. Anyone causing trouble here, regardless of their status, will be blacklisted from The Apothecary and never allowed to enter again!"

Upon hearing about the permanent blacklisting, Amy and Lillian were instantly frightened and pointed at Serena with malicious intent.

"It’s not us causing trouble, it’s her! It’s that jinx causing trouble!"

"Exactly, it’s her causing trouble. Look at what she did to us; you must kick her out and ban her from ever entering The Apothecary Hall again!"

They had just spent a million to get a card at The Apothecary Hall; now they were Platinum customers, while Serena was just a poor girl. Surely, The Apothecary Hall would side with them!

The one being kicked out and blacklisted would be Serena, the jinx!

Thinking of Serena being kicked out like a dog, Amy and Lillian became immensely pleased.

The manager, initially with a stern face, changed expressions upon seeing the girl lazily standing aside.

Amy and Lillian, oblivious to the manager’s change in expression, continued to speak harshly.

"Hurry up and kick out that poor thing! Seeing her jinx face is bad luck!"

"Exactly, exactly, a poor thing like her doesn’t deserve to be in the same place as us, kick her out quickly!"

Poor thing?

Listening to the insults coming from Amy and her daughter, the manager looked at them as if they were fools.

Did they not know the "poor thing" they were cursing could earn tens of millions in a minute?

Heck, if their boss was poor, there would be no rich people in the world!

"What are you standing around for? Kick her out already!"

Seeing the manager and staff not moving, Amy and Lillian grew impatient and tried to threaten them, "If you don’t kick that jinx out, we’ll have to get a refund for our card!"

"Alright, I’ll resolve the issue right away!"

Hearing this from the manager, Lillian and Amy exchanged a look of triumph, feeling immensely satisfied, but before they could savor their joy for long, the smiles on their faces froze in the next second.

"Escort these two out, and make it quick!" The manager instructed the security to remove Amy and her daughter.

"Are you making a mistake? The one who should be kicked out is her!" Lillian and Amy were dumbfounded.

Manager: "No mistake, it’s you being kicked out!"

"Are you joking? We are Platinum customers, and you’re kicking us out?!"

The manager looked at them with the same ’foolish’ expression, "No one told you that Platinum is the lowest tier in The Apothecary Hall?"

What?!

Platinum is the lowest tier?!

In shock, Lillian and Amy couldn’t process this for a long time.

A million was already a significant sum for them; when they got this card, she felt like bleeding from the heart. Yet now, they were told Platinum was the lowest tier card—how could they accept that?!

The manager cautiously glanced at Serena’s expression, immediately addressing Amy and her daughter sternly, "From now on, you’re blacklisted from The Apothecary Hall, you can’t step foot here again!"

"What?!" Amy and Lillian panicked, "How can you just blacklist us like that?!"

They hadn’t even bought the scar-removing medicine yet, and with being blacklisted, how would they buy medicine when sick?

The manager didn’t even look at them, merely gesturing for security to escort them out, then respectfully bowed to Serena, "Please, come in."

With this scene unfolding, Amy and Lillian were so furious they nearly exploded, plunging into deep confusion.

Why is The Apothecary Hall’s manager treating Serena, that jinx, with such respect?!
