Aether Chronicles: Birth Of A Legend
Chapter 325: You're Different
Raegar watched as Sasha led him through the Sunfire Manor, his eyes dropped to her fat ass that jiggled, making his mouth water as the older woman glanced at him, blue eyes full of mischief. ''I heard what my neice said, yes I may be engaged but that's unwilling, my brother tends to make decisions without my input.''
''That's shit,'' he replied, shaking his head. ''I'd hate it if my parents arranged a marriage for me, I mean if they introduced me to a woman then I'd be fine but going behind my back? No thank you.''
When Sasha heard this her face lit up as she ushered him inside as she revealed. ''I've stopped drinking alcohol, it was taking its toll on me but I can whip up a delicious cup of hot chocolate?''
Raegar's red eyes widened at this news and he eargly agreed. ''Yes please.''
Following that, he sat down, taking out some dumplings he bought while with Nivara and offered some to the older woman. ''Do you like stall food? I found some lovely dumpling you should try?''
Sasha's blue eyes snapped to hot food sitting on the table in front of him, she licked her lips, muttering. ''That smells delicious, let me make us the drinks and I'll join you.''
''Aright,'' he replied.
Moments later, he sent out a pulse of Aether only to realize Alice and Nivara were just getting into the bath after getting undress. He stopped himself looking at the Dark Elf to not pry until the time was right. While doing that, the older woman brought him back to reality by leaning over the nearby sofa.
Her deep cleavage was on show causing his lust to spark as she gave him a big smile before speaking. ''Do you want it sweet?''
''Yes please,'' he answered, gulping while his eyes never left her tanned boobs.
'Fuck, this woman is bad for me,' Raegar thought, shocked at how interested he was in the Dukes sister.
After a few minutes, Sasha walked back over, carrying two cups as she placed one in front of him, explaining. ''Here we go, the cocoa beans are from the southern lands. Some of the best I could get in the empire.''
''I've heard their delicious but expensive and only reserved for the nobles,'' he said. ''Maybe I should start drinking this instead of sake, everyone thinks I'm a drunk now.''
The older woman giggled at this before her smile grew wider as she pulled out a bottle of the stuff from a storage ring. ''I loved the stuff but I was having the same problem as you, people moaned about it.''
''Idiots,'' Raegar replied as the duo laughed.
He sipped the hot chocolate, the rich, sweet warmth spreading through him, catching him by surprise. Sasha watched with anticipation, her eyes bright with curiosity. After a moment, he met her gaze and smiled. ''It's incredible, way better than sake.''
The silver-haired beauty's face lit up, her smile bright as she leaned closer, blue eyes sparkling with delight at his praise. ''You've got good taste,'' she teased.
She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, the motion drawing his attention to the curve of her neck. ''Not many appreciate the finer things like this.''
Raegar felt a spark, a surprising ease settling over him as he met her gaze. There was something about the older woman, her confidence, her wit, that made him feel alive, unguarded. He leaned forward, resting an elbow on the table, his grin turning roguish, making the older woman bite her bottom lip.
''Oh, I appreciate plenty of fine things,'' he said, his red eyes flicking over her before settling back on her face. ''Like a woman who knows her way around a hot chocolate and a conversation."
Sasha's laugh was low, her fingers brushing the rim of her mug as she tilted her head, studying him. ''Is that so? You're smoother than I expected.''
She shifted closer, her knee grazing his under the table, deliberate and teasing. ''Careful, though. Flirt with me too much, and I might forget I'm supposed to be a proper lady.''
''Proper?'' Raegar chuckled, popping a dumpling into his mouth and chewing thoughtfully before leaning in, his voice dropping. ''You don't strike me as the type, Sasha. More like the kind who makes her own rules.''
He winked, feeling a thrill at the way her eyes widened, her lips parting in a playful giggle. ''You're bold,'' she purred, her cleavage catching the firelight as she propped an elbow on the table, chin resting in her hand. ''I like that. Most men around here are too stiff, too afraid of my brother to say what they think.''
The older woman's gaze lingered on him, warm and inviting. ''But you, you're different.''
Raegar's heart sped up a notch, the air between them crackling. He took another sip of the hot chocolate, using the moment to gather his thoughts, but his eyes never left hers. ''Different's good,'' he smoothly. ''Means I get to keep up with someone like you.''
He reached for another dumpling, offering it to her with a grin. ''Try one. Bet I can guess your favorite filling by the look on your face.''
Sasha arched a brow, accepting the dumpling. ''Oh, you think you can read me that well already?'' she challenged, biting into the dumpling, her eyes locked on his.
She let out a soft hum of approval, her lips curving into a smile that sent heat coursing through him. ''Go on, then. Guess.''
He leaned back, pretending to study her with exaggerated intensity, though his pulse raced at her proximity. ''Spicy pork," he said confidently. ''You've got that fire in you.''
Sasha laughed, the sound bright and unguarded, and shook her head. ''Close, but it's mushroom and herb. You'll have to try harder next time, handsome.''
The older woman leaned even closer, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. ''But I'll give you a hint: I do like a little heat.''
Raegar grinned, the connection between them humming like a live wire. ''Noted,'' he said, tone matching hers. ''Guess I'll have to stick around and figure out what else you like.''
Sasha's eyes gleamed with mischief as she sipped her hot chocolate, leaving a faint trace of cocoa on her lips. ''Oh, I'm counting on it,'' she murmured, her smile promising more than just another cup of cocoa.
Her gorgeous blue eyes glinting with a daring edge as she slid closer, thigh pressing against his under the table. The warmth of her body was a quiet fire, matching the heat of the hot chocolate in his hands. She lifted her mug, lips brushing the rim, leaving a faint sheen of cocoa that Raegar couldn't tear his eyes from.
''You're trouble, aren't you?'' she said, a smirk crossing her face.
Raegar's pulse quickened, his own grin sharpening as he leaned in, closing the distance between them. ''Only the best kind,'' he shot back. He set his mug down, his fingers grazing hers, the brief touch sending a jolt through him. ''And you're not exactly playing it safe, sitting this close.''
Sasha's laugh was wicked, and she tilted her head, her dark hair spilling over one shoulder, catching the firelight. ''Safe's boring,'' she said, knee nudging his now, a slow pressure building between the duo.
She took a sip of her hot chocolate, her tongue darting out to catch a stray drop, and his throat tightened. ''Besides,'' she added, her voice dropping to a naughty whisper. ''I like the way you look at me.''
Raegar's red eyes darkened, a spark of hunger flaring as he held her gaze. ''Careful, Sasha,'' he said, his tone low and edged with challenge. ''Keep doing that, and I might forget we've just met.''
Moments later, his fingers brushed the back of her hand, lingering just long enough to feel the warmth of her skin, testing the waters which she didn't seem to be fussed about. Sasha didn't pull away. Instead, she turned her hand, her fingers curling lightly around his, her touch bold and electric.
''Who says I want you to remember?'' she teased, her blue eyes blazing with mischief and something deeper, something making his blood hum.
She leaned closer, her breath warm against his cheek as she murmured. ''You're not the only one who likes a little heat.''
The atmoshpere between them crackled. Raegar's free hand twitched, itching to slide along her arm, to pull her closer, but he held back, savoring the tension that got heavier with every second. He took a slow sip of his hot chocolate, the rich sweetness barely registering against the heat of her presence.
''You're making it real hard to behave,' he said, eyes locked on hers.
Sasha's lips curved into a smile that was equal parts challenge and invitation. ''Good,'' she whispered, her fingers tightening briefly around his before she leaned back, just enough to keep him wanting more.
Even the older woman could feel the instant connection as if they've known each others for years.
