CHAPTER 31: CHAPTER 31: TERMINATION IN PROGRESS, COERCION

Yuanyuan was tugged along, stumbling, "Sister Yun, Sister Yun."

"Don’t ask anything, don’t say anything, just do what you need to do later." Qin Yun whispered.

Yuanyuan wasn’t slow-witted; putting two and two together, she realized what Qin Yun was planning today. No wonder she’d behaved out of character the past couple of days, even daring to stand up to Sister Li. Immediately, she resolved not to hold Sister Yun back.

She said firmly, "Sister Yun, don’t worry! I’m always on your side."

"Noted." Qin Yun smiled, her beauty overwhelming as though she were glowing, leaving Yuanyuan standing frozen.

Qin Yun, in high heels and crisp attire, showed off her perfect figure, walking ahead as she waved back, "Wait for my good news."

Along with Lawyer Ji, Qin Yun took the elevator straight to the CEO’s office. She aimed for a swift resolution today.

If it came to a drawn-out battle, it would be very unfavorable for her.

After all, her contract was still with Emperor Entertainment. If Emperor refused to terminate the contract, they could manipulate her however they wanted.

The contract was ten years; either she paid to terminate it, was shelved, or exploited.

By the time ten years passed, she’d have missed a female star’s prime time.

In the CEO’s office, the secretary was reporting work. Hearing the door open, she turned and asked in surprise, "Qin Yun? What are you here for?"

Qin Yun nodded, "I have some matters to discuss with President Wu."

"President Wu, I’ll call you once you’ve signed these documents. I’ll step out first." The secretary placed the files on the desk and exited, closing the door behind her.

"What business do you have here?" President Wu glanced at them and asked.

"I am Ms. Qin’s representing lawyer. My surname is Ji; here is my business card." Lawyer Ji adjusted his glasses and handed his card to President Wu, speaking calmly.

"Qin Yun, what do you mean by this?" President Wu ignored Lawyer Ji, instead sharply eyeing Qin Yun.

"Please look at this first; let’s talk after you’ve seen it." Qin Yun placed a document in front of him.

Flipping through it, President Wu immediately stood up in a rage, slamming it on the table, "Qin Yun, what are you doing?"

"President Wu, let’s not beat around the bush. I think you know what I intend. No need for pretense." Qin Yun straightforwardly gathered the documents.

"This is the agreement you signed with my father—or rather, my ’sale contract.’ Five million for ten years, using the lowest share to buy a money-making tool."

Qin Yun gently placed two photocopies on the table, speaking lightly and slowly, "The signatures and stamps are clearly on the paper. I’m sure they’re not unfamiliar to you, President Wu? These are copies. If you need the originals, we’ll hand them over once we reach an agreement."

"This is the transaction detail under your wife’s name to my father. Your wife’s name, I trust, isn’t unfamiliar to you? Why would one transfer such a large amount to a stranger for no reason?" Qin Yun glanced at it before placing it in front of President Wu.

"And these are itineraries from my relentless business activities over the past two years, allowing only three to four hours of rest daily, fainting from exhaustion multiple times, and still shooting magazine covers with high fever, alongside the revenue I’ve generated for the company over these two years." She placed dozens of printed sheets before President Wu, with every schedule in full view.

"What I’ve earned for the company over these two years far exceeds the money you initially paid, despite having many black fans, my traffic and popularity have stayed high," Qin Yun laughed lightly, as though speaking of someone else.

"Qin Yun, you ungrateful wretch! The company painstakingly cultivated you and invested resources in you, and this is how you repay us?" President Wu shouted angrily.

"Hold on, I’m not finished. I’ve found there are quite a few in the company just like me."

Qin Yun placed several more documents, asking puzzledly, "President Wu, is Emperor Entertainment only capable of recruiting people this way?"

"Qin Yun! You! I’m telling you, I’m going to sue you for defamation!" President Wu’s face turned red with anger, pointing at Qin Yun and shouting.

"Mm-hmm, I heard you, and so did my lawyer." Qin Yun nodded calmly in acknowledgment.

"President Wu, all the evidence Ms. Qin presented was recorded under lawyer supervision. If there is defamation to be litigated, please contact me; my contact details are on your desk, at your service." Lawyer Ji pushed his glasses up, speaking rigorously.

"Who are you?! Where’s security?" President Wu said, intending to call for security.

"President Wu, I reckon you don’t want these matters getting out, do you?"

Qin Yun smiled, not stopping him from calling, but instead took out several photographs, waving them at President Wu before placing them on the table, "Perhaps you should look at these before deciding to call security? I found some interesting things during my investigation. I’m sure you’d find them intriguing."

President Wu looked down; upon seeing the photos Qin Yun had just placed, he panicked and wanted to tear them up, "Qin Yun, I’m telling you, you’re not only defaming but fabricating facts! I’ll see to it you spend the rest of your life in prison!!"

"If you’re going to sue, please contact my lawyer. Also, I have many more if you wish to tear them up; they’re all yours to destroy." Qin Yun said, placing another stack on the table.

These photos were different from the previous ones and even more explicit, with different people featured.

"Ah——"

Seeing them, President Wu immediately, with bloodshot eyes, tore them all up.

Then he slumped weakly in his leather chair, looking at Qin Yun with a frail expression, "What exactly do you want?"

"Don’t worry; I just want to peacefully terminate the contract. Once that’s achieved, none of these photos will reach your wife’s eyes." Qin Yun knowingly smiled.

As expected, she gambled correctly.

Although Emperor Entertainment was under President Wu’s name, he rose to power thanks to his wife, and at home, he might as well be lower than a dog.

His wife was notoriously strict in the circle, and he didn’t dare utter a word in her presence.

If she found out about his affairs and mistresses, he’d suffer dearly.

Hence his intense fear.

Terrified Qin Yun might spill to his wife.
