After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic
Chapter 342: Eruption!
CHAPTER 342: CHAPTER 342: ERUPTION!
Cora Ginger’s eyes widened immediately, and she asked, "What’s your relationship with Johan Niles?"
"He’s my brother."
Natalie Niles asked softly, "Has he caused you any trouble?"
"Well..."
"No, Doctor Niles is very nice."
Isabella Weaver chimed in, inviting Natalie Niles into the car to continue driving towards the Weaver Family’s home.
On the way, Cora Ginger glanced at Natalie Niles several times. Finally, she couldn’t help but ask, "I see you’re even slimmer than I am, and you’re so pretty. How did you become Isabella’s bodyguard?"
She felt a pang of jealousy inside. She used to think she was quite good-looking, but after entering the Royalton Club, any random lady there could easily overshadow her. The manager assigned her a part-time partner who was even more stunning, making her feel even more invisible.
She thought that not working at the club anymore would mean not struggling in a sea of beauties every day, but she didn’t expect this bodyguard to be so gorgeous!
Natalie Niles glanced at Isabella Weaver, smiling gently as she spoke, "I owe Young Master Hunter a favor, so here I am."
"Haha, I was also sent to Young Madam by Young Master Hunter, so we’re colleagues from now on! My name is Cora Ginger!"
Cora Ginger extended her hand to her.
Natalie Niles smiled and shook her hand, "Hello, Cora!"
Cora Ginger felt the thin calluses on her palm and finally thought that perhaps Natalie Niles wasn’t as delicate as she seemed.
Soon they arrived at the Weaver Family’s home, and the three of them got out of the car and walked towards the villa together.
Today was the weekend, and Christopher Weaver hadn’t gone to the company. He had invited a few business friends over to the villa as guests.
At this moment, the lunch had already finished, and they were having tea, discussing recent events both big and small. Rose Parker and a few ladies sat on the other side of the living room, elegantly sipping coffee and chatting softly.
When Isabella Weaver and her companions appeared in the living room, everyone was momentarily stunned, and Christopher Weaver’s face immediately darkened.
Isabella surveyed the people in the living room, but she didn’t recognize any of them.
Christopher used to invite people over every month, but he never let her appear in front of the guests—her illegitimate status was a disgrace.
Every time there were guests at home, it was the toughest time for her because she would be locked in a room, with no food or drink, and she couldn’t make a sound.
But now, she no longer had to be that pitiable little girl; she could stand in the sunlight!
"Mr. Weaver, your daughter has been missing, and you still have the heart to entertain guests for tea? It seems you don’t care about her well-being at all."
Everyone’s gaze instantly focused on Christopher Weaver’s face. They were all puzzled about why they hadn’t seen the Weaver’s precious daughter this time; it turned out she was missing?
Christopher stood up, his face cold, and said, "What are you doing here? Get out! This isn’t the time for your nonsense!"
"I indeed didn’t have the power to make a fuss before. As a child, my life was in your hands, and I didn’t dare to rebel. Now, Christopher, your life is in my hands!"
As Isabella said this, she casually picked up a vase and smashed it on the rosewood table where Christopher was having tea.
With a loud "bang," the vase shattered into pieces, the teapot and cups on the table also burst apart, shards of porcelain flying everywhere, causing a wave of panic and screams!
No one expected her to suddenly explode!
Christopher was both shocked and angry, shouting, "Have you gone insane? Your mind is becoming more and more unstable! Get out! Get out now, and never set foot in here again!"
