CHAPTER 86: CHAPTER 86 SCHOOL CLOSURE

Harry Hunter took the ring and slipped it onto Isabella Weaver’s ring finger: "You’re not allowed to take it off anymore. A married woman should look like she’s married. You’re too beautiful, wearing this can keep the wolves away."

Isabella Weaver couldn’t help but burst into laughter. How could a ring keep the wolves away?

But he said she was beautiful...

Suddenly, Isabella Weaver was in a good mood.

Harry Hunter gently lifted her chin, making her face him, and removed the band-aid from her forehead.

"Does it still hurt?"

Isabella Weaver shook her head: "No, it doesn’t hurt."

She had forgotten about the wound on her head all day. Everyone she met today, whether it was her roommate, Milo Field, or the people at the gallery, no one asked about her forehead.

But he remembered.

Isabella Weaver felt a twinge in her nose.

A new band-aid was put on her forehead, followed by a gentle kiss: "Goodnight."

The kiss was so quick that Isabella Weaver didn’t have time to pull away.

She watched Harry Hunter walk out, close the door, and then reached up to touch her forehead.

...

A night passed, and in the morning, a light spring rain began to fall outside.

After freshening up, Isabella Weaver went to the living room and didn’t see Harry Hunter, only Connor smiling at her.

"Young Madam, the Young Master has gone to the office. He’ll be very busy these days, so I’m afraid you’ll have to have breakfast alone."

How was this considered a hardship? Isabella Weaver felt more at ease eating without Harry Hunter around.

But Harry Hunter had a company?

Before, she saw him drinking with friends at clubs until dawn every day and assumed he didn’t have much work!

After breakfast, Isabella Weaver carried her bag, and Connor drove her to the small gallery from yesterday.

The gallery owner was fixing the password lock. When he arrived this morning, he found the lock had been tampered with, and the surveillance was broken, but nothing was missing. He was puzzled.

Isabella Weaver greeted the owner and went into the small studio from yesterday to continue drawing.

She came out for a quick meal at noon and then went back to drawing.

She worked until evening, then sent her three favorite designs to the organizers of the jewelry competition.

Afterward, she drove around and found a nearby guesthouse to stay in.

This area was remote, relatively cheaper than the city center, with a good environment and very quiet.

Most importantly, Christopher Weaver would have a hard time finding her.

The rain continued to fall, bringing a bone-chilling cold. Isabella Weaver wore a black hooded coat, wrapping herself tightly except for her eyes, and went to the university.

She had borrowed notes from other students and books from the library and came specifically to return them.

Yet, the university gates were closed, and there wasn’t a single student in sight!

Where was everyone?

What was going on? The winter break had just ended, and the semester had only just begun. It shouldn’t be vacation time again!

Isabella Weaver stood outside the university gate, feeling like the bustling school from yesterday was only a figment of her imagination.

Filled with doubts, she returned to her car, opened her phone, and logged onto the school forum.

The forum had exploded, filled with cries of despair:

"Help, I’ve only been enrolled for half a year, why is the school closing down? Did I attend a fake university?"

"The school isn’t closed, it’s been shut down! Apparently there are serious management issues and they’re being sorted out!"

"Isn’t our school’s backing strong? How could it be shut down? I haven’t even finished my experiment and was just forced out!"

"I think it’s great! No classes, it’s awesome being on break!"
