CHAPTER 261: CHAPTER 261: BEFORE THE CONSPIRACY
"Morning, brother~" As soon as he stepped out of the room, Bi Xia was greeted by a flying hug from Bi Xiaoyuan. Laughing, he picked up Bi Xiaoyuan and leaned against the door frame, squinting his sleepy eyes.
Bi Xia held Bi Xiaoyuan and chuckled, "Morning, Little Bun."
Suddenly, Bi Xiaoyuan wrapped his arms around Bi Xia’s neck and whispered in his ear, "Brother, did you go out last night?"
Bi Xia lazily opened one eye and whispered back, "Mom didn’t notice, did she?"
Bi Xiaoyuan carefully glanced at Xia Shi in the kitchen, then shook his head at Bi Xia and whispered with a smile, "No, after you left, I checked on mom. She wasn’t awake."
Raising an eyebrow as he looked at Bi Xiaoyuan, Bi Xia lifted a hand to pinch his little cheeks, "Wow, our Little Bun is so clever. All that doting on you wasn’t for nothing."
"Brother, you shouldn’t go out so late next time. It’s not safe," Bi Xiaoyuan said seriously.
Bi Xia saluted with one hand, "Roger that."
"What are you two brothers being all cozy about so early in the morning?" Xia Shi walked out of the kitchen, and the Bi brothers seamlessly changed the topic.
Bi Xiaoyuan tilted his head as he looked at Bi Xia, and then turned to Xia Shi who had come up to them, "Mom, can you help Yuanyuan with something?"
Smiling, Xia Shi looked at Bi Xiaoyuan, "Oh? What help do you need?"
"Mom, can you wet the face towel for Yuanyuan?" Bi Xiaoyuan asked with a squinty smile.
"Of course." Though not sure what Bi Xiaoyuan was up to, Xia Shi agreed with a smile, seeing how well-behaved he was.
Handing the towel to Bi Xiaoyuan, she lifted her hand to ruffle Bi Xia’s hair, still leaning against the door frame with half-closed eyes, "Why not sleep a bit more if you’re still sleepy?"
Bi Xia grunted in reply and lazily said, "The smell of food woke me up. I’ll eat first, then sleep."
Xia Shi was used to her daughter being a foodie, but the fact that Bi Xia loved her cooking gave Xia Shi a sense of fulfillment each time.
Just as Bi Xia was about to open his eyes, he suddenly felt a wet, soft, cool sensation on his face—it was quite comfortable.
Opening his eyes, he saw Little Bun holding a small towel, seriously wiping his face while hugging his neck.
Amused, Xia Shi looked at Bi Xiaoyuan, "Yuanyuan, why are you wiping your brother’s face? He’s going back to sleep again soon."
But Bi Xiaoyuan responded earnestly, "Brother just got up. I’m wiping his face so he doesn’t have to wash it."
Seeing Bi Xiaoyuan’s serious expression, Bi Xia smiled and kissed him, letting Bi Xiaoyuan finish wiping his face. Afterward, he carried Bi Xiaoyuan to put the towel back in the bathroom before returning to the dining table.
Sitting on the chair, Bi Xiaoyuan sat on Bi Xia’s lap, clinging to his waist despite Xia Shi’s attempts to reason with him.
Helplessly, Xia Shi looked at Bi Xiaoyuan, "Really, Xiaxia, don’t spoil him so much. He’s getting more and more attached as he grows!"
Bi Xia waved his hand with a smile, "I only have one brother. If I don’t spoil him, who will?"
Bi Xiaoyuan’s eyes lit up at this, and he burrowed into Bi Xia’s arms, his little face beaming.
"By the way, I haven’t asked yet, why did you get up so early?" Bi Xia asked Xia Shi while picking up a fried dough stick she had made and sipping on the porridge.
With a sigh, Xia Shi hesitated before saying, "We’re going to your grandmother’s place."
"Why are we going there?" Bi Xia asked nonchalantly.
Xia Shi glanced at Bi Xia, "I heard there’s some trouble at your uncle’s factory. That factory was initially opened by your dad and him together, so I have to go and check it out."
