Most people understand this, which is why, even though they wished for General Layton Lewis to find a guide with a high matching rate, they didn’t voice any dissatisfaction.

"Well, I can’t really blame them either; for them, your strength can’t be matched by anyone. That’s why they all couldn’t believe that there would be someone who could have a high compatibility rate with you," Ryzel said as a matter of fact.

"They are underestimating you too much. You are already strong enough in your own way. Even if no one believed it, it happened anyway. You and I have a very high compatibility rate," Layton said seriously.

"Yes, that’s why, looking at other people who are enthusiastically betting what our compatibility rate could be, I also want to participate and earn some pocket money," Ryzel said.

Ryzel used all his money to buy different ingredients to make different potions he might use. The star coins he had were only enough as an allowance for a week. He didn’t leave a lot of star coins because he thought he would already be deported yesterday.

Star coins don’t have much value on the fringe stars because there are almost no stores at the fringe stars, especially in places very near the battlefield.

According to Lyre’s brother, the stores on the fringe don’t sell much, and their prices are ten or fifteen times higher compared to other places. So, he used his savings to buy herbs that could be more useful for himself.

Now that he only has a few star coins left, participating in the betting was very enticing for him. Once he bet high, he was sure that he could earn a lot of pocket money because no one was even betting higher than the 75% match rate.

He knew he could win, so participating in the bet was really a good way to earn some star coins.

"Then what is this amount on my account?" Ryzel asked.

"Those are half of my salaries throughout the years of my service in the military. Every month, starting this month, half of my salary would automatically be sent to your account," Layton Lewis explained.

"Huh? General Layton, you actually don’t have to do this. After getting my inheritance, I would have my own money to spend."

"You are my partner, so it is only proper for you to receive half of my salary.

I only sent you half of my salary. I didn’t even send you the property list and the shares from different businesses operated by our family.

I will send it to you later on after processing them," Layton said seriously.

"No need to give it to me; you already gave me a lot with just your salary alone. I can’t even spend all of it," Ryzel said.

Even though he married Layton Lewis, he can’t just take the other person’s money. Layton Lewis already gave him half of his salary, so he didn’t really need to receive more.

"You’re my partner, so of course you need to have them. Even if you don’t have a use for them, you still need to receive what you ought to have."

Ryzel couldn’t think of anything to persuade Layton Lewis, so he just stayed silent.

"No need to worry about other matters. Just receive what you ought to have," Layton Lewis added, seeing him being silent.

"Okay," Ryzel nodded, even though he was still thinking about how he suddenly receives a lot of money.

Just a while ago his star card didn’t have enough star coins to buy him food for a week. Now looking at his card he won’t run out of money anytime soon.

"If you need more money, just tell me, I can send you more," Layton Lewis added.

"No need. I don’t even think I can spend all of this."

As soon as he heard what Layton said he immediately denied it.

Layton Lewis already gave enough money to him. He would also be graduating in a couple of months so afterwards he would also be earning his own money aside from the money he would get from his inheritance.

"So, are you still going to bet?" Layton Lewis asked, wanting to divert Ryzel’s attention to something else, which is very effective.

"Of course I will still bet. Now that I have more money, I will bet more to have more returns two days later. Why don’t you also bet?" Ryzel said with a smile.

"No need. You can join the fun yourself."

Hearing Layton Lewis’ reply, he joined the betting game with the netizens. He bet a huge amount for his compatibility rate with Layton Lewis to exceed 90%. Now he only needed to wait for two days to have more money in his account.

Looking at his star card account, which suddenly has several hundred-million-star coins, he doesn’t know what to use them for.

Ryzel only knew that he could buy more expensive ingredients that he didn’t dare to buy because they were too expensive. He could research more on high-priced ingredients after having too much money to spend.

In his previous apartment, he set up a mini laboratory for him to conduct simple experiments that were allowed to be done outside the school premises without the supervision of the lab AI or the professors.

He set up his mini laboratory at his previous apartment to continue doing some research in his free time. He enjoyed making potions; that’s why he considered it one of his hobbies.

Ryzel needed to have a laboratory in this house if he continued living here because he couldn’t part ways with his potions.

"General Layton, can I set up a laboratory here?" Ryzel immediately asked.

"Yes, I can help you with that. We can set your laboratory in the first basement. What else do you need?"

"I only need to have my own laboratory here so that I can still make potion and do some research. What is in the first basement?" Ryzel asked to see if he could really use it as his laboratory.

"The first basement is currently empty, as I still haven’t decided what to put in it. So, you can use the whole space to set up your laboratory."
