CHAPTER 49: CHAPTER 48: TOUR AROUND THE CAPITAL STAR 5

"Hey! Ry! I know that you are thinking that a wedding is just one of the things you find to be bothersome. But remember it is your wedding so you should put more effort in it. It just happens once in a lifetime! I can even help you with it so you should better correct your attitude about it!" Lyre nagged while looking at him with disapproval.

Ryzel nodded and said, "I understand"

"You better be. Now that we are talking about your wedding it would be better to prepare early. Let’s start doing our planning for today," Lyre said cheerfully.

"Yes, we should indeed start planning as the adjutant and friend of Lewis. I’m sure I would also be involved in planning his wedding. So it is indeed good to start planning the wedding while we are going to our destinations," Mervin readily agreed with Lyre’s proposal.

"Ryzel, what type of wedding do you want to have?" Layton Lewis asked.

"I’m not really sure,"

"Please think about it carefully. I at least want to give you an unforgettable wedding as our marriage was too hasty." Layton Lewis said.

Ryzel looked at Layton Lewis and saw how serious he was. He saw how serious Layton Lewis was so he also doesn’t want to reply half-heartedly. Even though he really wasn’t interested in it, Ryzel doesn’t want to let others’ effort be in vain because of him.

Ryzel began thinking about what type of wedding he wanted to have but he doesn’t really have a lot of reference about weddings as he wasn’t really interested in them.

"Lyre, what type of weddings are there?"

"Oh, I know you are going to ask, that’s why I already searched it online. Look at these, there are a lot of different types of weddings you can use as a reference," Lyre said while sharing his light brain screed with Ryzel.

Ryzel looked at the light screen showing different styles of weddings. There are beach weddings, underwater weddings, ancient weddings, regular weddings, mecha weddings, universal weddings, forest weddings, spring weddings, winter weddings, and many more. There are a lot more types of weddings but Ryzel wasn’t interested in looking at all of them.

"Let’s just have a regular wedding held in your estate, is that possible?" Ryzel said.

He doesn’t want too much hassle on his wedding but he also knew that as the marriage of the general nicknamed war of god their wedding can’t be too simple.

Ryzel was sure that a lot of dignitaries would surely be the one attending the wedding as guests as they are the ones Layton Lewis are working with. Layton Lewis is also the son of the current Marshal of the federation so having a very simple wedding can’t be possible. So Ryzel just chose the simplest one among all the types of weddings he saw online.

"Of course we can do that but are you sure of having a regular wedding?" Layton Lewis said.

"Yes, I’m sure," Ryzel replied strongly to show how serious he is.

Even though he understands that it is his wedding, he doesn’t want to spend too much time preparing for it. For him it is not really important to hold a wedding as he already understands that he would be spending his life together with Lyton Lewis as long as there are no accidents.

The wedding is just another formality for the sake of other people’s recognition which he thinks was unnecessary. However his partner is a general of the federation so it can be said that a marriage is a necessity for them.

Ryzel also understands that holding a wedding is a form of recognition for himself. If they don’t hold a wedding there would be rumors spreading that he doesn’t want his marriage partner.

In the high circle it is necessary to have a wedding to emphasize the status of those that would be marrying. If a sentinel and guide it would mean that the sentinel doesn’t care about his guide at all. To other people it would mean that the guide who just married wouldn’t have that much power in his hands in the future.

Marriage of affluent people was really a hassle. They would need to arrange and consider a lot of things before all the things can be settled. The things they do and say have a lot of hidden meanings, they can’t just do a lot of things without consideration.

Ryzel’s family is also considered to be from one of the affluent families so he could still understand the intricacies within it. If only he didn’t need someone strong enough to be able to fight the Heins family he wouldn’t need to marry someone so powerful.

If only he could have a chance to choose and if he didn’t awaken as a guide he would choose to live his life in a faraway place to avoid all the hassles in life and concentrate on his research.

Unfortunately he didn’t have the initiative to choose so he could only adapt to it and try to achieve what he wanted even though his choices were limited because of his circumstances.

He knew that Layton Lewis was also trying to help him. That’s why he arranged an official wedding so he didn’t want to refuse anymore and just lessened the preparations for it.

"Ok, a regular wedding it is. Then let’s decide on the color of your wedding. What color do you want to wear Ry?" Lyre asked.

Lyre already realized that it would be pointless to ask Layton Lewis a question because he would always base his answer on what Ryzel wants. So it is better to just get the answer from Ryzel himself.

"I want to wear blue,"Ryzel answered.

"Then the main color for your wedding would be blue?" Lyre asked again for confirmation.

Both Ryzel and Layton Lewis nodded.

"When is the end of your leave this time Lewis?" Mervin asked.

"My leave will end in a month."

"Oh then your wedding would probably be near the end of your leave." Mervin said while nodding to himself.

"Yes the wedding should be near the end of my leave of absence." Layton Lewis agreed.

"Oh you have a very long leave of absence?" Ryzel asked.

"My leave of absence just accumulated a lot that’s why I can immediately apply for a leave of absence. Besides, the marriage leave of absence in the army is three weeks." Layton Lewis explained.

"Actually Lewis accumulated a lot more leave of absences but he is only using a few now. But if you wanted to have him take a leave of absence he could even take a leave for a year but of course he couldn’t do that because no one can replace him on the battlefield," Mervin added.

Ryzel nodded to acknowledge what Mervin said.

Layton Lewis might have always been continuously working for him to accumulate a lot of leave of abstinence. Well Ryzel always heard his name in all the important battles that took place in the frontlines so Ryzel could still understand that he has always been very busy.

"I see, then-"

Lyre was about to speak but was cut off by the sound of the main brain.

"Hello masters, the aircraft you are following is about to disappear. We are also near your first destination,"

Hearing that they are nearly at the place of their first destination Ryzel stood up and went near the window to help and see what is your recollection.

Ryzel wanted to see what their first destination was like so he went near the window. Lyre also followed him up.

Ryzel saw that their first destination was the floating gardens outside the capital. Seeing it from above is truly amazing. The garden was stretched to more than a hectare wide. It was filled with different flowers all around with different meanings.

The garden was filled with different colors divided in seven directions and flowers with different colors divided into seven directions. One direction was full of flowers of only violet in color and the others were also divided into a single color in different directions.

It is truly a beautiful sight no matter how many times Ryzel has seen it. The floating gardens were only located outside of the capital so Ryzel has already seen it many times. But everytime he sees it he is still amazed by the beauty they are presenting.

The arrangement of flowers always changes every time the season changes. Sometimes they form character designs, sometimes the flowers are just planted wherever they grow. So every few months people could still see many people willing to come anytime.

For now, the garden was divided into different colors and next time the arrangement would surely be different again. The garden arrangement was always changing, that’s why it was always popular. The capital always maintained the floating gardens as it was one of the famous places to visit before going inside.
