CHAPTER 57: CHAPTER 56: GUIDING LAYTON LEWIS

"I can’t do anything about that, as we don’t really know what the criteria of showing the symbol is. Don’t worry even if your quantum beast isn’t imposing, at least it is very cute," Layton Lewis said with a smile.

"Yes, it is very cute but I want it to be at least a little bit imposing," Ryzel said.

"We can’t do anything about it, as it is already placed. Anyway it looks good," Layton Lewis said in a satisfied voice.

Seeing how satisfied he was, Ryzel didn’t say anything more and just continued to eat.

After eating they rested for a little bit and went back to the bedroom for him to check Layton Lewis’ mental sea.

"Layton, how long has your mental sea been in such a terrible state?" Ryzel asked as soon as they arrived at their bedroom.

"My mental sea has been like this for years. My mental sea started to be in its downward state when we first met.

After that my condition didn’t improve but further deteriorated to this state where my quantum beast can’t even show up because it was busy fighting in my mental sea," Layton Lewis explained.

"What! Your mental sea already deteriorated to such a state years ago! Wow! You’re really amazing, deserving the title god of war! You survived until now with sheer perseverance! You’re really amazing!" Ryzel praised Layton Lewis unreservedly.

Layton Lewis doesn’t need pity. He survived for years while fighting with only his quantum beast. He doesn’t need to be pitied with all the things he suffered. He was a strong individual so what he needed was sincere praise for all his effort and perseverance.

Layton Lewis smiled and said, "Thanks to you, my mental sea was now calm for the first time in years.

It’s my first time experiencing such a calm state ever since my mental sea was heavily polluted.

Your mental power has helped me calm down my mental sea.

Now your mental power is maintaining the peace of my mental sea with the help of the mental lock we have established."

"Don’t worry, with me here I will surely bring back your mental sea in its proper state," Ryzel said confidently.

"Thank you in advance," Layton Lewis said.

"Ok. Let me see your mental sea," Ryzel said.

He touched Layton Lewis temple to facilitate the flow of his mental power.

With the flow of his mental power to Lewis’ mental sea he saw that it was very different from last night.

Layton Lewis’ mental sea was really calm compared to what he saw last night.

The waves weren’t surging, there were no more storms and the pollution around his mental sea was now standing still. He could feel his mental power restraining the pollutants from moving around and aggravating the mental sea of Layton Lewis.

At least he could now see the structure of Layton’s Lewis mental sea. His title as the strongest isn’t really for show, Ryzel can’t even see the end of his mental sea where he is standing.

It can be said that the bigger the mental sea of a guide and a sentinel mean the stronger they are and the higher their mental level is.

Ryzel didn’t stay in the place he is and directed his mental power to the center of Layton Lewis’s mental sea.

If he wanted to clean Layton Lewis’ mental sea he needed to begin at the center of his mental sea.

As soon as he arrived at the center of Layton Lewis’ mental sea he saw a large forest with Layton Lewis’ quantum beast lying at the center.

The tiger was resting on the ground with its eyes closed. It seems that Layton Lewis’ quantum beast was taking his time resting as he could finally rest. Ryzel could still see how wounded the tiger is but at least it isn’t bleeding anymore like he saw last night.

The tiger was still covered with wounds but at least it could finally rest and didn’t need to keep fighting.

Ryzel approached Layton Lewis’ quantum beast; he planned to heal it first.

A quantum beast is different from live animals. For live animals they needed real treatment and received medicines for their wounds. As for quantum beasts they could heal themselves as soon as they finally have a supply of mental power.

They could recover with the help of mental powers from their owners. Unfortunately the mental power of Layton Lewis was severely polluted. That’s why even though the tiger was in Layton Lewis’ mental sea it was healing his wounds very slowly.

As the guide of Layton Lewis he could heal the quantum beast of Layton Lewis as they already established a mental lock which means his quantum beast can receive his mental power as they are already connected with each other.

He touched the tiger and saw it open its eyes and looked at him for a moment before closing its eyes again.

He urged his mental power and directed it to Layton Lewis’ quantum beast.

With his mental power flowing to the tiger he could see that its wounds are healing at a fast rate. Its wounds closed as soon as it received his mental power.

He continuously provided mental power to Layton Lewis quantum beast until he felt that it didn’t need it anymore.

It really deserved to be the quantum beast of Layton Lewis, just healing it consumed one third of his mental power.

After healing it, he could see it become energetic because as soon as it opened its eyes it started circling him.

He touched it on its head and started heading out of Layton Lewis’ mind.

He needed to take a rejuvenation potion so that he could start cleaning the pollution in Layton Lewis’ mind.

As soon as he was out of Layton Lewis’ mental sea, he stumbled a little bit.

Layton Lewis immediately supported him and asked worriedly, "Ryzel, how are you?"

"I’m alright, I just suddenly used my mental power and was drained immediately," Ryzel answered while taking out a rejuvenation potion out of his space bracelet.

As soon as he drank the potion he felt his mental power returning faster.

"Then, you need to rest immediately," Layton Lewis said worriedly.

"No, I just need 30 minutes. I need to clean the center of your mental sea. Even if I can’t clean it all I need to clean a part of it today,"

"Why don’t you continue cleaning it tomorrow?" Lewis said.

"No. I need to clean it now. You know I need to clean it now so that your quantum beast won’t be affected by pollution again," Ryzel said while looking at Layton Lewis.

He knew Layton Lewis knew what happened inside his mental sea because he could also observe what he was doing as long as he concentrated a little bit.

He is the owner of the mental sea so he should have felt the state of his quantum beast better than himself.

Layton Lewis’ quantum beast needed time to rejuvenate. Even though he healed it already, it still needed time to recover from the years of continuous fighting. The quantum beast needed a space for it to fully recover.

Layton Lewis’ mental sea was all polluted so he needed to clean a space for his quantum beast to stay.

If he didn’t do it today some of his effort would just be wasted because Layton Lewis’ quantum beast would surely be affected by the pollutants around itself.

It means he needed to provide some of his mental power to the quantum beast again to stabilize it.

"I’m just worried. Are you really all right? This is your first time using most of your mental strength right?

"I’m alright even if it is my first time. I already felt fine after drinking the rejuvenation potion," Ryzel answered.

He knew Layton Lewis was worried about himself because some of the guides who experience expending most of their mental power would become sick for a long time.

They aren’t accustomed to the sudden loss of their mental power which causes some adverse reaction through their bodies.

Thankfully, he wasn’t like some of those guides. He was feeling a bit tired but it is bearable the rejuvenation potion was also working properly he could feel his mental power filling up.

"If you are really feeling okay. Then just rest for an hour before continuing again," Layton said.

"Okay," Ryzel agreed. He knew that Layton Lewis was worried about him so it is better for him to compromise a bit.

After using the rejuvenation potion he just needed 30 minutes before he could continue cleaning Layton Lewis mental sea.

He didn’t want to let Layton Lewis worry about himself so it is better to just wait for an hour before resuming.

"Oh right Layton I forgot to ask a while ago, what is the name of your quantum beast?" Ryzel asked.

He forgot to ask the name of Layton Lewis quantum beast before entering his mental sea.
