After Breaking Up, I Married the General
Chapter 69 - 68: Virtual Meeting with Lyre
CHAPTER 69: CHAPTER 68: VIRTUAL MEETING WITH LYRE
"So, a 2S level guide is very important for the federation as it was always lacking with higher level guides."
With what Layton Lewis said he could finally understand why guides with 2S mental power were very important to the federation.
Compared to the number of high-level sentinels the number of high-level guides were very few. There weren’t a lot of S level guides to begin with so they might be doing a lot of work for the sentinels with 2S mental power.
According to Layton Lewis the highest level of most sentinel is 2S, basically those with high position in the army were all 2S. And because of the low number of high-level guides most of them aren’t even married.
The survival rate of sentinels with a higher level were actually lower than those that have lower level because of the lack of guides.
Sentinels with higher level means they receive more from their senses which means it is easier to be overcome by their surroundings. They are indeed stronger but they are also more sensitive to pollutants.
The numbers of guides are already very small and most of them have low mental power. So the sentinels they could guide were also those with the same level as them.
The higher-level sentinel would have a lower chance of being guided because of their numbers. Most of the high level sentinels rely on potions to survive but there’s still a limit to it.
They still needed to be guided to at least cleanse some area of their mental sea because there are still no potions made to be able to clean the pollutants in a sentinel’s mind.
With very few guides who are paired with 2S sentinels, the chances of the 2S Sentinels being guided is very low.
The few guides who were paired with 2S level sentinels should be very busy guiding 2S level sentinels as they are the only ones who could lower the pollutants in their mental sea together with the guides who could do group guiding.
It seems that guides who could do group guiding were also very popular because they could do guiding regardless of mental power level.
They could guide different sentinels with different levels; it’s just that the effect would be lower the higher the mental power of the sentinels are.
Ryzel could finally understand why all legions would compete for a guide that could do group guiding because group guiding isn’t only good for emergencies. It can also help higher level sentinels sort out their mental sea.
Even if the effect is minimal at least it could be accumulated. If they experience group guiding everyday, it will still have a significant effect when they were guided for a very long time.
"What about you, Layton? Have you tried being guided by guides with 2S level partners and group guiding?"
Ryzel wanted to know the effect of other guides to Layton Lewis to measure what he could exactly do.
"Guides with 2S level partners have no effect on me as my mental power is already 3S. My mother even tried it when my mental power was only 2S but her mental power was just being swallowed by my mental sea.
It was the same with group guiding, because my level is very high it doesn’t have any effect on me," Layton Lewis explained.
"Then you have only been using potions?"
"Yes, I have only been using potions. However the effects of potions are getting lower and lower. Some potions don’t even have an effect on me anymore."
"No wonder your mental state is very terrible," Ryzel said while looking at Layton Lewis.
It seems that the mental power of Layton Lewis was very high which is why he wasn’t able to receive any treatment from others leading to his current terrible mental state. If he was guided even a little his mental sea shouldn’t have been so terrible.
After waiting for a while, the food they ordered finally arrived. As expected their food really suits Ryzel’s tastes. They ate quickly and went home afterwards.
Ryzel rested for a bit because he planned to continue decorating the house. The house is already painted so what he needed to do was just to put up the things he bought for the house to look good and be more livable.
As he was resting on the sofa, he received a call from Lyre.
He already set his light brain to only show notifications and ring when he was called by the people on his special list.
He made a special list for all the contacts he wanted to receive calls from and their calls would always be prioritized compared with others.
"Hello, Lyre? What is it?" Ryzel asked while still relaxing on the sofa.
"Hey, Ry? Have you seen the trending topics online?"
"Yes, of course, they are all talking about my compatibility right?"
"Yes, they are all talking about it.
All of them didn’t even consider you having a high compatibility rate with General Lewis. Now they are all saying sorry that they have underestimated you and they are all celebrating.
Even my parents here are actually very glad that General Lewis has a high matching rate with you.
By the way Ry, when I saw the betting about your rating online I poured all my savings into betting that your compatibility rate with Layton Lewis was higher than 90% .
I even asked my dad for additional pocket money and bete all of it. My money grew 15 times, do you want to get a percentage of it as you are the one they were talking about?"
"No need, you can keep those yourself because I also participated in the betting and bet for myself,"Ryzel said.
"Oh, that’s nice, it seems that both of us thought of the same way to get more pocket money.
But shouldn’t you have your pocket money from General Lewis" Lyre asked.
"Yes, of course. I already received all my shares from his past salaries and would continue receiving it. So I don’t need you to give me some of your winnings."
"Wow, then you should treat me this time, let’s go shopping!" Lyre said with shining eyes.
"Yes, I can treat you but can we just go shopping virtually?" Ryzel suggested.
Ryzel was willing to treat Lyre as he was the one who always helped him, he even stayed late with him just to help him.
Now that he has money, he could still treat Lyre and buy some things.
Ryzel knew that one of Lyre’s hobbies is clothing so they would surely spend a lot of time looking for clothes and trying them out.
They would surely spend hours just shopping so Ryzel suggested doing it virtually.
He was already tired from going out, he would surely be drained after going out with Lyre again, so it is better to do it virtually.
"Well that’s okay. But why do you want to shop virtually? Isn’t it better to shop in the real world?" Lyre asked.
Ryzel actually doesn’t care whether he shops online, virtually, or in the real world. But he knew Lyre always liked shopping in person as he could really touch the fabric in reality.
"Well, I’m already tired because we just went to the military headquarters a while ago and I was even irritated because I met the two scums who caused a lot of hardships for me this month," Ryzel mentioned.
"What!, you met those two bastards! What happened?" Lyre asked.
Lyre looked very focused, Ryzel knew that he was focused mainly because he could get some new information and partly because he was worried about him.
"They are asking me to go back to see my so-called relatives."
"You didn’t agree, did you?"
"Of course, I didn’t. Why should I even agree to meet those kinds of relatives?"
"Then, what else happened?"
"Well I always ignored Sean when he continued to act right? This time I didn’t tolerate him and he seemed so shocked that he couldn’t even respond."
"You always ignored him, even though he always smears dirt on your image. You trashed him this time right?" Lyre eagerly asked.
"What trashed? That’s too much. I just exposed his fakeness as he loved to act very much. I also criticized his language ability as he always loved tweaking his words to convey different meanings. And just with that, he can’t even say a comeback line."
"He always acted as a white lotus bitch, so of course he can’t say such harsh things.
He always had people around him saying the cruel words out of his mouth so of course he can’t say a comeback.
He was not with his usual lackeys so no one could say harsh words for him.
He might have forgotten that he doesn’t have anyone around so he didn’t even defend himself.
Ha ha ha," Lyre laughed out loud. He must have been amused by the situation.
Thinking about it, Lyre’s words were indeed correct.
