CHAPTER 616: CHAPTER 383: _3
Tang Xi said, "I’ve discussed it with the current director, and I believe that what suits Fu’s development better is strengthening our high-end line, which Fu’s is doing well at now. I’m just starting and won’t directly enter the high-end market straight away. It’s beneficial for both sides if Fu’s collaborates strongly with Nius."
"Nius is yours; it’s something I’ve set aside for you as a mother." Shen Qinglin has an agreement in her drawer that she had prepared for Tang Xi, willing to give all she had to her daughter, her only child.
While speaking, Shen Qinglin took out the shareholding agreement from the drawer, hoping that Tang Xi would sign it.
Tang Xi glanced at it, "Mom... I think that Mai En is more suitable for Nius."
"She has her shares; this portion is yours," Shen Qinglin said. "She’s been with me for many years and will be my future daughter-in-law; she will get what she deserves. But these are yours and yours alone."
Tang Xi nodded and signed her name, "I understand, Mom."
Tang Xi spent over an hour in Shen Qinglin’s office, with mother and daughter casually chatting with each other.
Shen Qinglin, in her everyday life, is actually not a gentle person. The strong tactics, meticulous mind, and sharp business acumen are all indispensable for her to have come this far.
She is also someone who cannot tolerate any flaws.
Even though she occasionally visits the Shu Family, she never identifies herself as Shu Jingli; she only calls herself Shen Qinglin.
She has never called Shu Chong’an "father," but she often goes to visit him.
However, with Tang Xi, she unreservedly shows her softest side.
Upon learning that Tang Xi wanted to establish her own jewelry brand, she shared many experiences with her.
After work, Shen Qinglin and Tang Xi prepared to go out to eat together.
When the two walked out of the office, they saw that Xu Yiran had also arrived.
Mai En said, "Yiran has been here for over an hour. Knowing you were chatting, he didn’t interrupt."
Tang Xi said, "We’re family; there’s no such thing as interruption. If Yiran came, you should have let us know."
Shen Qinglin nodded, "That’s right, enough said. Since he’s here, let’s all go to have dinner together. I’ve booked a place at Tianxiang Pavilion; it’s been a long time since I went to that restaurant. Let’s go there as a family, have a meal, and chat for a bit."
-
The private room on the third floor of Tianxiang Pavilion.
The lighting was warm yellow, carrying the warmth of home.
A few people ordered the restaurant’s signature dishes; they tasted good and were like home-cooked meals.
Upon hearing that Tang Xi was planning to resign and start her own jewelry brand, Mai En rested her chin on her hands, "That’s great; I support you. What’s the name of the brand? Have you decided? When are you planning to launch? I’ll order a floral basket for you when it’s time."
"Um... I’ve thought of several backup names, but the one I’ve settled on now is ’Sheng Xing.’ The commercial property is rented, and we’re starting next month."
"That’s a nice name. Have you discussed it with Fu?"
Tang Xi took a sip of her juice, "Mm, Fu Tingzhou said he’ll come to work for me for free, just needs meals."
Everyone at the table carried a smile on their faces.
Tang Xi took a bite of the dish and felt it was a bit salty; her glass of juice was empty.
She prepared to order another one.
Xu Yiran slid his untouched glass of pomegranate juice over, "I haven’t touched it; you drink."
Tang Xi smiled, "I’ll just order a glass of orange juice instead, to replenish some vitamin C!"
She declined Xu Yiran’s kind gesture.
Xu Yiran slightly lowered his head, his smile at the corner of his lips faltering for a moment, but nobody around noticed.
After ordering an orange juice and finishing the meal, Tang Xi leaned back in her chair, while Mai En took out her phone to play games; Tang Xi gazed outside the window.
Xu Yiran stood up, saying he needed to go to the restroom.
After drinking two glasses of juice, Tang Xi also felt the urge.
The two met at the restroom door.
She was about to enter, and the man was about to leave.
As Tang Xi moved to walk in, Xu Yiran called her name, "Tang Xi..." After calling her name, Xu Yiran slightly furrowed his brow, then quickly corrected himself, "Little sister, I always feel like you look familiar; have we met before? I used to be a doctor at the First Hospital; I heard you were too. We must have worked together before, right?"
Tang Xi nodded. "Yes, we were colleagues."
Clearly, Xu Yiran was not looking to hear just that. Watching Tang Xi going inside, he didn’t stop her, but instead, walked out and leaned against the corridor wall, lighting up a cigarette and taking a few puffs.
Five minutes later, when Tang Xi came out, she saw Xu Yiran standing in front of the window.
The half-open window let the cold wind pour in; he stood there wearing a thin black turtleneck sweater, with a slender neck and fair skin, slightly bowing his head, holding a cigarette between his fingers as if he couldn’t feel the cold at all.
And furthermore, he was waiting for her.
Tang Xi approached, "Brother."
