After Divorcing the Tycoon, I Married into a Wealthy Family Again
Chapter 79: Return to France
CHAPTER 79: CHAPTER 79: RETURN TO FRANCE
Filmed in the Fuller Clan’s underground garage, it must have been those few people.
Sophia Johnson?
James Fuller?
Florence Fuller was more inclined towards the latter.
The video’s hype was retracted quickly; within half an hour it was taken down and all related entries were completely deleted.
Just as Florence Fuller finished handling this, Luke Gardiner’s call came through.
"Why did you pull it down so quickly?" His tone carried a hint of displeasure.
"You want the Gardiner Family to be a laughingstock, to let people seize their handle?"
"What joke? Couples argue; if the hype rises, we could just make a loving clarification."
Florence Fuller fought the urge to curse him and hung up the phone.
She handled this matter quickly, but Old Mr. Gardiner still caught wind of it. Shortly after her call with Luke Gardiner, the old residence called.
Old Mr. Gardiner also sounded fatigued: "Luke, that boy is missing again; he ran to Cloudsea City, are you both okay?"
"We’re fine, Grandpa." Florence Fuller reassured him, "Don’t worry."
"I trust you, but not him," Old Mr. Gardiner sighed, "Florence, I apologize for troubling you."
From Old Mr. Gardiner’s generation to Luke Gardiner, the family only produced one son. Luke Gardiner, as it appears, was spoiled growing up in the Gardiner Family, rebellious and unruly. Old Mr. Gardiner put all his hopes on him, wanting him to settle down after marriage, but Luke Gardiner had already developed a reckless nature. The more Old Mr. Gardiner tried to restrain him, the more defiant Luke became.
Old Mr. Gardiner is ultimately getting older.
"Luke Gardiner doesn’t agree to divorce." Florence Fuller cautiously said, "Grandpa, once I’m done here, I may consult a divorce lawyer."
The old gentleman was silent for a moment before saying, "File a lawsuit. In the end...it was my choices back then that hurt you."
Without the constraint of this arranged marriage, she probably wouldn’t have had much to do with Luke Gardiner. According to Florence Fuller’s capabilities, her career would have flourished, instead of being constrained by marrying into the Gardiner Family and suffering gossip because of Luke Gardiner.
Florence Fuller gave a silent smile, "Can’t say it was harm, maybe it had its good and bad. Because of the Gardiner Family, my career has progressed smoothly these years. Now that I want a divorce, you haven’t opposed it, thank you."
"I am old," Old Mr. Gardiner sighed, "Back then, I insisted it was best for Luke, forcing him to marry. In the end, it left you both in this state. After your matter is over, I won’t interfere with him anymore."
Florence Fuller seemed to understand the fatigue and exhaustion of this old man.
The call ended, and Florence Fuller couldn’t help but sigh.
If not for the Gardiner Family’s strong background, would Luke Gardiner still manage like this?
She turned around, and seeing Ethan Harper remained seated at the dining table, he walked over as she hung up the phone asking, "Do you want to eat a bit more? I can cook another bowl for you."
"No need to cook." Florence Fuller put down her phone, looking at him, "I might be quite busy soon."
Ethan Harper nodded, "Is there anything I can help with?"
Florence Fuller shook her head.
The two silently stared at each other, a long quiet stretch out, Ethan Harper read the meaning in her eyes.
I might be quite busy recently.
I hope you won’t appear by my side...
He looked down, "I’ll be waiting for your message anytime."
Florence Fuller looked at him, "You returned from France, whether in SJ City or Cloudsea City, there’s no work related matters, right."
Ethan Harper had a bad feeling, he looked at Florence Fuller, eyes full of clear pain.
"Go back to France," Florence Fuller said.
Ethan Harper’s heart ached. "Florence, you can’t."
"You stayed for three years, what’s a few more days."
"It matters!" Ethan Harper said, "That’s what matters to me."
Florence Fuller looked deeply at him, the hidden pain in Ethan Harper’s eyes still stung her, she stood up, "Suit yourself."
After redoing her hair and changing her clothes, she left the house, without asking about Ethan Harper’s departure.
Her focus right now wasn’t this. She needed to deal with the Fuller Family.
Lily Hart landed in Cloudsea City three hours later; the initial anonymous poster was also identified, it was a small media studio, the boss’s surname was Jagger.
Florence Fuller was waiting in a tea house private room, handling work in between, when Luke Gardiner found her first.
"You don’t answer the phone, and you don’t reply messages." Luke Gardiner sat opposite her, "Not dealing with the Fuller Clan?"
Florence Fuller looked at her email, without raising her head.
"Did you even hear what I said?" Luke Gardiner complained.
"Do you want me to wait for you?" Florence Fuller looked at him with a blank face, "Considering your personality, you wouldn’t help for nothing. Isn’t that why you’re here? What do you want?"
Luke Gardiner suddenly laughed, looking at her ambiguously, "Do you know me that well? Indeed...cut ties with that pretty boy, and I will help you."
Florence Fuller let out a cold snort.
"What do you mean?"
"That’s exactly you." Florence Fuller looked at him, "Rather than wasting time with you, I’d prefer solving it myself."
Luke Gardiner frowned, "How will you solve it?"
"I’ve contacted Special Assistant Woods." Florence Fuller said.
Special Assistant Woods is Old Mr. Gardiner’s assistant, Old Mr. Gardiner hasn’t completely stepped back from the company; he still has a position.
Luke Gardiner fixed his gaze on her, "Do you even consider me?"
"You’re too troublesome." Florence Fuller shook her head, "Luke Gardiner, the type of person I most dislike doing business with is someone like you."
Luke Gardiner secretly gritted his teeth, looking at her with a dark expression, wanting to lash out but holding himself back.
Lily Hart pushed open the door, "Boss, they’re here."
Florence Fuller closed her laptop.
Luke Gardiner looked over, the person who entered had simple shirt and pants, a very ordinary appearance, not tall, eyes continuously darting between him and Florence Fuller.
Florence Fuller glanced over, placed a cup of tea on an empty spot, spoke calmly, "Mr. Jagger, have a seat!"
Lily Hart left, closing the private room door.
Mr. Jagger heard her address him by his surname, looking at the tightly closed private room door, he felt uneasy:
"Who...who are you?"
Luke Gardiner leaned back lazily on the chair, posture relaxed yet maintaining the grace and pride of an aristocratic son, glanced at the man, then turned to Florence Fuller.
"You released the video; don’t you recognize me?" Florence Fuller raised an eyebrow, though her tone was gentle, her eyes were full of sternness.
Charles Jagger’s heart trembled.
How could he not recognize after releasing the video? From the moment he saw Florence Fuller and Luke Gardiner, he knew.
Back then, the person gave him the video to post, only to realize upon its rising popularity who he had offended.
