Si Chenli brought over his pillow and blanket, and Si Tiantian squeezed into the middle of them. "Daddy, Mommy, I want to sleep in the middle; if I sleep too close to the edge, I’ll fall under the bed."

"Okay." Sang Qiao chuckled softly and placed her daughter’s little pillow in the middle.

Compared to her willingness, Si Chenli’s expression wasn’t so pleasant.

"Tiantian is your daughter; just indulge her a bit." Sang Qiao, noticing the slight displeasure on the man’s face, laughed softly to soothe him.

"Okay." Si Chenli frowned slightly but didn’t want to make Qiaoqiao uncomfortable. Although this little one was well-behaved, there was no telling if she might kick up a fuss later on.

Qiaoqiao’s biological clock usually made her sleepy at this time, and he didn’t want to disturb her rest.

After successfully moving his daughter to the outer side, he remembered the little one’s fear of falling under the bed. He got up and took a soft blanket from the drawer to spread it out.

Only then did he lie down in the middle spot next to Qiao and reach out to pull her into his embrace before closing his eyes to sleep.

The next day, when Si Tiantian woke up, she found herself sleeping on the very edge of the bed while Daddy had taken over her original spot and was cuddling with Mommy.

Her eyes widened in shock—she clearly remembered she had been sleeping in the middle last night.

"Tiantian, are you awake?" Sang Qiao, with bleary eyes, looked over as soon as her daughter sat up.

"Mommy, I want a hug." Si Tiantian crawled toward her mother, feeling wronged—she was sure that it was the bad Daddy who moved her to the edge!

"Alright, come here." Sang Qiao patted the other side of the bed.

Si Tiantian decisively crawled over and lay beside her mother, feeling incredibly wronged. In the future, she’d have to stealthily move Daddy too!

Si Chenli had been awake since they started talking, but he had kept his eyes closed, attentively listening to the two of them.

"Mommy, let’s not let Daddy sleep with us tomorrow," Si Tiantian couldn’t help but complain.

"But if we don’t let Daddy sleep with us, he’ll be sad," Sang Qiao, guessing what had happened after seeing the spot Tiantian had just been sitting in.

"But him not letting me sleep in the middle makes me sad too." Si Tiantian’s sense of injustice grew as she spoke.

"Of course, he definitely wants to sleep with me and be close to our Tiantian, so he moved you to the edge."

"If you sneak her away again, she’ll still be angry."

"Mm-hmm, then let’s wash up and go downstairs to eat, okay?" Sang Qiao breathed a sigh of relief seeing that her daughter had been completely soothed.

"Okay." Si Tiantian nodded, got out of bed, and followed her mom to wash up in the bathroom.

Si Chenli slowly opened his eyes after having listened to the entire conversation, a smirk curling on his thin lips, especially because Qiaoqiao knew the truth but still spoke in his favor.

Hearing that the people inside were about to come out, Si Chenli closed his eyes again and waited until they went downstairs before getting up to wash up himself.

By the time he came downstairs, they were already seated at the dining table eating.

Seeing that Si Chen had come downstairs, the servant immediately went into the kitchen to prepare another bowl of rice for him.

"You’re awake too; I thought you must be exhausted from running around all day yesterday, so I didn’t plan to wake you and wanted you to rest well."

Today was a date with her girlfriends, as well as a chance to prove herself; she had to have a good time out today to maintain her image.

Fang Nianzhi dressed extravagantly and yet demurely, startling the servants who had never seen her dress so boldly before.

But the affairs of the master’s family were not for them to meddle in.
