Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Entering the Room

    "What if I said that child was born by you, his ex-wife?" Everything was too coincidental, he couldn''t help but suspect she was up to something.

    Ning Yichu desperately suppressed her wildly beating heart, looking at the man''s face that was growing darker by the second, "I''m afraid I''m going to disappoint you, you couldn''t do it, how could you get me pregnant? Asexual reproduction?"

    Li Lingyang contained his rage, biting his cheek to keep from strangling her.

    His icy gaze swept across the venue, with its huge crowd and the building being extremely difficult to search.

    "So you refuse to talk, do you? No matter, I have ways of making you tell the truth."

    Ning Yichu''s heart skipped a beat, a bad premonition looming.

    The next second, Li Lingyang released her chin and instructed his bodyguards, "Please invite Lady Ning to visit my home."

    As several bodyguards approached Ning Yichu, her entire body tensed defensively, and she took two steps back, saying coldly, "Li Lingyang, what are you trying to do?"

    Li Lingyang didn''t respond to her, instead turning to direct a meaningful look at the few remaining staff members, "Ning Yichu is in my hands. If you want her safe, have that child bring the billion he extorted over to meet me in Imperial City''s Long Bay."

    It took Ning Yichu a couple of seconds to realize, he was planning to use her to threaten Chen Bao!

    "Getting flustered?" Li Lingyang noted the momentary panic in her eyes, his dark pupils shifting, "It seems that child really does have something to do with you."

    Ning Yichu''s anger flared, "You''ve really got the wrong person, there''s no child here you''re looking for. If I had orchestrated all of this, I would have taken the billion and made a clean getaway by now. Would I still be here waiting for you to catch me?"

    Seeing her adamant denial, Li Lingyang''s eyes grew darker, "Whether there is or not isn''t up to you to decide. It''s my call. Take her away!"

    Ning Yichu was frantic, regardless of whether Chen Bao had scammed Li Lingyang or not, the most important thing right now was that she didn''t impulsively come forward and "recognize" Li Lingyang!

    Worried about Chen Bao and Ningning losing control, Ning Yichu deliberately spoke aloud to the host, "Tell my best friend to keep an eye on my fish tank at home, it''s time to change the water."

    Ning Yichu also recognized the woman instantly, Li Lingyang''s ex-girlfriend—Shen Jiangqing.
