After my divorce, I started to have good luck
Chapter 394 - 229 Jinyun Club
CHAPTER 394: CHAPTER 229 JINYUN CLUB
"Do you think I would lie to you?" Tao Yaoyang looked calmly at Zhang Yuxi. Seeing her face still filled with hesitation, he added, "Rest assured, as long as you successfully win over Chen Feng, you will have enough capital for me to take you seriously. I certainly won’t go back on my word."
"Alright! I hope you keep your promise. I will attend the dinner meeting."
Zhang Yuxi was not the kind of woman who wavered indecisively; she quickly made her decision.
Tao Yaoyang nodded at her with a smile. Zhang Yuxi was undoubtedly a smart and ambitious woman, shrewd and daring, beautiful with long legs and a good figure, plus the aura of a star. He didn’t believe Chen Feng could resist her.
Tonight, he would create an opportunity to help Zhang Yuxi succeed in her endeavor and use her to tie Chen Feng down. In this way, not only could he add a safety valve to his secret investigation of Chen Feng, but he could also further deepen his relationship with him.
Chen Feng’s seemingly unspeakable background made him both respectful and fearful, as well as extremely envious and yearning. If he could connect with Chen Feng through this line, it would bring tremendous benefits to him and his entire family.
At this moment, Chen Feng was unaware of Tao Yaoyang’s plans and even less aware that he was being "calculated." He remained peacefully reclining on the lounge chair, scrolling through his phone.
Wu Mengting and Sun Xiaorui hadn’t returned to the terrace after they went off to choose outfits and get dressed.
After another bout of scrolling, Chen Feng felt a bit bored lying down, so he got up from the lounge chair.
In the second-floor bedroom he shared with Sun Xiaorui, he saw her standing in front of the dressing mirror, scrutinizing her reflection in a dress. Upon seeing Chen Feng, she eagerly asked, "Brother Feng, how do you think this dress looks on me?"
"It’s fine. Looks pretty good," Chen Feng casually commented.
"What about this set?" Sun Xiaorui picked up a set of clothes from the bed and held them against herself, "A wool shirt paired with skinny jeans."
"That works too. Both sets are fine." This time, Chen Feng responded a bit perfunctorily.
Sun Xiaorui immediately took off the dress she was wearing, saying while changing, "Let me put this set on for you to see."
Sun Xiaorui had an undeniable good figure, especially when just in her underwear, which made her even more alluring. However, Chen Feng, having grown very accustomed to her, didn’t get overly excited; he just watched her change clothes with an appreciative gaze.
After watching her switch to this outfit, Chen Feng nonchalantly walked over to sit on a nearby chair, evaluating her from top to bottom, "Comparing the two sets, this one is a bit better, more casual, and it accentuates your good figure better."
"Hehe, I think so too. So, this one?" Sun Xiaorui asked, somewhat happily.
Chen Feng, on the other hand, wanted to see more, so he suggested, "Aren’t there several more outfits on the bed? Try each one on for me to evaluate."
With nothing else to do, Chen Feng suddenly took an interest in her fashion show, especially in broad daylight.
Sun Xiaorui shyly glared at Chen Feng but didn’t refuse, smiling as she said, "Alright then, I’ll switch through them for you to see."
With that, Sun Xiaorui went on to change through seven or eight outfits. If Wu Mengting hadn’t arrived, she would have probably continued changing.
Ever since she had more money, she purchased quite a few clothes, either through online shopping or store purchases, and paid more attention to skincare, body management, and clothing style.
She did all this because of the saying "beauty is for the one who pleases."
The two women took considerable time dressing up, while Chen Feng was simple, picking out a few-thousand-yuan outfit from a specialty store— not overly extravagant, but definitely not an imitation, at least from a well-known international brand.
Checking the time and seeing it was just after five, Chen Feng suggested eating a light dinner before heading out.
The two women didn’t oppose, so the three of them went downstairs for a light meal. Then the two women tidied up in the kitchen for a while before it was past six. With that, Chen Feng took them out.
Following the map, it was about half an hour’s drive to the agreed Jinyun Club, accounting for traffic lights and potential traffic.
Starting and stopping along the way, they indeed arrived at the club in roughly half an hour.
Jinyun Club was located at the base of a mountain, practically on the outskirts of the city. Though called a club, it was more akin to an agritourism estate, covering a much bigger area than expected.
With no extra buildings nearby, the location seemed rather remote.
However, the estate was brightly lit inside, with streetlights lining the concrete road leading up to it, making it very bright.
In front of the villa’s large gate lay a spacious concrete area serving as a parking lot.
After parking the car, the three of them got out, and could already see people waiting at the villa entrance from a distance.
After walking a few steps, they saw Cai Zhixin and his new female companion coming over to greet them at the gate.
"You’re finally here. Brother Tao and Zhang Yuxi have been waiting for a while. Come on, I’ll take you inside."
Cai Zhixin tried to act as before towards Chen Feng, but it was clearly not successful. His demeanor and tone showed evident humility compared to before, otherwise, he wouldn’t have rushed over to greet Chen Feng’s group upon seeing them from afar.
Chen Feng, noticing his increased politeness, thought it was because he had lent money to him.
"Looks like they arrived early." Chen Feng checked the time, noting it was still ten minutes to seven, and spoke truthfully.
"Haha, yes, we arrived almost an hour early. Let’s go," Cai Zhixin said.
Under Cai Zhixin’s lead, they walked into the estate, realizing for the first time that there were suited guards at the entrance. Without Cai Zhixin guiding them, Chen Feng and the others might not have been able to enter.
The estate’s centerpiece was a cobblestone pathway flanked by green lawns adorned with various floral pots and plants, giving it a park-like appearance. The entire estate formed a square shape, with corridors on all four sides. The buildings on the left and right were three-story traditional-style structures, while the main five-story building, facing north to south, was the highlight, appearing quite imposing.
Following Cai Zhixin, they made their way straight to the main building’s first-floor hall.
This grand and tall hall was decorated like an art gallery, with an elegant setup, ancient paintings on the walls, and floor-standing ceramic pieces, exuding a sense of artistic flair.
With familiarity, Cai Zhixin guided them through the hall, bypassing a screen to an elevator that was designed to look like an ancient carved wooden door. It wasn’t until the elevator doors opened that Chen Feng and his group realized it was an elevator.
"This place doesn’t usually host many people; today, Brother Tao has booked it entirely. Even some staff were sent away, making it seem very quiet," Cai Zhixin explained to Chen Feng slightly after entering the elevator.
All three, including Chen Feng, were somewhat surprised upon hearing this, realizing that Tao Yaoyang seemed very serious about this dinner meeting, having booked the entire venue. No wonder they hadn’t seen anyone aside from the few guards at the gate.
"The big star really has great influence," Chen Feng remarked with slight admiration.
