"What’s going on here? Did you two do something?"

Jin reacted, glaring in confusion and dissatisfaction at the two women.

"No, no. We really didn’t. It’s not our business."

Lou Xiaojiao shook her hands repeatedly in denial.

Yu Xiaohui also said, "Actually, we are just ordinary classmates with him, not as close as you think. Besides, he already has a very beautiful girlfriend. We two can’t attract him."

So, Jin took out an old phone used for anonymous calls, with a virtual number, not registered under a real name. He handed it to Yu Xiaohui, demanding she call Chen Feng and arrange a meeting, or face consequences.

Yu Xiaohui had no choice but to call Chen Feng, but after the ringtone sounded for more than ten seconds, it was directly rejected.

She tried again, rejected again. On the third attempt, the call didn’t go through.

Things turned out just as Wang was worried about earlier; Chen Feng still refused to answer. He probably regarded their number as spam or scam.

Initially, they thought Chen Feng and Yu Xiaohui had a shady relationship, and if Yu Xiaohui invited him out, along with Lou Xiaojiao as bait, what man could resist? Surely, he’d come running.

Instead, the situation was far off-target. Chen Feng directly blacklisted the two women, no contact possible, how to trick him over?

"Why don’t you go and discuss it with Ma outside?" Wang proposed.

There was no other way. Among the three, Ma undoubtedly had the most strategic thinking; he was their backbone.

Jin immediately decided to go outside the warehouse to discuss with Ma.

The rolling shutter was noisily lifted up from the inside by him.

Jin, feeling somewhat frustrated, explained the situation to him.

Ma, after listening, felt frustrated too, sensing it was tricky. After all, these two women were already tied up, but if they couldn’t get Chen Feng, the leading actor, the play couldn’t go on.

They couldn’t complete Ning Xiaorong’s assigned task either, nor get the promised reward from Ning Xiaorong.

"Chen Feng has to be brought here. If we can’t deceive him over, we’ll have to kidnap him," Ma declared fiercely.

Jin frowned: "How do we kidnap him? The security where he lives is excellent; the community patrols twenty-four hours, vehicles need passes. Deliveries and couriers can’t enter; pretending to be other broadband, utility staff might not work either."

Ma angrily replied: "We’ll keep stalking at his community gate. I don’t believe he won’t come out."

Jin turned pale; they’d waited three days and nights last time to spot him out. Doing it again, he surely wouldn’t agree—it’s too torturous.

"It’s too inefficient. Last time we waited so long for him to appear. If he doesn’t come out for another week or half a month, we’d keep staking out? And we can’t just keep these two women locked up continually; we’re not actual kidnappers. We can’t do illegal things; it’s not worth it for tens of thousands."
