CHAPTER 210: CHAPTER 210: SCORCHING HOT CELEBRITY GIRLFRIEND

Next, my mom was busy trying to resolve the raw materials supplier issue.

To help alleviate my mom’s pressure, I tried to get in touch with Levin.

"Miss Hathaway, let me be candid with you, it’s because of The Preston Group. You and Mr. Preston are a couple after all, why don’t you try talking to him?" Levin straightforwardly suggested after chatting for a while.

My heart sank; as expected, Henry Preston was targeting my family!

This reminded me of the past; he created chaos with my family to push for a divorce, almost driving us to the brink.

Is history going to repeat itself?

After ending the call, I pondered for a bit, grabbed my car keys, and left the company.

After driving to Preston Tower, the receptionist stopped me and asked if I had an appointment.

"I don’t have one, but please report it upstairs. I have important business to discuss with Henry." I replied politely.

The receptionist looked me up and down, seeming a bit familiar but unable to place me; she must be new since I worked here for a while before, and she wasn’t around then.

She then declined me, "Sorry, Miss, without an appointment, you can’t see Mr. Preston."

"Is he in the company?" I asked again.

"Sorry, I can’t tell you." The receptionist was quite professional and didn’t reveal anything unnecessary.

I sat on the sofa nearby and dialed Henry’s number, but it was turned off.

I had no choice but to wait there.

As night fell, employees of Preston Tower gradually left work, some recognized me and cast strange eyes, whispering among themselves.

During the wait, I called Henry several times, but his phone remained off.

I couldn’t tell if he was genuinely busy or deliberately making things difficult for me.

Then a stunning figure walked in from the entrance, but a baseball cap and sunglasses covered most of her face, making her features unrecognizable.

She didn’t notice me on the sofa, greeted the receptionist directly, and then smoothly entered the executive elevator, both of The Preston Group’s high-level elevators require a card for access.

I squinted my eyes, getting up and walking closer, watching the elevator stop at the floor of Henry’s office.

"Miss, it’s dark now, you should go home." The receptionist saw me approaching the elevator and immediately came over to stop me, asking me to leave.

"Who is she?" I asked, she didn’t seem like Azure.

The receptionist was secretive, casually replying, "She has an appointment."

Now my family’s biggest raw materials supplier was about to sever ties due to Henry’s interference, and he turned off his phone to cut off contact, yet scheduled a meeting with a beauty?

I grew impatient and called Crystal Dawson, "Crystal, is Silas Lockwood around?"

"He is, what’s up?" Crystal asked, puzzled.

"Let him take a call, I need his help with something." I spoke briefly.

Crystal didn’t waste words, quickly handed the phone over to Silas, and soon Silas’s voice rang, "Zoe, what’s wrong?"

"Could you come over to Preston Tower?" I asked.

"Now?" Silas was extremely surprised.

"Yes, right now." My voice was calm, but inside I felt chaotic and restless.

Silas was very loyal, arriving in half an hour, with his close relationship with Henry and his freedom to access The Preston Group, I asked him to take me to Henry’s office.

The receptionist recognized Silas and saw him leading me to Henry, her eyes filled with shock and unease.

In the elevator, Silas asked me, "Why are you suddenly looking for Brother Henry? He didn’t take your calls?"

"His phone has been off all afternoon." I leaned against one side of the elevator, feeling a bit fatigued. The smooth surface of the elevator door reflected my image; due to the company’s issues, I hadn’t slept well, so my complexion was noticeably poor.

I stood up straight and touched up my lipstick looking at the elevator door.

Silas watched me and suddenly sighed.

"You really got together with Ivan?" He seemed incredulous.

"Yes, though it has some bad implications, it’s rare to meet someone who genuinely likes you." I finished my lipstick touch-up, re-tied my hair into a low ponytail, revealing my entire face, looking a bit more refreshed.

Silas looked perplexed, didn’t say more.

At the top floor, I asked Silas to leave first, so he went down alone.

As it was after work hours, the top floor was empty with no one around. Henry’s office was not far; I only needed to push open that door.

I quietly walked over and found the door slightly ajar, allowing a palm-sized opening to see inside.

"Henry Preston, what do you mean?" The sunglasses woman had taken off her hat and glasses, revealing her full face; it was Rosalind Sutton, involved in a sensational rumor with Henry recently.

Henry sat on the sofa with his long legs crossed, a magazine on his thigh. He flipped through it casually, unreactive to the pretty woman beside him.

Rosalind sat down, leaned close to him, "Come on, I’m shooting a film, one call from you and I’m here, but you’re so cold to me, what’s up with that? Is it because what I’m wearing doesn’t please you today?"

She suddenly took off her light purple tight-fitting vest; her black bra was quite alluring, her impressive chest highlighting her slender waist, and she had the body of a snake.

I was shocked by her bold move, but knowing Rosalind’s fiery and direct personality, it seemed in line with her style.

"Still unmoved?" Rosalind bent down deliberately leaning closer to Henry.

Henry’s brow started to furrow, his gaze skimmed to rest on the doorway; I immediately backed off a little.

It’s not right to snoop; though not intentional, I feel like a bit of a voyeur.

"Oh, you’re so bad!" Suddenly, Rosalind’s voice inside was bashful, mixed with delight.

I wasn’t sure what happened between them, but sensed it might be imagery I wasn’t meant to see. As I considered stepping aside, the door opened, and Henry stood before me, "Had enough? Do you want to come in for a live observation?"

There was lipstick on his shirt collar, I wasn’t sure if it was just smudged.

Rosalind sat on the sofa, arms around her knees, staring at me with hostile eyes, "Are you a pervert? Actually coming in when invited?"
