After Rebirth, I Replaced My Ex-Husband's True Love
Chapter 34: The Medicine Packs a Punch
CHAPTER 34: CHAPTER 34: THE MEDICINE PACKS A PUNCH
The effects of the medicine for tonifying the kidneys and invigorating the yang work this quickly? That relative of Laura Lawson’s didn’t actually prescribe Viagra, did they?
My hand was pressed against Henry Preston’s chest, and my mind was in chaos.
"Henry, go take a cold shower!" I was exceptionally calm, even though I had craved Henry’s body for many years. But thinking that we would soon divorce, I didn’t think it was necessary to involve ourselves in such physical entanglement.
Henry’s arms were like two shackles, trapping me on either side of my shoulders. Even in this death-defying angle, looking up at him, his attractiveness was still perfect.
He seemed to retain a bit of rationality, with a fleeting look of annoyance in his eyes. "I’ve already showered, what other methods are there? Continue."
"Should I call a girl for you?" I blurted out.
"It might be too late for that." As soon as Henry said that, he turned into a beast of desire. I couldn’t resist at all, my arms, already lacking flesh, were like matchsticks that would snap if bent. I didn’t dare resist too hard.
For Henry, it was just the effect of the medicine at the moment. He just wanted to release it quickly; foreplay or anything else was not within his consideration.
At the moment of breach, he suddenly stopped, furrowing his brow deeply, with an expression of profound shock in his eyes.
"You... first time?" It seemed Henry didn’t expect it.
"..." I had no romantic first experience, only pain, and suddenly my temper flared up. "Are you doing it or not? If not, get off!"
Henry’s frown eased, and he suddenly leaned down to kiss my lips gently and softly, like a dragonfly skimming the water, with a hint of joy in his eyes. "Doing it."
It’s often said that men have virgin complexes; even if they don’t love you, getting your first time gives them a strong sense of accomplishment, generating a strange feeling that you belong to him now.
I felt Henry was undoubtedly one of these people. As he tossed me over and over, he said unhappily, "I thought you really put a green hat on me."
"You may not care about your reputation, but I do." I retorted to him.
"Didn’t you know the truth about my past rumors?" Henry was sweating profusely, muscles rolling with glistening beads of sweat, as the hormonal aura surged around him.
Of course, I knew. It was just dining, watching movies, going to bars, and staying in hotels, but there was never any solid photographic evidence of bed scenes.
But that didn’t matter; I was jealous and felt the need to give all those green-tea gossip mongers a lesson.
Although Henry and I had been married for five years, we never dined, watched movies, went to bars, or stayed in hotels together. So, why could they?
After sleeping with him, he started explaining his past rumors to me, and I was astounded by the magic that physical intimacy could create.
Henry was already physically fit, and with that magical bowl of traditional medicine, he went on all night without rest, naturally resulting in me staying up as well.
When the sky outside lightened to dawn, I was completely disoriented, unable to open my eyes anymore.
Henry pinched my arm and then my thigh, dissatisfied, "Too skinny, it’s uncomfortable."
I turned over to sleep, not wanting to bother with him.
That sleep lasted until four in the afternoon. My brain almost turned to mush, and when I got up, my whole body was sore. The sticky feeling all over made me impatiently run into the bathroom.
It wasn’t until I had finished showering that I realized Henry wasn’t in the room anymore. When did he leave?
It’s better he left. Getting intimate for the first time in five years of marriage, even dogs feel the awkwardness when meeting.
"Madam, you’re awake?" Laura Lawson had prepared the meal and, seeing me come downstairs, smiled deeply, "Did you sleep well last night? Mr. Preston went to the company at noon and told me not to wake you up."
I dragged my slightly sore legs to the dining table, sat down, and answered, "Slept well. Auntie Lawson, your relative’s medicine... was quite effective."
Just not sure how Laura Lawson would feel, having helped her future son-in-law get potency medicine, enabling a romantic night with his contractual wife?
Just thinking about it makes one regret and want to vomit.
Now that Henry’s pursuit of Azure Vaughn involves an additional star of difficulty, Laura Lawson, having witnessed so much with him and me, will oppose even more strongly.
"Ma’am, men are like this. As long as you can hold their interest in bed, they’ll be devoted to you," Laura Lawson was even discussing bed techniques with me!
"Makes sense, but Henry isn’t the type of man who can be held onto. Maybe he’ll meet a woman in the future who doesn’t need to hold him on the bed, and he’ll obediently stay by her side." I said while eating.
"Ma’am, don’t say that. What changing people, have some confidence. Ordinary women can’t match Mr. Preston. You and he are truly a perfect match made in heaven." Laura quickly comforted me.
I glanced at her again, knowing her daughter would be that extraordinary woman.
After finishing the meal, I went upstairs to play the cello, needing to empty myself, but my phone rang, interrupting my immersive playing.
It was Ivan Underwood calling. I was somewhat confused, "Dr. Underwood?"
"I’m at Whispering Gardens; come over right away." Ivan Underwood’s voice was simple and straightforward.
"For what?" I was a bit dumbfounded. Whispering Gardens is a high-end wellness club in City A, the kind that requires proof of funds to open an account. If I remember correctly, Henry is also one of Whispering Gardens’ major shareholders and sometimes brings people there for business get-togethers.
Ivan Underwood and Silas Lockwood, along with Jason Forrest, are regulars at Whispering Gardens, which is normal. The problem is, I’ve never been there, and suddenly being called there, it’s a bit strange.
Ivan Underwood hung up without explaining, he and Henry share the same annoying style!
But Ivan Underwood is the kind of person who doesn’t call for anything unnecessary, so I quickly changed and set off.
Half an hour later, I was led to a room with several people inside. I immediately spotted Crystal Dawson, who looked like a fighting cock, arms akimbo, bursting with momentum.
Opposite her was Silas Lockwood, trembling behind Jason Forrest.
Ivan Underwood pointed at Crystal Dawson, "Your friend caused trouble, take her away."
Now my confusion was as vast as the stars, "What’s going on?"
"Hey! Little bastard, play that voice message again?" Crystal demanded fiercely, pointing at Silas Lockwood.
Silas Lockwood was a pitiful sight, the youngest son of the Lockwood Family, raised in luxury, never having seen the world’s harsh side, now left dumbfounded by Crystal’s aggression, speaking in a low voice, "I won’t..."
Speaking the most infuriating words in the smallest voice, Crystal was already eager to rush forward and hit him again.
I quickly stopped her, "No, no, no, what exactly happened?"
Crystal took a deep breath, calming down, she recounted the events. She visited Whispering Gardens for a skincare SPA and coincidentally ran into Silas Lockwood. He was sending a voice message to Henry, teaching him how to pursue young girls at the time.
"Henry didn’t come?" My focus shifted.
"He was busy with work, so he didn’t come." Jason answered, then turned back to sympathetically address Silas, "Why don’t you kneel and apologize to her? I’m also afraid of being hit."
