Chapter 243: The Truth (2)
CHAPTER 243: THE TRUTH (2)
Carole woke up with a start but he was still dizzy. He looked around and asked, "Where am I?"
Leo was sitting right across him at a distance of three meters, yet Carole could not recognize the man. Leo replied, "Angkor city."
He took out his phone and showed the media coverage to Carole. The latter realized what happened and his brain started to work normally. The basement was well illuminated and Carole was shocked to see not only Leo but even Snow was present there. He tried to stand up, only to realize that his limbs were tied to a chair.
Carole asked, "What do you intend to do? Kill me?"
Leo shook his head with a deadpan expression and replied, "I just want to ask you a few things, and if they are correct, I will enable you to take revenge on your father. What do you think?"
Carole looked at Leo as if the guy was a fool, and then he chuckled. He said, "Has your brain rotten so much after getting a taste of this foreign wench?"
The next thing he saw was a flash before his chair toppled and slid across the ground, followed by strong pain in his jaw, cheek bone, and neck. It was as if he has been hit by a sledge hammer. Carole groaned loudly. He couldn’t shout or wail because his jaw has been dislocated.
The people knew Leo was strong, Snow and Fragrance thought he was strong too, but to send a chair and a man flying for ten meters and break his jaw at the same time, this was out of their expectations.
Leo was now standing, and he slowly walked up to Carole. Then he looked at the groaning man and said, "Next time you utter shit about my wife, I will kill you, and then burn your body and send it to you father. Believe me Socrate will thank me for getting rid of a stain like you."
Carole was shivering, this was the first time in his life that someone dared to handle him like this, and that too from a guy who had once lost everything to him. Leo took a deep breath and said, "Put him back over."
Simone gestured to a couple of men who carefully picked Carole up and placed his chair back in the place. Leo sat down across him and said, "I have the source that claims, everything that happened to my family was because of your father, and you were just a pawn in that game. I want you to tell me the truth Carole. I hate the people who destroyed my family. If you tell me the truth, I will let you go. If you lie or hide things, I will break you, one bone at a time. Are we clear?"
Carole shivered and then nodded. He was totally scared, he knew that Leo was not kidding with him. This man was already gazing at him as if he is a dead body. Leo asked, "The fact that Socrate asked you to pose in front of everyone, is that true?"
Carole nodded, and Leo blinked as he asked, "Why did he do that?"
Carole gulped and tried to speak but his jaw was broken. Snow said, "Someone give him a pen and paper pad. Let him write the answer down for us."
One man ran upstairs and from the office he brought back a pen and a paper pad. Then he carefully handed the pen to Carole and placed the paper pad before him to write. Carole was honest for a change, and he wrote down things on the paper pad before he nodded after five minutes. His speed was slow and the shivering hands caused his font to wobble, but Leo could read it.
After the young man finished reading, he passed the paper pad to Snow who was sitting beside him. The latter took a good look at the paper and then Snow said, "Are you serious?"
Carole nodded and Leo tilted his head as he asked, "Are you sure that you are his biological son?"
Carole was stunned and Fragrance asked, "What happened?"
Leo replied, "This guy claims that his father wanted to teach him the art of conquer, and since he had no knowledge, Socrate told him about the concept of proxy and then asked him to go and pose to the people. Socrate planned the entire thing to take down my parents. He also dragged me and Snow into it so that he won’t have to worry about any remnants to revolt against him. My uncle was already corrupt and in his pocket.
The glory of this entire thing went to him. Can you imagine, the father is so smart that he fooled the entire world into thinking that his youngest bastard is a business prodigy. However, the son is such a fool that he cannot see the underlying meaning of this entire thing?"
Snow leaned back in the chair and asked, "The question that I have at the moment is, what the fuck does that old man stand to gain from all this?"
Leo and Fragrance nodded, and the former said, "It is something to discuss on a later date, for now, we have to handle this guy."
The two ladies nodded, and Carole opened his eyes wide thinking that Leo had betrayed his words, well the young man had no intention to keep his word of letting Carole go at all. The young man took a deep breath and asked, "Snow, where should we do it?"
Snow smiled and replied, "He posed to be the mastermind, but the real culprit is his father. I wouldn’t bother taking him to the cemetery. You should deal with him here."
Leo nodded, and said, "I will not be unfair to you, Carole. Kyle, untie him, and we will fight, the winner will walk out of here."
Kyle nodded and quickly moved forward to untie Carole, who was still sitting in the chair as he shivered. Leo looked at Carole and asked, "Come, why don’t you stand up and grab the chance you have. Is it not fair?"
Carole shook his head, as if saying, you call this fair? I will die in a punch. He was a fool, but not naive to this limit. He had experienced how strong Leo was, and he didn’t want to get into a fist fight with him. Leo chuckled and replied, "Fine, I will deal with you myself. Since you won’t do it, I will."
Then Leo vanished from the spot, and appeared before Carole. He grabbed the man directly from his throat and punched him in the stomach before tossing him aside. Carole growled and held his stomach, as he tried to take a breath but he could not. Leo’s grab had inflicted damage to his airways, and the solar pelix knocked out all the air in his lungs.
Leo said, "That was a combination attack to make sure you understand the value of every breath that you take."
Then he walked up to him and delivered a kick straight in the sides. Carole was still holding on to his stomach so the kick impacted his shoulder and it broke, sending another wave of pain through his body. The kick was strong and it flung him a good couple of meters. Following this, Leo just delivered blow after blow, and Carole flung around the place like a rag doll.
Even punching bags had a better disposition. Leo had reduced the prestigious young master into a bundle of flesh and fragmented bones. Carole was on his last breath when Leo said, "I told you that I will give you a chance to deal with your father, and I will keep that. However, for now, you should go down to hell and wait for the rest of your family."
That said, he held Carole’s face in his hands and gave it a quick snap. Then he watched the glow of life vanish from Carole’s eyes. Snow and Fragrance watched the entire situation from the corner, they didn’t expect that Leo would be so enraged at this guy. Almost all the bones in Carole’s body had been broken, his body didn’t even look like human body.
Leo panted as he stood up and said, "Kyle, arrange for someone to take this corpse back to the Capital. Then have it discovered by some local, and get the police to send it for autopsy. Also, make sure you use a cool storage to transport this thing. The coroner should determine the time of death accordingly. They should not find out that Carole had taken a trip to the Angkor City. Okay?"
Kyle nodded and replied, "I will have Coyote and the rest handle it, they know people in the coroner’s office."
Leo nodded, and after that he said, "I will clean up in the office, you two can wait in the lounge."
Fragrance saw that Leo didn’t look them in the eye, and she wanted to say something but Snow held her back and they left the place.
...
Socrate Primal was sitting in his study with a glass of wine in his hand. His brows were furrowed and he said, "Martin, do you think this Cardinal Kid has anything to do with this?"
