Leo spent the evening teaching Lily about chess, they let the set to dry and then they decided to go buy a wooden chess to play. Lily picked up an intricate one, and then they came back home.

Lily played a game with Leo, and to make sure that she didn't think of it as a defeat, he would tell her the meaning behind each move. After three rounds, Lily began to make moves with careful consideration in her mind. She was getting increasingly calculative with her thoughts regarding the game.

They only stopped for dinner and then the two were back at it again. When Lily went to bed, Snow came over to sit in Leo's lap and hugged him. The young man was surprised and kissed her lips as he asked her, "What is going on?"

Snow chuckled and said, "Today, we closed the deal for one of the best growing electric power companies. They have coverage through half the nation at the moment. The only problem they have is the burn capital needed to be put in. So, I went in and acquired them at a good price. Now, if you wish to start the car production we have a good enough system to support them."

Leo opened his eyes wide and asked, "Wait, that couldn't have fallen in your lap like that, what did you do?"

Snow smiled and said, "Well, let's just say, their rivals were about to cut a deal with some foreign company and expand network."

Leo was stunned and said, "Woman, you are one cunning customer."

Snow chuckled and replied, "I take that as a compliment. Now cutie, how are you gonna appease this lady for all her hard work?"

Leo chuckled and leaned over to whisper something in her ear and Snow smacked his shoulder as she dashed away with a blush and remarked, "Hooligan!"

The day passed and Leo came to his office, but just when he was about to call the technology head of the company he received call from Markus. The young man picked up the call, and asked, "What is it Markus?"

The other guy replied, "Sir, it seems that the Luger family has decided to bare fangs at the Primals. They have dispatched their best headhunter."

Leo raised his brow and asked, "Well, that's interesting. So what are you going to do about it?"

Markus replied, "I may have used some channels to slip it out in the market and it would reach the Primal family, so there shall be a third law of motion ready for us to watch being proven."

Leo leaned back in his chair and he said, "Well, no, I don't think it would be that easy."

Markus was unsure, and asked, "Why, Sir?"

Leo replied, "Firstly, they will investigate. The person last in touch with Carole would be sought after, and they will do everything in their power and call all the favors. These big families love to fight under the shadows and they pay attention to details."

Markus nodded and said, "I was indeed underestimating them. What shall we do, Sir?"

Leo hummed for a moment and said, "Well, if Spring vanishes it would appear too suspicious, and if they found her, it would be disaster for us."

Markus agreed and Leo said, "Well, let them find Spring, but make sure that she doesn't talk. Also, Markus, be careful when you drive out there, don't drink while you do it."

Markus took the hint and then he disconnected the call. He had a gift for the hunters of the two families.

While Leo was covering his tracks, Bishop was sipping his morning tea, and he was looking out at the garden from his window. His butler Amor said, "Beautiful sky today, Sir."

Bishop scoffed and said, "What will I do with this beauty when I so old that one gust and I will catch fever? Don't bring up such things to me Amor. Now go and call that guy, what's his name, the one we send to investigate things?"

Amor smiled faintly and said, "The Counsel."

Bishop waved his hand and said, "Yeah, that one. I want him to investigate everything about Carole."

Amor nodded and replied, "It will be arranged right away, Sir. The Lugers have dispatched Kastya."

Bishop stopped sipping his tea and threw the antique porcelain cup on the ground, and spoke in a berating tone, "That bitch wants a war. She will turn everything upside down."

Amor patted Bishop on the back gently and said, "Sir, we have things under control please calm down, it is not good to lose temper at the moment."

While on the other side, Kastya had cleared her immigration and walked out of the airport wearing black stilettos and a pencil skirt and blouse shirt. She was dressed in all black and her fair skin stood out in contrast. Then came her glistening blue eyes and blonde hair.

She walked stably but she was fast, outside the airport she got inside a luxury sedan and one man passed her a tablet as he said, "Boss, this is what we know."

Kastya began to swipe the screen that displayed details of the people that have had connections with Carole. It was a complete homework, they had all the details of what the relationship dynamics between them was. Obviously, there was a picture of Leo and Snow in the docket and after reading it Kastya asked, "What is the story behind this guy?"

The man narrated Leo's story briefly, and Kastya hummed before she asked, "What about his movements? Could he be a suspect?"

The man shook his head and said, "I don't think so Boss. This man goes to office on time, picks his daughter, then spends his time with her. His wife is taking care of work. The only thing that he did extraordinary was to buy back his family home and company. However, they are not yet capable of reaching Young Master Carole. That too, when he was inside the prison."

Kastya hummed, and then she said, "I want an in-depth routine on the Primals. The source said they were responsible for it so let us confirm that theory first."

The people nodded and then Kastya said, "Arrange a meeting with this man. I want to assess him."

She was interested in Leo Cardinal and his rise. She wanted to see in person why would someone give up on avenging his family. After all, it was sure that this guy was not as simple as he sounded.

Leo finished talking to Rama Kashyap when he received a call from Stellar. The young man asked, "What is going on?"

Stellar said, "I want to meet and talk."

Leo shook his head and replied, "Bad time. The Luger Family has sent back their head hunter. If we meet now, then we will draw fire from both sides."

Stellar sighed and said, "Leo, Bishop Primal, that undying old fossil has sent out the Counsel. Do you know what this means?"

Leo hummed and said, "It means if they find out anything, it would come to us for sure, right?"

Stellar nodded and replied, "Yes."

Leo chuckled and answered her worries, "Don't worry, it wouldn't. I have taken all the steps. You will stay safe and what may come to me, I will handle it."

Stellar clenched her fist and said, "For your sake, you better do that."

Then she disconnected the call, because watching him act so calm was making her pissed off. The rest of the day was bland.

Days passed as if they had grown wings and the tension in the shadows grew intense. Leo and Snow would pick up the little girl together and then take her home as the winter began to retreat. After one week, Leo received a message from June, the lady said, "Sir, there is a Miss Kastya Luger at the office, she wishes to meet you."

Leo nodded and said, "Well, can you tell her to wait for five minutes. I am just entering the premise."

June replied, "Yes, Sir."

The secretary passed on the message and Kastya agreed. After a few minutes, the young man entered his office and he told June to call Kastya over on the intercom. After a few minutes, Kastya, dressed in all whites this time walked inside the office. Leo met her gaze and smiled lightly before he stood up and said, "Welcome to butterfly tech, what can I help you with, Miss Kastya.."

Kastya looked around and Leo said, "Pardon me, please have a seat first."

The young lady sat down next she asked, "Do you want to kill Carole Primal?"

Leo looked right back in her eyes and answered, "Yes. I did."

Kastya's gaze turned sharp and Leo continued, "I hated him for everything that he did to me and caused a lot of trouble for my wife and child at that time, thankfully we managed to survive. However, I cannot do anything to him at all. After all, he came from one of the rich family and had dozens of ways to get me and my family killed. So, yes, after recovery I focused on my fitness and work that is all."

Kastya understood that Leo won't give her anything and she cannot force him too. So after one hour of idle chat, she stood up and left the place, and as she got back in her car, and the man from before asked, "What happened?"

Kastya smiled and replied, "We have an interesting man at our hands. Let's go, I wish to bath."
