CHAPTER 278: SPARKS IN THE AIR.

The next morning Leo woke up according to his bio clock and after a his daily routine, he found Lily waiting for him in the living room. They had resumed the training schedule like they did in the past and that was something Lily adhered to religiously.

When they finished working, Lily looked at Leo and said, "I met with Sister Zeenat in the morning, she is feeling all better now, when can she start her rehabilitation?"

Leo shrugged and replied, "Clara will accompany her to the check up with the doctor and then they would tell her when to start the rehabilitation. Don’t worry, when sister Zee is cleared for duty, I will have her accompany you to school everyday, and not only her, but also a team of big sisters that would protect you."

Lily nodded but then she asked, "Baba, if they are to protect me, who would protect them?"

Leo smiled at her innocence. He wanted to tell her that the people would protect her because it was their job, but he knew that Lily was far to gentle and unaware of the human nature, and so, he said, "You will grow stronger and then you will protect them."

The little girl thought for a bit and nodded strongly.

Snow woke up and sat on the bed for a few minutes, before she managed to walk out. She sighed and said, "I swear I need to stop teasing him like this."

She was limping a bit as she went to the washroom. Well, she did spur the flames a bit too much for her own comfort. After the shower she walked out of the room fine. The potion that Leo had fed her in the past had increased her healing capabilities.

She sat down to have breakfast with the rest of the family and asked, "What do you all have to do today?"

Lily replied, "I have a day off, I will be home playing piano with sister symphony. She has a competition coming up ahead, and I am going to be her training partner."

Snow nodded and said, "Be good, don’t trouble her."

Lily nodded and continued eating from Leo’s plate. The young man didn’t mind and said, "I will be going to work and inspect the prototypes for the few products that we will be launching in a few days. Also, you can drive the new car, it is ready to hit the road. I set this up in the morning for the display, let that person see what we are capable of and who she is trying to mess with."

Anastasia smiled and replied, "I will go to hold a meeting at the foundation office, because my little star got me a lot of donors, and they would like to see how we are actually working."

The people nodded and Lily raised her chin a little. Leo finished eating, he kissed Snow on her forehead and did the same to Lily, who mended his fine collar and gave him a kiss as she said, "Be safe, and drink more water. Also, bring back some cake, Baba, I liked the one we had at the party last night."

Leo smiled and replied while poking her nose, "No sweets today, you cannot play cute with Baba. We need to have your teeth shine always."

Lily pouted and snorted as she said, "Hmmm, you all only bully the young and poor."

Leo and the rest of the people laughed out loud. They didn’t expect her to say such a thing. Then Leo kissed his daughter and left the house with Snow. They both first went to the office, and Snow found a luxurious white sedan standing in the parking lot.

The car looked very plain and simple, but as soon as a knowledgeable person was to see it, they would know that the vehicle was an epitome of the low-key luxury. She looked at the slightly extended hood, and asked, "Hubby, why is this car so long?"

Leo was about to reply when he froze and asked, "What did you call me?"

Snow stuck out her tongue slightly and acted cute, before Leo poked her nose and replied, "This car has an experimental tech device embedded in it, that is why the nose is slightly long. We are calling this model the Dolphin. The nose has a LIDAR and the forehead has a short ranged RADAR system. Since this is a company car, we will use it to collect the data, and I want it to advance into something that could drive on it’s own."

Snow raised her brows and asked, "Aren’t you a bit too ambitious? First electric, and now autonomous? What if the people say that you have killed the joy of driving?"

Leo shook his head and replied, "We have a specially designed software in place for this model. As long as you use that button, the car will mimic the behavior of a normal petrol sports car, that will go upto the range and compete with a normal super car as well."

Snow nodded and said, "This does sound very nice."

Leo smiled and said, "You are not to drive it alone, I will have a fleet of drivers ready nearby and they will join you when you leave from there, and showcase the designs on the road. Also, I have talked to Stellar and she has promised to bring over a few of her friends from different channels to move over and ride the vehicles to experience the quality. This will get us the market presence, and at the same time, Luger event will be foiled."

The lady nodded and replied, "If Matilda Luger has any plans, I will handle them in my style. Is that okay?"

Leo nodded and replied, "Yes, everything is fine. Do what you want, her jaw might have yet to heal so even if you wish to break it again, go ahead, I will handle it all."

Snow chuckled and replied, "I am not that domineering just yet. Also, if I make a move like you said, the company valuation will suffer. While I would love to show that woman her place, I am not intending to loss the food money for my daughter."

Leo was stunned and then he erupted in laughter as he said, "I didn’t expect that you would say something like this. You have gotten way to snarky love."

Snow replied, "I learned from the best."

After a couple of hours, Snow arrived at the destination where most of the city’s big shots have gathered. She showed her invitation card and entered the place, where many of the big shots came over to shake hands and greet her. Snow replied with a calm and faint smile on her face.

Just then she heard a muffled sound coming from the side, "I didn’t expect that you would be coming, Snow."

Snow turned around and matched her gaze with the newcomer and replied, "It’s Mrs. Cardinal for you, Lady Luger."

This one statement was enough to shower sparks in the air and the people understood, that things between Cardinal and the Luger families were not smooth.
